For anyone new to Armored Core and wanting context and Armored Core For Answer (AC4A) spoilers: the short answer is in the 3rd route's climax mission, you accept the most massive payment ever to go killing millions of civilians, and you go flying from one massive airship to another destroying them with very little resistance, following the crazy guy's goal of sending a message. It's a pretty dramatic mission on the account of how you have to actually put in the effort to move to each airship for your choice of massacring civilians, even though it is by no means difficult. It also seems to be the canon route. The following mission is especially exciting. All of the good guys team up to defeat the world's most horrifying monster: you. 5 of the best ACs vs 1, and probably way more difficult than any of AC6's uneven matchups (oh, I guess the crazy guy was there with you at the start of the fight, easy to forget).

"Memories" should be reused here, the "So I'm scary" simply hits different after you realise a bunch of brindge crew of last few warships can only fire in panic seeing a 40 meter tall machine flying like a jet towards them only for the pilot to "look them in the eyes" in a way, landing on last one and punching their ship to death.
I really hope someday From adds the Karman Line as a special PvP arena. Fighting Rusty with infinite energy was so exhilarating, and I want to fight actual players with that gimmick.
I wonder why the PCA would invest so much resource on some bulky, easy to hit moving coffins. Mobility is shit, firepower is OK but easily dodged, basically just target practice for ACs.
Arrogance, really. You see how they think their LCs and HCs are enough to take on experienced AC pilot when they aren't earlier in the game, so I expect that to apply to their ships.
The answer is that these things are supposed to be fielding their own AC equivalents. This mission is after the fleet was taken over by a Corp that only had like 1 AC left on the planet. And he had betrayed them. The only other times you fight the ships are when they are parked on when it is just 1 or 2 of them. And in both cases that had AC equivalent backup that you kill during or immediately before the fight. Their job is to bring a great deal of firepower to bear against non mobile targets. So basically kill everything that isn't an AC
Another factor too is that as an ac pilot, 621, aka us, is quite literally known as a God of death at this point. We have done so much impossible to comprehend feats that we can't be even compared to another ac pilot, outside of rusty. Notice how the admiral of the fleet said that we are priority target after she noticed us on the field. it's how dangerous we are. This is also right after the mission of us killing all Arquebus high value ac assets, such as Freid. At this point, Arquebus is throwing what heavy elements it has left to stop us.
