I remember watching a video of her being interviewed when she was still in the Elite gymnastics, saying that she really likes the routine she was going to do because there's ONE moment in the middle of her routine when she's going to smile! It just shows how degrading her coaches were with not allowing her to smile, and literally telling her that she was fat and needed to lose weight (when there wasn't any weight for her to lose) - claiming she wasn't performing like she should in practice and in competition on her weight instead of admitting that they literally drove those girls so hard that they were exhausted! Now she can smile as much as she wants, and is more confident in herself!💗
I love the look on the face of the little girl at the very end! I've seen the same look when little girls meet Cinderella at Disney. The difference is that this is a REAL woman and role model!
That's not the point she made... she means she'd watch if they were fun like this. A lot of these gymnats are people that were elite(like katelyn) but wanted a career, so they can still perfor liike elites, but ncaa doesn't let it happen. It's just more fun and enjoyable for a lot of people.

CamColeParker I get the flips/acrobats weren’t difficult enough but she wouldn’t have got a high score if the overall routine wasn’t great, not to mention incorporating MJ dance moves is so creative and different.
This is absolutely amazing..I hope her former coaches are ashamed for the way they treated her..she proved them all wrong.. beautiful, amazing athletic..

Man, I tear up as a grown man with little kids at home watching her perform. I can sense the unity between Kate and her teammates and can just sense all the hard work she put in. I keep watching her videos with my kids to give them inspiration. Truly inspirational!
