What a load of old bollocks. Tragically died after a long and fulfilled life as actors who were publicly applauded for their talent. Can you tragically be taken too soon at 94
and missing out Arnold Ridley, James Beck, Janet Davies, Pamela Cundell, Eric Longworth, Olive Mercer, colin Bean, and others no doubt. instead concentraing on one-off guest stars and very minor people
what happened to some of the more iconic actors of dads army Godfrey, Walker, mrs Fox, mavis pike etc etc before you put up a vlog like this you need to get your facts straight.....
And the thumbnail would seem to suggest that Arthur Lowe drowned in the bath and John Laurie as the result of a vicious assault! I'm not joking, check it out.
You missed “Walker” and “Pvt. Charles Godfrey” and “Capt Square” (was that you and is he still alive? Fancy pronouncing MANNERING as MAIN WEARING. “Capt Square’s trait).
Dads Army is the best in British comedy. It can never be bettered and remains an icon of excellence. I am saddened to know that this year, they are all gone, never to return to the screen. Perhaps, God willing, we will meet in Heaven.
I don't believe the narrator and the graphics provider talked to one another as there are a number of discreapncies. The audio description for Phillip Madoc is wrong: He did not say "Don't tell him Pike". That was Mainwaring. the U Boat captain did say in response: "Yor name vil also gon on ze list". It would be nice if a corrected version were to be uploaded.
That's likely because the voiceover is not a real person; it's the same AI voice used on other videos on this channel. That's why the pronunciations and cadence are also flawed in places. The copy-editing/proofreading has not been done very well overall.
Sorry to say I wasn't impressed by this posting. As others have mentioned, there were glaring omissions in the cast and references to characters who most people who matched it wouldn't remember at all. Several well-known actors were given credit for what were essentially cameo roles. I'm sorry to say you dropped the ball on this one. Otherwise, it was a very polished posting. 👎

Yeah the thumbnail literally shows the main character's and don't know 90% of the ppl in the video.

See yuz, I'm off at a minute in.
How about we use a British narrator, someone who can use English pronunciation
Americans are annoying 🤣
You can always count on an American to get names wrong

You missed, shame on you James Beck [Walker] Gone to soon R.I.P
Mainwaring is pronounced MANNERING!!!
How can you miss private walker and Godfrey not forgetting Mrs fox who Jones fancied

Still fantastic entertainment today, fifty years after it was first made, a tribute to the actors and writer's of this cracking programme 😂
WHEN A LOAD OF RUBBISH MISSED HALF OF THE MAIN CHARACTERS AND COMPLETELY MASHED THE ENGLISH NAMES.

Mainwaring, pronounced "Mannering." 6:35
the narration for "fulton mackay" does not correspond with the details on screen (ie the age of death)
Voiceover doesn't correspond with info on screen (which is correct) for Frank Williams either.
Fulton mackay passed away in 1987
TRY GOING THROUGH DAD'S ARMY ACTORS & ACTROCERS. ALL BRILLIANT A CTORS .
I think it’s wadebridge because I live in Cornwall
Why is it showing Frazer being kicked to death aka John Laurie on your thumbnail 😂he died of emphysema.
So many died younger than they appeared. 8:23
Thought Weybridge was in Surrey?.
Wadebridge, Cornwall
wish you wouldnt keep saying "tragically" all the time
concentrating a lot on one-off minor actors and missed more long-term regulars. same "cut and paste" illnesses which i question
Most did very well. This clip is American rubbish
Tragically died my foot , what a load of rubbish you are saying. Just to get people to open your video. 👎
Nothing tragic about them or the deaths stop this bullshit
