Hello there, fellow IISERite here from Mohali. Just wanted to let you know that a CPI/CGPA of 8 is good enough for getting PhDs in prestigious places, and if you could manage to pull that up to 8.5, then you might have a shot at Ivy Leagues even!
(I've got seniors going to Princeton, Carnegie-Mellon, Emory and Rice universities with scores between 8 and 9, but with plenty of projects and good research.)

Ma'am i want to apply for PhD in Management in a Canadian University but my CGPA is refraining to do so.
I have scored 6.48 out of 10 CGPA which will be equivalent to 2.75 out of 4 GPA scale.
I am ready to give GRE and working on writing a research paper.
Is there any chance that i can get admission in a good University in Canada?
    Please reply Ma'am.

For Canada, GRE is not mandatory. Don't take GRE unless it is absolutely necessary. Contact the program coordinators regarding that....
Everyone has a chance, as long as you are not giving up.

    • @jayatichakraborty7407

It’s not super high, but yes HIGH. There are broad spectrum of Universities. If applying for TOP 10 then yes too high even to apply. For ranking above 30 they aren’t super crazy. Universities check holistically, if at one or two areas someone has lower scores, they’ll still consider provided other areas are super good.
