A safer bet would be tyres. Irrespective of EV or gasoline, vehicles have to run on tyres. So, why not consider a stock like JKTYRES which is currently at attractive valuations...PE, PB, good fundamentals
Basically, auto sector is a cyclical sector which was omitted in the video. 3-4 years of up cycle(sell) 3-4 years of down cycle(buy). One needs to time the cycle approximately to buy or sell, no SIP. Though there will be changes in terms of tech & consumer behaviour in the next 5, 10, 20 years, one cannot take a long call on any auto stock. One needs to keep watching the changes & see how each company adopts to the changing environment, factors specific to the Indian market & should take a naunced approach in investing in the auto sector.
VW can acquire a software company Or build an inhouse team Or both - building the Hardware is the tough part, "recreating features" is not that difficult - it is integration with the hardware which is tricky to provide a smooth user experience.

What do you mean? Volkswagen can form a team of software engineer with 50-100 software developers. It is not that hard. Do they need dedicated one developer to support one car😁 don’t understand
