I have same car in Turkey, white no sunroof and style and I've been using it for 8000 km. I have driven the previous generation 110 thousand km since 2012, but this vehicle is truly wonderful! So technologic, comfortable and this 2.0 liter engine feels soooo stronger. And fuel consumption is nearly 5.5-6 lt/100 km. Good car, Thanks VW 🙃
I do just 10.000km per year so I decided to go for the petrol version 1.5tsi, it is not as powerful in torque obviously like the tdi but is truly good on fuel consumption, I'm impressed that with a soft foot you generally stay at 6.5l/100km and I have not to worry about the dpf of the diesel version that needs to do long journeys to be correctly taken care of.
It's a working car, high HP number is not on the priority list. Also this engine comes in multiple power stages, it's just cheaper than making a different/smaller engine.

I'd say this is a luxury of a cargo van, except for one thing, some of the things
