It's nice that even during Shinn's shining moment of the movie they also made room for a badass Hilda moment. Using one of Destiny's afterimages as cover to get close enough to one of the Black Knights to avenge Mars and Herbert is pretty satisfying.

Although, I'm sure that since they are telepathically linked, Hilda would've likely figured that if she just killed the one, it'll domino to the rest, leaving Shinn to impale the pink one and Shinn Finger the blue one, and Hilda would still get her vengeance for her team. Honestly still loved how they had Hilda pull the fast one for getting first blood on the Black Knights. Just shows that even telepaths can't win everything, especially if they can't see a Gelgoog in their face! Lol.
Small detail i only recently noticed when the destiny finishes off the last 3 and goes for its pose, you can see Hildas Goog in the background with the knight she took out having only just exploded.
What I love about Shinn is if you read his background, the guy was the opposite of Athrun. He had no talent. He had to work so hard to get the red uniform and his achievements despite his character issues. Great to see him shine in seed freedom!

It's the opposite. Durandal knew that Shinn had a lot of talent and that he would achieve SEED mode soon. That's why Shinn was a important tool for the Destiny Plan, he's a elite pilot filled with anger and frustration towards ORB. That said, unlike Athrun or Yzak that comes from a very influent family, Shinn still had to climb the ranks and prove himself (even if Durandal was always watching him).

Surprisingly, Durandal luckily scouted Shinn and saw that he got "seed" potential on him. Makes everything convenient for his "Destiny plan". He needs another sword or a chess piece in Shinn to bring down his enemies, specially Kira and Lacus is Durandal's biggest obstacle for his plan.
The Shinn we need in Seed Destiny. Btw i just noticed Shinn's destiny was almost unscathed while IJ and SF was damaged, it's like the reveresed thing in the GSD ending where SF and IJ was unscathed and Destiny was heavily damaged.

Best part of the movie was the treatment of these two. Always loved the Destiny Gundam and Shin deserved so much better as he had some good potential to be a good character.
Memes aside: from the battle to dismantle Freedom to this, Shinn shows compellingly that he is truly a tactical genius. The afterimages theoretically can create covers for many mobil suits. The light wing was never been properly used in Seed Destiny because Destiny Gundam did not have sufficient power source. I waited 20 years for this moment.
Shinn, give him props. My third favorite character and this movie shows a lot of character development. Would put him along the top 3 pilots of that alliance alongside Kira and Athrun. All three of them have superb character development. Its nice to see them fighting together and not against each other. Hope they make another Gundam movie to build off this one.

Strong, even two illusions have physical influence to destroy two black knights. The powers of the Force, either it is Shinn who creates or it is Stellar. In the end, these Accords are more arrogant than the Innovators.
That's what you get if you take shortcuts. Arrogant people because they got handed the silver platter. (Cyber Newtypes, Coordinators, Innovades) But a natural born Newtype, Innovator, or even a Natural Coordinator (yes, they exist but as explained in-universe that it is about as rare as winning the lottery, we get one in Gundam Seed:Eclipse, with the MC being a normal human born from human parents back on freaking Earth but has his genome mutated/evolved to that of a Coordinator) who understands hard work and effort is hard to beat, and has more grounded personalities.
You know it felt so satisfying that the orange black knight member was killed off first after all she was the one who was excited to kill the Yamato team when they betrayed them it would only be fair for her to be the first to be dispatched and by my girl Hilda who is a true soldier (RIP Maas and Herbert there would be no DOM trooper team without you two at Hilda’s side)
SEED really makes characters either good or bad that you'll dislike or hate, which is a good thing since they really did the character right anyway satisfied that all the black knights died LOL

I like the hints throughout the movie that led up to this. Shinn asking Agnes for support which is not something he would normally need against most opponents (let along grunts), Agnes claiming Kira is on a whole other level compared Shinn when we've seen them be very close skill wise, and Shinn losing a sword duel (the Justice's main method of combat) to Shura. Turns out, he just wasn't in his ideal Mobile Suit: the Destiny.
i still remember with shinn in the impulse was a menace during the GSD but fell when he used the destiny but now here in the GSF its like a redemption for destiny. and now lunamaria using the impulse really awesome.
Yeah. A part of me still wishes that Code Geass's Knightmare Frames should've been given the Gundam Seed makeover. I mean, imagine both the Guren Seiten and Lancelot Albion turning into proper Gundams and are able to fight in space.
This scene coupled with other context clues from SEED DESTINY and the SEED FREEDOM novelization, paint a very interesting picture when you put them all together. For all their worship of Gilbert Durandal and the Destiny plan, the Accords don’t seem to realize that Durandal had decided that they were no longer necessary for its implementation, and that he was planning on eliminating them. He met Rey and Rau who despite being clones of a natural were able to compete with coordinators, which broke his perception of coordinator genetic superiority. He completely abandoned the original plan he mad with Aura when he attempted to assassinate Lacus because he realized she was TOO good at what she was created for, and he knew there would be no way to control her. Then there’s this scene. Do you really think it’s coincidence that the boy that Durandal personally selected as his champion, just happens to be able to perfectly counter the Accords psychic powers? Fighting this battle is the real endgame Durandal had planned for Shinn from the very beginning.
@@notlaodefinitely5435None of this redeems Durandal in anyway. It simply shows that his views on how the Destiny Plan should be implemented and managed evolved over time. Keep in mind that when Durandal first came to Aura with the plan, and idea to create the Accords to manage it, he was at most only 11 years old. Lots of time to change his views and perceptions as he grew up.
He was insane in SRW V. Never got hit, had a weapon for all ranges and now here he has afterimages with mass. Honestly i think the case could be made for him to have a MAP attack with them

