It’s actually cultural appropriation for white people to do braids because it’s been part of black culture for hundreds of years. If a white person wants to braid their hair, it’s better for for them to do a Dutch/french braid so they also don’t damage their hair :))

This is not true, asian hair is in fact stronger than african hair and is less likely to break! The only issue is that the braids will get old looking faster because straight hair is more likely to get frizzy
@@disneytoysr4fun975no, it’s not tight enough. i’m asian and my sister tried it and her hair got so damaged afterwards. also, black peoples hair are meant for braids and it has historical background so it’s better if we just stay away from it. pls understand, how would you feel if somebody invalidated you

I've been lazily braiding my hair for 1.5 years and now its down my back. LOL. Leaving it alone helps alot.

Hers is not the thicker 4c more like mixed with 4b or in between that’s why it’s been growing since she started making her hair
Actually 4C hair grows just as fast as any other hair type. The problem lies with retaining the ends. Cornrows work best honestly as it locks the hair in place and low manipulation! Leaving them in cornrows most of the time and only unbraid them when washing them, using the blow dryer to stretch them out and redo the cornrows. (Try that for a year and trust me you'll see your hair will grow so much!) Also don't put tons of products in your hair they're actually useless. Stick to 2 products max, 1. leave in conditioner (which you put right after washing your hair, before blow-drying it) 2. DAX pomade on your scalp (after the cornrows, it will lock the moisture in)

I agree that it’s so pretty! it’s her preference for how to style her hair because she lives with it. Wearing protective styles may be the better choice for convenience and/or avoiding microaggressions. I’m proud that she has progressed in her hair journey!

If you are a non African wanting braids please be aware since your hair maybe a lot silkier it won’t hold and probably pull your hair out. Black people have coarse hair so these hairstyles promote hair growth for us and doesn’t hurt our head if done properly. Please always love our girl while she’s trying these amazing looks and respect the culture both ways always❤ maybe one day we can see short faux locs style on you I think you’d look like a soft princess! You’re already one but yeah 😂
