Love that im riding my 70s Z here in midwest and over in Eurpope they love the kawa air cooled 4cyl too. Best air cooled 4cyls ever built. Built fro. 70s throu 00s. Amazing reliability, ease of working on, and power. Gotta love 70s/80s kawas
Amazing how people still love these bikes from 50 years ago. Had a '77 diamond sky blue KZ1000 and went after every bike I could. Just a Kerker and rejetted.Took out XS11's, GS1000's, Kawi MachIV's. Now ride a Z900 and Z900RS. Love Kawasaki 4 bangers.
GODDAMMIT, I love these Kawasaki Z-1's and KZ'S, I've owned 'bout 30 plus of these legendary motorcycles, on hand I have a '76 LTD 900, that someone gave me complete and runnin'!!! I also have a '74 Z-1 900 A and a '75 Z-1 900 B!!! I can't get away from these motorcycles, so iconic!!!
I inherited a 1976 Kawasaki Z2 750 from my family member who imported it from Japan/Guam into the US. The Z2 was only made and sold into the Japanese market. It even had the little red light indicator that turns on when going over speed per Japan requirements
I was also born in 72 so I like to think I was destined to be a Zed Head. My first bike in 1989 was an 81 GPz550 that I still own and have turned into wicked little Zed. I now also have a 21 Z900 RSC that I adore. It’s pretty much what the guy in this movie was doing to get modern performance with the heart of a Z. Kawasaki nailed it again.
I'm 64, bought my KZ900 in 1980, I jumped up from an Rd350. I thought KZ was fast! Dang! It scared me. Later, I bought a H2-750. Then I found out what fast really was!😊
Z1 was always a dream that or the Bonneville i know own a Z900rs 2018 model its everything and more a bike could be also have the Kawasaki W650 the best copy of a Bonneville ever made. The dream is still to own a Z1. this is a great movie thanks for posting
Greetings from Ireland 🙏 wow what a beautiful collection..from the z1 to the z1300 absolutely amazing...I had a small collection of Kz LTD's from the 440 too the kz1000ltd..have also had the pleasure of the z650 b1 B2 f2 and a c3..a gpz 750h2 gpz1100b2 and a z1300g2..even a zephyer 1100 ..zx10..yes they were some of the bikes I used too own over 26 year's .. Kawasaki are king and still too this day 2021 are still undoubtedly the best motorcycles on the planet.. Kawasaki forever.👍👌🤩🤩🙏🙏🤟🤟
1982 My 1st Kawi was a Gpz550 Then I got a 750 Turbo I have owned many Kawasaki's 72 H2 H1 and a S3 Zrx1200 ZZR 1200 two of them ZX6 ZX11 ZX14 Wife learned to ride at 46 on my 82 Gpz550. She then got a 900 Vulcan My 14 was down and I took a spin on her little 9 and at age 47 The Rocket days where over. She got a Meanstreak and I got a V2K.. Now at 60 and the way traffic is here in NY The bikes sit and collect the dust. 2 knee replacements has kept us to short rides anymore. Team Green will always be in my garage.
Not to boast too much but I got a 75’ Z1b in the garage. It’s not in mint condition due to its 45 years of age, but close, I’d say a 9/10. I’m in contact with a Z1 restoration specialist and due to see it restored to its full glory in a month or so. Can’t wait !! 😎
I remember when the Z1 turbo 1000 came out around 78 or 79. I used to drool over the thing at the local Kawai shop. I had a 75 400 Triple 2 stroke that I had built up. 3, 32mm Mikuni's, Crank balanced and spot welded in, ported, heads shaved, and expansion chambers. Used to do 130+ in a quarter mile and topped out at 137.
In 1981 I attended a professional motorcycle racing event for the first time. Eddie Lawson won on his dazzling lime green #21 Kawasaki - by 16 seconds! The superiority of man and machine that day left a tremendous impression on us! In fact, every time I saw him race the big #21 he was victorious…four wins out of four. 💚 🏁 🏆
I have a Z1 900 1974 since new its been modified over the years . One thing that was mentioned early on in this film was that the Z1 burned oil and that the engine didnt last long , they must have been refering to the two stroke engines as the Z1 engines were for the most part bullet proof and did not burn a drop.
For those of you interested, a first year Z1 sold here at auction in the states in 2023 for a whopping $50k. I do not know all the details other than it was an unrestored, unmolested original survivor. Not sure what the production number was, but something set it far above the others up for auction. I’m just astounded at a Z1 garnering such a hefty price. Carry on.
Built z1000s for police in USA up to like 2008 i believe. Also "Frankensteins daughter" must be german saying. Never heard that referring to something fast/cool before

I was an extremely lucky young man in 1973, buying the first Z1 in my state.

I had a green ‘75 that I traded in a CB5004F for. Great fun, wonderful sound and smooth to ride.
I inherited one today. Where can I find parts?
A magnificent obsession, indeed. And most enjoyable!

Hello my friend... maybe they are talking about early 72/73, but I think like you, they build an amazing piece of engineering, simply and reliable!!!!

Estaría bárbaro subtitulado. No entiendo nada !!😂
And the winner is... Z1 ´72 :)
73 was the first production year, not 72.
Mate of mine just bought October 72 Z1 the month they first came to Australia
MARYJOANNA? HAHAHAHA
A crazy motorcycle for crazy people.....today is only a piece of trash....
That's like calling a Vincent Black Shadow crap. The Z1 is the grandfather and direct reason for all of todays super bikes.
Z1 fans should cek out the other Z1 - movie called. ‘Stone’. type in ‘Stone Intro’ for the trailer
