    An excellent and very informative video Ana, many thanks for sharing. I've yet to get any fruit apart from some small Mamillaria Haageana fruit which I should probably pay a bit more attention to. 🙂🌵💚

    Awesome video, Ana 😊 I didn't do much pollinating this year, focusing more on propagation now. Thank you for sharing with us as always. Have a wonderful day and week from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜☕

    Hello, can I still get seeds if seed pot is very dry like a dry leaf dried? I left the seed pots on mg easter lilies and they dried out within a week or so with boiling heat.

    • @CactusCaffeine
      @CactusCaffeine  4 месяца назад +1

      Yes you can! If the seeds don’t fall off easily when you crack the fruit open, you can soak the fruit in water first then clean using a strainer.

    I have had my cactus plant to close to twenty years and it has never flowered. It has grown new branches but never any blooms. I live in Ohio so I don't have the long sunny seasons of the desert, but how would one stimulate flowering? I guess cactus fruit seems out of the question. Thanks.

      Do you know which variety of cactus it is? I'm in Ohio too and grow cacti, succulents and orchids. Maybe ...if it is one that grows VERY large...it may not flower any time soon. Or like the fuzzy old man's cactus...they rarely flower. Try out echinopsis. Those will flower readily for you once they are mature ( usually a bit bigger than golf ball size or so)

      @@Misslou2425. Thanks. My cactus looks like the cactus at 6:34, the one with the white card in the pot. Sorry don’t know the name.

      @leerhode1021 that one is a parodia. Where are you keeping yours? Maybe it is a lighting issue? Do you put it outside during spring and summer and fall? My plants go outside by the end of May or so and go back in around October. But l grow under growlights when they are indoors. I am.on RUclips here too....

      Maybe more light. I noticed my plants that get sun only until about 10am bloom less than the ones that get sun till noon

      @@Misslou2425 I live in an apartment complex and my windows face the west. My plants get the majority of the sunlight during the afternoon and early evening hours. I open the blinds in the morning and that is the maximum sun that I can provide. The cactus seems very healthy, and it has sprouted two more branches and a new branch sprouted two years ago and it appears healthy and well. The plant just never bloomed any flowers. Thanks for your suggestions though...
