mother egyptian,dady morrocan..both jewish immigrated to israel where she is born...she sings in many languages..i love u ishtar muaaaaaaaahhh wonderful lady!! greetings from egypt
I agree 100%! I am Jewish and was born in Israel. I live in the United States now, but the only reason my family had to move from there was because of all the violence. We were perfectly happy there, until we got tired of hearing all the blood shed on the news. I really hope that all the conflicts are resolved between Muslims and Jews, especially since this war has been going on for thousands of years. I would really love to have peace there so I can return to my country! I love you Alabina! :)
I love this, it makes my Soul 'lift' and gives me a feeling of 'Hope'...and generally, I'm feeling happy. Thank you for sharing this, I'm posting it to my Facebook Profile, this needs to be heard. Thank you again, for Sharing. :-)
Many thanks, I love the music in hebrew. In fact, the best songs of Ishtar re in hebrew, like "Horchat Hai Caliptus", "Aba" and the due with Ofra Haza "L'sorech Hayam". Great song, wonderful sounds.
@Arabchick18 well said-hopefully your beautiful expressions of hope happen sometime soon-we all have great cultures that we can share with love From NYC with love!

SHES NOT HEBREW-SHE Born in Israel, Ishtar Alabina was raised by an Egyptian mother and a Moroccan father with Spanish roots. She and her two sisters spoke both Arabic and Hebrew and were surrounded by music from an early age.

I don't know ask her. they are tons of Israelis that come from Arabic countries. some still know the language. i know jewish people from yemen, marroco, egypt, iraq, iran, turkey, syria etc. all have grandparents that speak Arabic . Ishtar is 100% jewish and you having a problem with it is your own problem. she isn't Palestinian if that what you are trying to imply. i am not saying by the way that her culture isn't arabic, it is , some of it. still in term of nationality she is Israeli-jewish.
@jmatthe29 well whatever makes you feel happy about yourself. Ishtar is jewish from both her parents, the marrocan and the egyptian and guess what jewish people see themselves as orginated from the hebrew people. of course you can see she had tons of influence from all over. but she is israeli as it comes - i hope it wouldn't destroy your ability to love her music, oh wait a second on second thoughts, i don't really give a damn.
she is really nice artist , and you all arabs ,if you cannot unlock you brains go somewhere else and enjoy your bitterness and self defeat , you are your own enemy you are all depessed erpressed and unmotivated to change your own erpresser your rulers.
@nomorephones i don't really give a damn,too,my friend.here,in greece,we have days of the apocalypse-with the goverment,so,more serious thinks to thing.bye!

so sad to see a division between arabs and jews, the same blood of abraham runs in both affliations. why must we segregate and hate each other? it makes me sad : C
