Oh you’re so welcome! When I went looking for a pattern last year for our elf, I was shocked I couldn’t really find one. I mean…there’s got to be more people out there than just me that wanted to sew for Santa’s buddies. 😆❤️
I'm making these now. I am having to reverse stitch to hold seams in place. I also hemming a little bit. I may cut pattern a little larger next time. I am using flannel so it isn't stretching and hard to put the clothes on but ombre they're on they're super cute. I had to cut the head opening larger as well and I just take the felt collar on the roof and move to the outside for not. can't wait to Mahe some scarves, gloves maybe and elf boots? maybe hard but definitely a coat or vest. Maybe with faux fur, you're right, so many options! Thank you so much for the free tutorial and patterns!
It's always recommended to backstitch at the end of seams, even with teeny-tiny elf clothes. 😉 Glad to hear that it's creating a jumping off point for you! I for sure created the pattern for knit fabrics, so adjustments are necessary if you're going off book a little. Happy Holidays!
I found the shoes on Etsy. There are a ton of elf on the shelf shoes from various sellers, if you can believe it. Haha. I also added wire to the legs/torso by seam ripping a tiny hole in a couple of spots, inserting the wire and then hand stitching it back up. With the shoes on, our elf will stand on its own so it can be posed.
The waistbands are slightly smaller than the pant/skirt opening, so you’d need to adjust that. Plus finish the edges on the woven so it doesn’t fray. I haven’t personally tried it since I designed the tiny pieces with stretch/knit fabrics in mind. You could always give it a go, but it might be more difficult to pull the pieces on the elf without that extra ease in stretch. :)
As in human sized pants, not elf sized? This pattern isn’t drafted by any means for people to wear. I’d recommend finding a pattern already made for you.

where do I get the patterns
Hi, thank you for this pattern. I was wondering if you've tried this with woven fabrics vs. Knits?
The waistbands are slightly smaller than the pant/skirt opening, so you’d need to adjust that. Plus finish the edges on the woven so it doesn’t fray. I haven’t personally tried it since I designed the tiny pieces with stretch/knit fabrics in mind. I don’t know if I’m late to the party but..I can’t download the pattern. Can you help me with this? Please
You need to go to the link above and “purchase” it from my website. It’s free, but you still need to go through the checkout process.
Are you from west Virginia and if so what part because i used to live in parkersburg i now live in south carolina
Ha, yes! I live in Wheeling. ❤️

You have to go through a checkout on my site. Add the pattern to your cart and you’ll get an email with the confirmation and link.
Having a problem with printing pattern. Any suggestions?
With the pdf download? What kind of problem exactly? I’d recommend using the free Adobe Reader program, since it’s what I export to pdf with.
What size do you recommend the pants to be?
The pattern download has the pants pieces. You can select from either shorts or long pants, whichever you’re wanting to sew up!
Can you still do this hand sewing or not??
If you want to, sure! It’s the same steps.
How the the short/pants turn in real short/pants though lol?
As in human sized pants, not elf sized? This pattern isn’t drafted by any means for people to wear. I’d recommend finding a pattern already made for you.
I didn't see any of the original measurements??? Did I miss that?
I don’t include any measurements in this pattern, it’s all pattern pieces that you download and print for use.
