This video saved my life! When i read the manual i didn’t understand anything, then i saw this tutorial and it literally saved me approximately like 3 hours.
Hello. Do you know of if there is any air filter inside the unit? Once it sucks air into to water, there should be a filter for the air... and how to clean it? Thanks
If you intend on using it frequently, say at least once or twice a week, we would recommend keeping it setup. Many Lay-Z-Spa users leave theirs setup all year round.
@@crystalfurrow2310 we recommend using Clearwater Chemicals. The Clearwater Hot Tub Starter Kit is a great choice for beginners as it comes with a chemical guide and includes all the chemicals that you need to get started.
I have not owned a lay z spar for years I just bought one end of season sale are the floaters in the Madrid box I bought a pool starter kit it’s got powdered chlorine …. I still have 6year old multifunction tablets in my garage
Trying to set it up the Madrid for the first time having trouble. The doughnut inflated perfectly, but the hot tub will not inflate. Does anyone know what we are doing wrong?
Thank you for this maybe you should have a code on the instructions that takes you here as the manual is terrible and I’m normally good at these things
Is the floor supposed to inflate too? Its not in the instructions or video, but there is a valve down there. It does not want to inflate, but I just don't understand why it is there?
What about the reset button??? Instructions say use a thin object to press the button in, but there's a large pea size button(labeled reset), and no hole?? Heater has been on for 4hr and water is at 35 degrees still (we filled it with 34 degree water) and we had it set to 37?? I pressed in the reset button with a finger, is it just press and done? Should the heater be on or off? Filter on or off? Device on or off?? Should the display change? How do we know the reset was done successfully? Instructions are bad. And at this point idk if my spa is even heating??
Is it okay to use chloride in way smaller form than used in the video. The cloride i have are way smaller bits that i think i just have to add to the water
Hi, The only tablets we can think of like that are these: www.lay-z-spa.co.uk/clearwater-mini-qik-tablets.html They're intended to give a quick boost of chlorine. Ideally or ongoing water treatment, you should use slow release tablets in the dispenser or granules which can be dissolved then added to the water.
The thing t5hat you screw into the compressor to inflate is full of holes! The air just blows straight out of it! I had a load of mysterious bits I have no idea what they are for!
i fill with warm water it takes ages and loads of power to heat cold water. ive got an attachment that fits over my mixer taps in the kitchen and fill with a mix of hot and cold
@@Hustl3club i dont know what its called but if you go to B&Q youll find them in the hose pipe section. your hose connects to the bottom and then it fits over your mixer tap, mine is grey and yellow. costs about a fiver
Hi Cheryl, The ChemConnect is for slow dissolving tablets such as Chlorine or the ClearWater Multifunction tablets. pH +/- comes in granules which should be dissolved in a small amount of water then applied directly into the Lay-Z-Spa.
I had to bring heather box inside so it would start up...10 min inside .if not it displays error code E03....had it inside for 10 min ..and connect then no erroe code ..... walla everything works .it takes time to warm water to 10 c then it heats up
Hi Chris, You need to very carefully (for your own safety) pour a bit of boiling water into the pipe to loosen the plastic and make it mouldable, then attempt to reshape the pipe.
My pump exactly the same as this makes a high pitch noise when the bubbles are on. Drives me mad I can’t relax. Any solutions to solve would be great I have tried everything.
I have just found that the pipe feeds the air into the tub might be the issue. Once connected and I ran the bubbles on I then turned off. I loosened the pipe and air came out until the water the came out after. Tightened back up and the noise is gone.
The fix is the pipe that feeds the air for he bubbles once connected run the bubbles turn off then loosen the pipe and let the air out until water comes out. Problem solved.
A bit confused as to why the video is showing an attachment on top of the one above the filter. that's the one to float in the spa with the chlorine tablets in. no wonder people having trouble heating there hot tubs if they follow this.
I fill mine up half way with the water on cold and fill the other half with warm. Else you will be waiting hours for it to warm up! And yh you can just use the hose from your tap👍
I am still confused about step 2, what is it sitting in, and there is not instruction between inflating the hot tub and inflating the number 2 bottom pad so how do they go together??
Hi there, this is happening because the air temperature is low and the freezeshield function is kicking in. You can trick the pump by putting some warm water in the pipes to get around this.

u really opened the manual did it have anything interesting in it lol
Thank you for this video. The manual is hot garbage. This video is perfect.
sure is.i came here looking for the same thing.
Correct!
The manual made me want to commit murder
Video saved the day! We thought you just had to tap the on button, but really you have to hold it down
Thank you thank you thank you 👏 was at my wits end until i found this tutorial.
Probably the worst manual I have come across.
Why the manual isn’t just a QR code to a video like this heaven only knows 🤔🤷♂️ thank you this is great for us first timers 🙏
hey, did you get one? hows it after 1 yr?
Yep, for a £500 product......the manual is an absolute embarrassment.
It’s so basic how are you so dense
Thank the instructions were usleless will be sharing the video for others who hv the same spa

Very clear and helpful. Thankyou.
Thanks so much this video really helped with setting up. Brilliant 👍
Yeah great vid 👍
My question is can you leave it permanently inflated and covered up to use someother time?
Or must you always deflate and drain after use?
If you intend on using it frequently, say at least once or twice a week, we would recommend keeping it setup. Many Lay-Z-Spa users leave theirs setup all year round.

Hi Sean,
The base is padded but does not inflate.
The valve you see is for drainage and leads to the drainage pipe.

The holes are there to keep the pressure at a standard rate I think. Prevents over inflation.
mine never gets like that when you store it..lol...and it leaks air

Hi Mindy,
I believe you're referring to the ChemConnect?
This does attach inside the hot tub and works in the same way as a chemical floater
Thank you . I never fix this with the terrible manual. 🥰
Can you use the hose water or do you have to put warm water into it aswell? X

It just deflates like a ball or lilo usually would.
