“Most dangerous man in America” was a badge of honor. Dan, thank you for being courageous and honorable. Always a gentleman and so brilliant and inspiring. Rest well, peaceful warrior. ☮️
He did stop 1 war, but USA continued doing harm around the world. The most infuriating for me is when official statements are exactly the opposite: we came here to stabilize the region, we are helping the oppressed, we are standing up to bully, terrorists etc. Sad. The real terrorist is USA Pentagon.
Daniel Ellsberg was a patriotic American but he was a global hero. It is so important today to acknowledge the giant on whose shoulders we stand. We have lost many of these giants and the coverage of their passing has been a whisper.Thank you Democracy Now for honouring Mr Ellsberg and others.
We should all remember that Democracy Now sold out & does not cover journalists today being threatened for telling the truth like Aaron Mate (former Democracy Now host btw).
The fraud exposed in LBJ's tapes after 25 years allowed to be public covered Nixon's treason, and Israel's sneak attack which Israelis told Soviets America was al-in for. They fired on USS Liberty, flying a US flag, and unarmed as they were a listening ship. 16 killed to keep them from reporting the sneak attack LBJ was promised would not occur.
If he was dangerous, what were Bush who bomb Iraq and committed genocide half a million innocent infants without milk starve to death when bombing Iraq milk factory, also trillions of dollars were lost in DOD,
Thank you so much for honoring this extraordinary man. As an anti-war activist and anti-nuclear activist he has been a guiding light for me for the last 55 years. His loss has been profound for me. And it’s infuriating to me that Kissinger is alive and Dan is gone now. 💔
Thank you so much for being part of the anti-nuclear movement. I truly think that if there weren't so many of us fighting nuclear power, that there would be many, 1:51 many more nuclear power plants in the United States. After all for decades, nuclear power was the only alternative to coal and gas that could only be run by huge corporations. All the other alternative to petroleum, such as solar and wind did not require a massive corporation to to be big enough to manage as does nuclear. I was lucky enough to make it to the 1982 anti-nuclear, pro indigenous rights, pro alternative energy rally in New York City. There were a million people at that rally and the energy was amazing. I got involved in the anti-nuclear movement after finding a radiation leak at work. I ended up being a whistleblower and was harassed and fired. But I was able to force the employer to start falling the Federal radiation safety regulations for workers. Since I work for a company with about 10,000 employees, that was no small thing. People like Daniel Ellsberg where my guiding light. No one in my family and no one that worked at that place, including all the union bosses, would protest the mishandling of radioactive and other dangerous materials. Daniel ellsberg and Karen silkwood were my guiding lights.
@@Madronaxyz Ellsberg sought to save lives, and Kissinger sought to slaughter the innocent for power. Too many of my friends went to Vietnam, and I was able to get an obscure medical report written by my childhood MD to give to the Army when I was drafted. With the greatest of luck, I was rejected from service, the best day of my life!.
Pretty much since the moment Kissinger declared him The Most Dangerous Man In America, yeah. Ellsberg fought for the truth, Kissinger fought to disguise it. They are not the same people. R.I.P. Daniel, you absolute legend.
My deep Respect for a guy with the Intention and power to do the right thing. You can't protect the criminals and punish those discovering the truth. PEACE 🕊🕊
We must celebrate Daniel Ellsberg's life and redirect our grief toward the systems that threaten the future of our existence, as he himself would've wanted.
Don't trust the media, they 'fabricate' so much content to make dramatic headlines! Be very careful when you start to cherry pick what you're going to believe! 😉

Thank you for sharing this interview. I remember Mr Ellsberg well and am grateful for his service to humanity. Condolences to his family and may he rest in eternal peace.
Daniel Ellsberg - like Julian Assange or Edward Snowden - was a true hero, and no doubt has served as an inspiration for those of such courage that they're willing to lose everything for fealty to their conscience and doing what is right. Ellsberg's fundamental decency and bravery stood in stark contrast to soulless creeps like Nixon and Kissinger. Sometimes one's foes become unwitting testament to the courage and character they so lack. Rest in Peace - Daniel Ellsberg.
What a shame. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He made a major contribution to journalism and democracy, world-wide. Stephen Hardy Macclesfield, UK
Whilst not agreeing with his latest opinion on the Russia/Ukraine war during his discussion with Noam Chomsky, Daniel Ellsberg merits the greatest respect for his blowing the whistle on the activities of the Pentagon. His passing takes me back to my youth and the protests I, along with thousands of others against the Vietnam war participated. RIP.

We need more Daniel ellsberg's in the world right now. Also would like to point out that we're reaping our karma from the bad we've done look at our country it's a damn mess
It’s so cool that Democracy Now got a last minute interview with him shortly before his passing. I’m impressed at how articulate and coherent that he is at his old age fighting cancer. The real most dangerous man in America was Nixon (or Kissinger). Nobody will shed a tear when Kissinger dies but Ellsberg is remembered as a national hero.
You know what I love this man never met him in my life but I can tell you right now he's the kind of person that I love and we need more like him especially to listen right now to what's going on with Dr Greer and how things are just getting ready to tell and you're going to be so happy if you decide to speak your truth right now it's going to make such a big difference in the new world you're going to love it

Hard to Imagine Elssberg dies at 92 but Kissinger is still alive at 100
There's a saying in Spanish:
Mala hierba nunca muere.
Translation: Bad herb never dies
I agree he should have been charged with war crimes. The large to fail. Hopefully what a waits him is HELL.
The toad, Kissinger. I hope he suffers much pain for a looong time before he dies. One of the worse human beings to ever exist.
Kissinger is kept alive to see how his country is suffering now.
