Correct and the root cause of why American English is different to Australian English was the 1782 Noah Webster Spelling reform post American Revolution. Had that not occurred any english dialects derived from American like Philippine English will sound the same as British Derived Australian Singaporean Brunei Malaysian New Zealand Hong Kong Indian Subcontinent and South African English. Therefore you could not differentiate Jay and Jake from Each other
jay has a slight Korean accent when he speaks English, it’s so cute. Given the fact that he left America at 9, it’s understandable why he lost his accent and his English proficiency
