- In this video, I go over my top 5 ways to deal with DDTs in Bloons Tower Defense 6. These moab class bloons can be difficult to pop, but these towers/strategies should make them a bit easier. BTD6 is currently in version 16.2 so hopefully this video ages well.

I went with round 3 DDTs so that these stand-alone towers wouldn’t get overwhelmed in a video about how good they are at dealing with them. In a normal run they would have plenty of support towers that would help them clear the later rounds. Unfortunately, the 0-5-0 sub does not one shot the round 99 fortified DDTs upon entry, but it does get them incredibly weak so they should not be a problem (another reason why it is number 5 on the list). Other than that, all of the information should be accurate, and this list will hopefully help everyone deal with rounds 90-100!

@@thegavgt2126 in chimps and even normal game BMA is not a good option to beat DDT mostly because it not having enough projectile speed to catch up DDT speed causing it to miss. But, there is a change that it will hitting another bloon or DDT and for information BMA special attack are very slow only 1 each 10 second if I correct and I don't know if you can using buff to increase the attack speed
@@thegavgt2126 that possible in normal game with good farming but you need another tower before having both of these in early game because glue and alchemist are basically support tower

Just like DDT that will spawn later super glue and BMA can be brought at late game besides in chimps mode BMA will make you lost so much money because it turn blimps, which your source of cash after ceramic into red bloon that only give you 1 cash in addition lead to gold and rubber to gold will not give you extra money. And both is expensive. So that is not an ideal solution. But if you talking about a non chimps mode your opinion is reasonable and quite ideal actually
0-0-5 wizard is also really good for ddt's and other bloons. Just need to be placed before the round so it gains a larger graveyard
Not only POD pops DDTs, it also cleans up ceramics.

I panicked during the new boss because I forgot about round 90 DDTs and had to pause and this video was exactly what I needed
the towers you build up to match the boss make neutral rounds seem irrelevant

Wizard monkey actually has two amazing paths which can easily deal with DDTs. The 0-2-5 wizard monkey absolutely destroys just about any DDT that enters the necromancer's bloons. Surprised it wasn't at least an honorable mention, because it's OP and pretty affordable.

0-2-5 Mortar monkey is also decent for counter ddt but falls short on price tag. Useful in getting rid of ddt properties if you want to go after round 100

Thanks so much dude, tbh before i watched this vid i thought all monkeys can shoot ddt moab but i didnt know i needed a 2-3-0 Home Village, this helped me out of a round of impopable at round 97-98 of the DDT moab round, Thanks so Much dude.

With the sniper monkey the shrapnel upgrade also applies the maim moab affect
My favorite ddt solver is 5-0-2 glue gunner with village 4-2-0. Its really good, and you can get it easily in chimps before round 90
funfact shrapnel for 4-2-0 sniper monkey can also stun ddts meaning if they were closely packed together 5 can be stunned at once

My favorite combo is a 5 2 0 bomb tower and a 0 2 5 ice tower, very strong combo
You could theoretically go for a 2-0-5 spike factory, so it can pop DDTs by itself, without any support. You can just reject the faster production, as it's just help if you're in a hurry and need the spikes as quickly as possible
Yeah but why not just get an alch? 4-0-0 Alch is able to keep up with a 0-2-5 Spac.

these days 105 is on par with 025 in terms of dps, but that was absolutely not the case in the past. bigger piles only gave like 10 extra spiked while faster production nearly doubles the attack speed
@@turmspitzewerk "bigger stacks" originally gave 20 extra spikes per permaspike (which have 50 by default), but since patch 28 (a few months before you posted your comment) it gives 40 more. "Bigger stacks" increases spike production by 80%, while "Faster Production" and "Even Faster Production" only increase it by 78.5% combined. 1-0-5 is now objectively superior to 0-2-5; it pops more, and is cheaper.
@@nathangamble125 i know, but in any normal run you'd be giving it berserker brew which means x05's pierce advantage is diminished. the additional pierce and damage from bbrew means 025 is significantly stronger when alch buffed, let alone when given other buffs like overclock/CTA/striker too. so 025 is still the go-to chimps option; there's just no world where you don't at least drop a 300 alch on it. though when used alone without buffs, x05 is clearly better especially with access to DDT popping power which strikes a good balance between the two.

I like Unstable Concoction + MOAB Glue + Arcane Spike + Grandmaster Ninja + Alchemist to pop them. Once you pop one, it pops the rest really easily and can beat round 100 with a little help from Spiked Mines
Use Perma spikes for bad.
@@arnnoodles8028 Spiked Mines spam is slightly better than Permaspike, since Perma has been nerfed so many times over the years. Also the fact that being about 15k cheaper makes it a lot easier to get other defense.
thats an interesting combo but its definitely not the best
One of my favourites for this is the crossbow master, not only is he good at popping the DDT layer, but very good at cleaning up the ceramics, too. Especially if you have a track suited well for it. It's also not particularly expensive and buffed with a few things it's really fun. But it does end up drastically becoming less useful after round 115 ish if the entire damage was done by 2 Crossbow Masters

It's amazing to see how far Hbomb has come, be it in terms of accuracy of information (like with the inaccuracy Pre-emptive won't one shot the round 99 DDTs), line delivery (both making less errors and having more emotion), and style (speedy, objective, high quality guides.)

