Bow covered in epoxy and a number of planks to attach. Enter one cool cat. It would have kicked by the second plank for test of us. Excellent work, my guess the look on the new owners face this yacht should be named the Cheshire Cat.
You just did 2 outside compound curves WITH ... A inside compound curve BETWEEN them...!... BRAVO..! Whats next....? A BOSTON WHALER HULL. LOL COLD MOLD.
The pot life is about 30 minutes. I used West System 207 special coatings slow hardener for this glue up. Yes the wet out coat has hardener in it too. You cannot use un-catalyzed epoxy resin.
Sorry about that. Been waiting all day for it myself. My upload slowed down to 1980’s levels for some reason. Took 30 hours to stuff that through the wire.

@@johngregory4801 yep I understand that and see your point but in a small racing boat the thwarts, ribs etc should do all the structural work while keeping the weight down. Sure if you want a long lasting boat glass it but a fast boat is the desire here isn’t it?
Hello from Ontario Canada, Love the spline idea!! It looks absolutely amazing!
Greetings Aaron. I grew up in Ontario. What part are you in?

Center seam spline looks fantastic.👍👍
Thanks brother.
Wonderful to watch an artist at work. Thanks for letting us tag along. 🇨🇦
My pleasure
Amazing videos. You really deserve more subscribers to your channel.
That part is kind of out of my hands.

LOL COLD MOLD.
What’s next is going to be much simpler....except for the hard part which is going to be a hard hollow tuck in lapstrake planking.
Nice work Mark. Your trimmer is so much quieter than mine!
Not likely. I drop the volume for power tools.
What is the length of your pot time on the epoxy and is the wetting out coat have hardener in it or not?

Been waiting for it all day, finally arrived.lol sad old man.

Yeah, but where IS the chocolate?
Did my daughters put you up to this? Nice try girls. No dice.

RAT. Where do I find that UNSUBSCRIBE button?
I still don’t understand why you don’t put a 2 oz layer of cloth on , makes no sense
And yes I’ve raced boats for 40 years
What can I say. Just not a huge fan of cloth.
Why add the weight though?

@@chrispomfret8592 I wouldn't built a 2.4 in wood unless I was planning on it lasting several years without needing a structural refit.
