i admire Geno, he is very honest and it is hard to find honest coaches... He will tell you how it is..... Great program, Great coaching staff and how he goes about his business.............
So Linwood, I heard a Geno interview yesterday where he talked about Saniya Chong's performance this year. I was amazed, scratching my head. Did Geno actually praise Saniya? Yes, for the first time that I can remember EVER. He said that they would not be here, now, without her. Its about fucking time!!!! I may have to change my opinion about him. For years I have quoted Sue Bird's assessment; "he's an asshole." Always using middle school tactics comparing one player against the other...kind of like which puppy will out-muscle the others at the food dish? I do hope that they go all the way, and when Geno cuts down the net, I'll be thinking of Sue Bird's remark.
for what it's worth, I wouldn't trade a single episode of the Geno Show for anything I saw on the HBO series. just a lot of pointless slow-motion photography over and over again with portentous voice-overs to add gloss to little content. HBO just mailed it in IMO. but let me add a big "thank you" to SNY for their game coverage and replays. looking forward to next year!
