Me and the wife are beginners,we went up 2 days ago via the Railway but walked back down...we are 54 and 53 respectively and in general good health... The scary thing was when we reached the top it was cold, windy and visibilty was about 10 metres and no one else seemed to be going down(only 2 out of our train of 64 walking down)... we asked a member of staff where the Llanberis path was and he told us... It was the unknown that was worrying but after the first few minutes it does just become a fairly shallow path...It probably helped that the mist was so thick as we couldnt see the drops at the top as i dont like heights... As we had never done anything like this before it was ultimately fine and took us 2 hours and 10 minutes to come down...very glad we did it...
That's some stunning looking scenery. The hardest thing about these videos is actually motivating yourself to finish. But once you produce a video to this standard its all worth it. Keep up the good work. 🙂
5:50 i remember walking through that tunnel at about 4am on a summers morning. When you've been walking in the dark for a couple of hours, it's here you realise you're on a mountain. Well worth getting up to the summit for sunrise.
Compared to the other paths yes, but it's still quite challenging, uneven under foot in places and steep inclines in parts. I guess that shouldn't be much of a surprise though 🤣
