The debut test series of Javed Miandad who scored a magnificent 163 on his debut and became only the 2nd batsman at that time to score a hundred on test debut for Pakistan.
Miandad finished the series with 506 runs at an outstanding average of 126 and also took 7 crucial wickets in the 3 match series at the age of only 19 years.
In the 3rd test match, Javed Miandad also became the youngest batsman at that time to score a double hundred at the age of 19 years and 141 days and helped Pakistan win their first ever home series since 1964-1965 and their first win at Qadaffi Stadium Lahore.
