I realize that Geummi was considered the leader, but I don't see any real evidence of that from the way the others behaved around her. She didn't seem to have any kind of authority. I never saw her telling anyone what to do. Maybe she was the leader because she was the oldest, biggest and strongest.
I think the title Leader is solely based upon age and not any boss type thing. Like Ji-soo is the leader of Blackpink but doesn't really lead. I think the primary job of the leader is to act 'in charge' while on stage by being the first to answer questions. Hyebin from momoland does this all the time.
Sometimes leadership is quiet and gentle, like keeping one's head straight when others are overly excited/anxious/upset, and giving support to whomever needs it the most. Setting an example of responsible behavior instead of being self-indulgent. Little things like that.
