- Following our incredible interview with the ladies in Voice of Baceprot in May of 2023, we were able to meet them LIVE after their 2nd ever US show. We talk about the show, Chicago Style pizza, trying to meet Tom Morello, and more.

Oh if you would have seen the show, you would know what you said is more true than ever. Their bond is fantastic and they have so much fun on stage.
Being each other's only friends since junior highschool because you found through each other a deep passion for something that essentially made you social outcasts will certainly do that to you😉
@@dinowibisono99 Hello Dino, yes, agreed, they remind me of people's bonds who have been through war or disaster (and all they have left is each other). When I first saw this years ago, I thought it was because they were so young, but it seems to be even more noticeable now as they get older! It is very beautiful and heartwarming to see! In the West, there is a lot of stigma attached to physical affection, but they are blowing right through that! ♥
It's not easy to answer spontaneous questions with language we don't use every day. But you - girls are very relaxed and happy to answer it. You are really - really an international musician, it only takes a little more time and you will get used to it and be ready to become a legend. Success for you VOB🫰
I have interviewed a number of artists before who dont speak English primarily, and I lead 3 people from the Philippines for my full time job. I have learned how to make sure to speak clearly and to try and keep it simpler so that understanding me is easier for them. And I always say if they dont understand something I say or are not sure of a word, I am always happy to help them so that the point they want to make comes across. They did a great job and their English skills are growing. That is going to serve them very well going forward reaching international status. And we are here to support that.

@@user-fb8ji9bl4e anda betul pengaruh abah erza sangat kuat sekali..beliau hanya mengajarkan dasar alat music dan dasar bhs inggris..tapi beliau hanya menemani saja selanjutnya mereka hrus berjuang sendiri secara outodidak kalo sudah mentok baru mereka mengadu ke abah erza sebagai jujukan akhir..jd jelas abah erza bukan sekedar guru tapi beliau bisa mengarahkan pemberontakan vob ke arah yg positiv dan berarti buat semua personal.

Yes, VOB's music has its own characteristics, it's pleasant to hear but still fun for head banging. Hoping that their songs can be accepted more widely among metal rock music lovers.
that is something we are hoping for too. I mean, we are fully behind them, Tom Morello is fully behind them, and the guys in Above Snakes (the opening band who have also been on the podcast and are friends) were amazed at seeing them play live. More people need to embrace them and we are here to help

Vob is an Indonesian metal revival musician, both teenagers and parents who used to like metal or rock music amidst the onslaught of K-Pop music attacks despite their singular life.
bringing metal back to the Indonesian population? they will do it. Now if they can get an opening spot for the Bring Me The Horizon show in Jakarta, that would really solidify it

I think VOB and Lovebites are the most exciting things going on in the world of metal. Astonishingly good musically and meaningful lyrics.
Other groups don't keep me coming back for more.
I would throw Band Maid in there as well. But now one thing I am hoping for the ladies is that they get to do a song with Tom Morello after hearing them cover Testify at the end of that show. They really had some great energy and happiness covering RATM

I was so happy to finally meet them. With the interview taking place after their show, I was told I only had limited time and I didnt want to overstay my welcome. We talked for about 5 minutes beforehand and I expressed my gratitude to the ladies because our first episode really sent the podcast into a new realm, and I wanted to make sure my gratitude was known to them

Yes this actually happened. You should have seen me before meeting the ladies, I was anxious and jittery but right when I met them, it all went away and it was one of the most comfortable interviews I've ever done. 1st time doing one in person too. Love the question about their favourite current bands because you hear so many influences in their songs.
A subscriber to the channel submitted that one and I had to ask it. Brought my favorite moment of the entire thing with Sitti saying she listened to Lamb of God to meditate.
Glad to see that they are coming back to the US for a support slot for The Hu. Unfortunately I wont be able to make it to any shows given the location so I wont be able to do another one of these this time around.
