That is why he is in the Garden when Jesus is arrested (see Vol 5 of the Poem); only Mark's Gospel records the unnamed young man, as this is an autobiographical detail. Marjiam (formerly the orphan Jabez) becomes Marjiam who, living beyond the lifetime of his adoptive father, St Peter, later becomes venerated as St Martial, if I recall correctly. St Martial of Limoges helped evangelize Gaul.
