Jesus did not come to destroy the law or the prophets. They are profitable for doctrine, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. The spoken word of God lives and abides forever. And the word of God is powerful. It's the sword of the Spirit. Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. But how can people hear it, if we don't speak it. Will it hurt us to be immitaters of God? Man lives by every word that proceeds forth from His mouth. For those who say the Law is written in their hearts and fulfilled, here are some things to consider......
Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life. Pro.4:23
Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matt.12:34
But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and those things defile the person. Matt.15:18
I delight to do Your will, O my God, And Your law is within my heart.”
I proclaim righteousness in the great assembly; behold, I do not seal my lips, as You, O LORD, do know. Psa.40:8-9
With my lips I proclaim all the judgments of Your mouth. Psa.119:13
A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For THE MOUTH SPEAKS WHAT THE HEART IS FULL OF. Luke 6:45
The scripture seems to indicate that what's in the heart will come out of the mouth. The voices of evil certainly don't mind speaking what's in their hearts. One woman and a handful of atheists got school sponsored prayer and bible reading banned from every school in America in the 1960's. Where were the Christians? I wonder if they had banned college football games, what would have happened? Those games are school sponsored too. The phones in Washington would have been ringing off the hooks. Yes, the word of God really is a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart.
Yeshua came to free us from the bondage of sin. Satan can no longer use God's Law against us. But that doesn't mean we can't use it against him. Yeshua came to set up His kingdom on earth. There is no such thing as a kingdom without law. And God's Law has authority and power over evil. But it must be spoken. The spoken word has power over darkness. It does no good hidden under a bushel.
The Lord has defeated the Prince of the power of the air. He has given us the kingdom we needed. And the tools we need to reign as kings and priests on the earth. We can no longer blame satan. He has no power over us now. Darkness will flee from the light of Truth. We could have a virtual paradise on earth if we would honor God's Word. But the garden still needs tending. And the weeds of wickedness are now growing thick. We've laid down the scepter of righteousness. And our most powerful weapon, the sword of the Spirit, rests quietly in its sheath. It's time to speak the truth in love. And God's word is truth.
Our country is in trouble. If the Law of God really is written in our hearts, it better start coming out of our mouths. And soon. Blessings