The MAD is also a really good tower for this, really expensive but if you have good bloon/ceramic cleanup it takes care of all the moabs, it just destroys them
MAD solos every single blimp in the normal game lmao. It and PoD are an incredibly easy 2TC. In fact, it's so good at its job that your Bloon cleanup needs to have high pierce or it'll get overwhelmed unless you aim the MAD AWAY from the Bloons temporarily.
It can even kill a BAD at round 100 faster than bottom path.

Thanks for the great video! Before watching it, I only had one technique for getting rid of DDT's, but now I know a lot more. I'll have a lot of fun trying out different combinations of towers.
My current go to combo for DDT eradication is: prince of darkness + icicle impale + MOAB glue + a heck ton of bomb shooters around a monkey intelligence bureau

A 2-0-5 Ice Tower is good too; it detects camo and can cause the DDTs struck to have reduced speed even after they thaw out, plus camo detection.

I've found crossbow master to do very good damage against ddts, enough to take out 3 fort ddts. It helps quite a bit on higher rounds, especially with the master double cross monkey knowledge.

Ray of Doom is pretty pricey but if you're on the right map it will do amazing it literally just shreds every single DDT

No, 1-0-5 is better. It still has higher dps, and is cheaper.
You forgot 2-0-4 Super Monkey, the knock back makes it so that the ceramics after the ddts don’t get past it

2-0-3 is enough or even just get a couple of them to get safe, its much cheaper and only cant pop purples

This video is even more helpful today since they buffed archmage to deal even more moab dps and gave sniper the ability to stun several ddts once as a 4-2-0 crosspath.
When I’m playing chimps, I use Benjamin. On round 95, you can use syphon funding to help with the moabs. It doesn’t do anything to the ddts, but it allows your other towers to focus more on the ddts which helps a lot
But Ben makes you lose a bunch of money with his syphon and trojan
@@pachie2264 I guess that is true, but that’s the only round that I use syphon funding and trojan helps you not get ovrwhelmed. But If you get past round 95 you won’t need money because unless you screw up, you basically beat chimps

Thanks, DDTS have been giving me a hard time
the sniper monkey can be easily spammed, as it is so low in price. for the price of 1of most T5s, you can get 4-5 down easily, and they are OP when paired with an AOE tower like the Tac Zone/Recursive cluster or a fast shooting tower like the Rocket Storm /MOAR Glavies

Like I kid you not, 3 spam ground zero is a life saver, most underated strat for 90 - 99.

sub 0-5-0: not anymore...
I see that you tested all these on round three. As rounds go up, there is a significant increase of bloom speed and health, therefore a round 1 fortified BAD is easy to pop compared to round 100 regular bad, therefore towers like the 0-5-0 sub will eventually stop being able to one shot DDTs.
In later rounds you can get alch buffs and homeland and overclocks

Preemptive is honestly my favorite ddt killer, it's a guaranteed complete oneshot of moabs, fmoabs, bfbs, ddts, and fddts, and does massive damage to zomgs and bads. It leaves the rest to your main lineup and clears Moab clusters for free.
Master bomber and sticky bomb is actually really good for DDT’s, if you spam them they get absolutely obliterated

A 5-2-0 Ray of Doom is an excellent but expensive way of dealing with all the ddt swarms (but it isn’t the best with fortified ones)
0-2-5 Dart Monkey is also very useful, tho you would need more monkeys to take out 30 of them, but for 1 D.D.T he can solo.
thanks, gives things to think about vs ddts, i been putting glue gunner with relentless glue at front, that slows them down but need popping power along the way to take advantage.

i’ve been using the Apache Prime (top path) on the helicopter, and it seems to work really great for DDT’s!
You can just say 5-0-0
I prefer 2-0-5 ice over 0-2-5 because any ddt's hit but not popped stay slow (mainly fortifieds) and then get easier popped by other towers instead of shooting trough your defences
What about a ton of monkey pirates spamming the ability or a pirate lord (need crows nest)
necromancer is also pretty insane at stopping ddts

my favorite is the 1-5 polusted druid if the map isn't too short, cause then no matter how many ddts you have be it 10 or 500 it'll clear them all and it's insides and that's just neat

This was all super useful, but on the sniper it can handle large amount of DDT's as a 5-2-0 sniper
RUclips recommended me this video exactly 2 years after it came out.

My favorite is inferno ring, 5-2-0 village alongside it. Sometimes if I’m feeling spicy I’ll even throw in an alchemist
You have come so far
in my opinion the best DDT counter is 2-4/5-0 (You don't need 0-4/5-2 because of Villages.) Buccaneer even if it has no camo detection it allows you to 1 shot MOABS, BFBS and DDTS (And ZOMGS along with a upgrade in it's abiity that allows you to grab 3 MOAB-class bloons if you have tier 5.) without leaving any of the bloons inside of it, and, if you have a village it becomes a very good monkey to kill ceramics or just moabs in general.
025 Crossbow master (dart monkey) is also super good for the price. It can pop single DDTs easily and clean up most of the bloons solo. With an alch and maybe a Moab glue, it's unstoppable until BADs

Tip use 5-2-0 bomb shooter because it stuns them and destroys the ceramics too! (Some will escape)
Also much too expensive and the upgrades are not very good. Bloon Crush is good, but saving up to that 50k is not very easy.
One of my favs is a mad, you can get it by round 90 (especially if you farm) and it can also solo the bad so my go to is 2-5-0 dartling

I usually like to use 4-2-0 heli pilot because it’s fast and can pop camo bloons. It also does a decent amount of damage

POD is my personal fav against ddts because they basically make a wall that most balloons cant get through
if you are playing on a map with straight oaths like the one with the logs you can go 5-2-0 with wizard to give it some spice