The crescendo of this scene was immaculate. Shinn counters both of their telepathic attacks and then overwhelms them with an amped up version of their own trump card.
I like how the writer's solution to the Black Knight's mind reading abilities actually made sense knowing Shinn's personality and also salvaged something from Destiny's story by giving Stella a moment to shine in a way that also makes sense.
Shin has a dark corner in his head, Rey manipulated shin and Durandal manipulated shin. those black knights went into shin's mind not knowing how messed up the dark corner of shin's mind is.
Give a swordsman a dagger, he can kill eight men in five minutes. Give a swordsman a katana, he can kill eight armies in half the time. Shinn had to think in the justice because he didn't know it. But with the Destiny, he's on autopilot

It wasn't just any of the Knights, but if memory serves, the one Hilda slashed was the one who killed Mass and Herbert.

For me I view Accord and Coordinator are cyber New type as they're made in a lab.
That's what you get if you take shortcuts. Arrogant people because they got handed the silver platter. (Cyber Newtypes, Coordinators, Innovades)
But a natural born Newtype, Innovator, or even a Natural Coordinator (yes, they exist but as explained in-universe that it is about as rare as winning the lottery, we get one in Gundam Seed:Eclipse, with the MC being a normal human born from human parents back on freaking Earth but has his genome mutated/evolved to that of a Coordinator) who understands hard work and effort is hard to beat, and has more grounded personalities.

You know it felt so satisfying that the orange black knight member was killed off first after all she was the one who was excited to kill the Yamato team when they betrayed them it would only be fair for her to be the first to be dispatched and by my girl Hilda who is a true soldier (RIP Maas and Herbert there would be no DOM trooper team without you two at Hilda’s side)

I like the hints throughout the movie that led up to this.
Shinn asking Agnes for support which is not something he would normally need against most opponents (let along grunts), Agnes claiming Kira is on a whole other level compared Shinn when we've seen them be very close skill wise, and Shinn losing a sword duel (the Justice's main method of combat) to Shura.
Turns out, he just wasn't in his ideal Mobile Suit: the Destiny.

This was my fav part of the movie hands down. With the BGM playing, Shinn stole the show in this sequence.
i still remember with shinn in the impulse was a menace during the GSD but fell when he used the destiny but now here in the GSF its like a redemption for destiny. and now lunamaria using the impulse really awesome.

Yeah. A part of me still wishes that Code Geass's Knightmare Frames should've been given the Gundam Seed makeover. I mean, imagine both the Guren Seiten and Lancelot Albion turning into proper Gundams and are able to fight in space.
Love that Hilda rode in his shadow to get some revenge. She got a kill before Shinn managed one. Lol
This scene coupled with other context clues from SEED DESTINY and the SEED FREEDOM novelization, paint a very interesting picture when you put them all together. For all their worship of Gilbert Durandal and the Destiny plan, the Accords don’t seem to realize that Durandal had decided that they were no longer necessary for its implementation, and that he was planning on eliminating them.
He met Rey and Rau who despite being clones of a natural were able to compete with coordinators, which broke his perception of coordinator genetic superiority.
He completely abandoned the original plan he mad with Aura when he attempted to assassinate Lacus because he realized she was TOO good at what she was created for, and he knew there would be no way to control her.
Then there’s this scene. Do you really think it’s coincidence that the boy that Durandal personally selected as his champion, just happens to be able to perfectly counter the Accords psychic powers? Fighting this battle is the real endgame Durandal had planned for Shinn from the very beginning.
Now that I thought of it, it gives me a glimmer of hope that Gilbert may not be as bad as we thought he was
@@notlaodefinitely5435None of this redeems Durandal in anyway. It simply shows that his views on how the Destiny Plan should be implemented and managed evolved over time.
Keep in mind that when Durandal first came to Aura with the plan, and idea to create the Accords to manage it, he was at most only 11 years old. Lots of time to change his views and perceptions as he grew up.

今までのシンの戦闘って全力で応援が難しかったり、見ていて苦しい部分が多かったけど映画では心の底から「がんばれ」って思えるような感じになっててよかった。

it shows that the Black Knights aren't good pilots. They used psychic powers to throw their enemies off. Glad they were defeated.
They relied too much on their tech and mind powers, and were caught with a serious skill issue when the Destiny came around.
@@Nehfarius with all that they face someone with skills and also someone who's been fighting a lot. Shinn had been through so many battles, they were no match against a serious warrior.

Shinn would have been quite the Gundam Fighter if he were in G Gundam. His fighting style would have fit right at home in that series.

The crescendo of this scene was immaculate. Shinn counters both of their telepathic attacks and then overwhelms them with an amped up version of their own trump card.
I like how the writer's solution to the Black Knight's mind reading abilities actually made sense knowing Shinn's personality and also salvaged something from Destiny's story by giving Stella a moment to shine in a way that also makes sense.
