As a health professional and horse trainer let me tell you.....Once horses get into your blood we have a hell of a job getting them out! I have known trainers to get hooked on the training plans they wrote for their horses!

An awesome sport. My father and I were into this 40 50 years ago. I truly loved it until girls caught my eye. Well dad is long gone and I've recently retired. If you guys ever need a little help I'm free and enthusiastic. I am very familiar with Harrington and dover downs. I have many stories and I am an animal lover and I still like people 🙂

@@dariaharruff7025 I'm not sure if I'm glad cause I did have 19 great years right out of college. Like any other job it had highs and lows. One reason is everyone who enters this world, after about 2-3 years, think they know it all! Then you have strict paddock/ groom rules that forever hinder your growth to succeed. Hmmm mmm....Delaware! Finally the purse money per race is so good that horseman who have been around awhile and drivers who have been around just as long refuse to give up and comers a chance to train or drive. If your rich you keep getting richer and the poor suffer. And the cherry on top is sick ass medical insurance that covers dick...and there is no benefits (401k, Roth IRA, etc). You just have to keep pumping and bleeding money and hope when it's time to retire you saved enough and made the right class choices for your horses. Anyone disagree? Didn't think so

It first starts by getting liquored up across the street at the bar then working out with the other drivers on how to fix all the races that day.

Your not very smart likely lost your money at the track. Not allowed to drive as there is a breath machine to check you out.Caught trying to cheat in a race you will be suspended and fined so don’t be ridiculous.

What are you talking about? I was a regular at Greenwood race track in Toronto, Canada for 40 years until it closed. Driver cheating and race fixing was so blatant at the standardbreds it regularly made the newspapers. No driver ever got suspended for race fixing and ticket cashing. The stock market in Canada is the same no SEC or anything cooked books it's all the same as horse racing. Crime always pays in Canada that's why all the third world dogshit comes here.

Ny the way the bar directly across the street from Greenwood raceway was the Orchard Park Tavern. All you had to do was cross the street. It was directly across from the paddock dollar and about 15 feet to the gate and directly across the street. All the drivers drank there. Note Ron Waples junior is an arshole I used to regularly tell him off in the tavern. His brother Randy was the same a bigmouth at the bar. The old fucker Keith Waples always drank there. Ron Waples junior never drank. I never lost even once playing pinball for beer in 40 years!!

parkerbohnn You obviously don't know diddly about harness racing. If you're on a bush league track those things "may" happen but it won't be happening for long. The drivers themselves will call you out. Nobody wants to race with a cheat or a drunk.
