  • The Wadden Sea National Park in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany) is not only the largest National Park in central Europe. It is also part of the largest tidal flats system on the planet, reaching along the North Sea shore of the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark. The Wadden Sea is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage since 2009.
Here, natural processes proceed mainly undisturbed. During high tide, the Wadden Sea is covered by water while during low tide 1/3 of the sea withdraws. A breathtaking diversity of wildlife is based in this ecoysstem.
This 12-minute-clip introduces the National Park from air. It presents impressive footage from the blockbuster "The North Sea from above".
