@@chaotic_weeb3635 the pride flag is most likely for Peter Parker in her universe. She isn’t trans as in the comics and even in ATSV there is only a pride flag. She probably only supports the cause which is fine. Now, some people have said that the colour pallete in her universe is heavily indicative of an LGBTQ+ identity. That is not the case, her universe is a mood ring as stated by the voice actor Hailee steinfeld and also how the colours portray emotions. However, I have to say that the way Gwen and her father speak to each other and how she comes clean about her being spider woman… it’s very similar to a conversation about coming out. LGBTQ+ people can relate to that fear and also opposition of Gwen when she came out about her being spider woman. It’s very expertly written and people who feel afraid can relate to how at the end when germs dad accepts her as spider woman… it’s like a person who was against your identity finally comes to terms with it and accepts it. It’s honestly fine that people can assume she is trans but that’s it really, only assumptions with little basis for a conclusion. Whereas there is a lot to argue against her being trans. There is also Peter Parker, why would she have a trans flag in the first place? Peter Parker could be the answer and that is why he was bullied or that is why gwens father was very distraught over his death. He couldn’t believe that person like Peter couldn’t be protected when he is probably one of the most vulnerable people he knows of. Anyways, Gwen isn’t trans but it’s safe to interpret it that way and also there are many ways people can relate to her relationship ship with her father.

Okay, I'm fine with whatever people choose to have as their own headcanon for if Gwen is trans or just supports it, but when I looked it up it told me "Maybe Sony wants to become the new Disney. Gwen is NOT trans. She is animated and has no chromosomes. She is a female character." I am not certain if it is true or not but can people just stop fighting over if she is trans or not because I'm sure the creator does not want a bunch of notifications (if it does show if someone comments smth on their video) about people fighting over a stupid (not hating on the trans or lgtbtq+ community for I myself am apart of it on multiple parts and think it's a wonderful community) little detail in the movie that cause people to start arguing about for no reason.

I have no idea why everyone is so mad. Gwen is canonically/ heavily implied to be trans. She has a trans flag in her room, she has a trans pin on her jacket in some official art, her entire colour palette is the trans colours, and she goes through a story about her identity as Spider-Woman and her father accepting her identity. And even if it isn't canon, it is still a cool headcanon, just like the headcanon that Miles is trans.
