The second stamp -- the flower shape -- would look great with gold or silver embossing, too. Such a simple elegant card!
I was tempted to do that one is gold! But then I knew I'd have to wait for the red inks to dry first. But that could be resolved by stamping and embossing the gold flowers first, and then stamping the red part. Next time, I guess. :)

I just wanted to say: (1) this card, like all your creations, is beautiful; and (2) I used to follow your blog many years ago (I'm thinking 10+, when I was in high school/college) and 2 days ago, as I was thinking of making a Christmas card for my fiancé's mom, I suddenly remembered your blog but couldn't remember the name and was able to find your blog using "DIY card making embossing." I'm so glad to find out you're still creating! Your videos are so calming. (Someday, hopefully soon, I plan to own the amazing supplies you have and learn to make cards from your videos.)

I love the embossing folder you used, but I find it really cuts my cardstock, even though I wet both sides prior to using the folder. Beautiful card. Love it!
Have you tried using a thicker cardstock? Maybe even watercolor paper? That would be my first thing to try.

I certainly do! I believe Anna Griffin herself does this, so I started to as well and it’s been great! Just know that you’ll need to replace the magnetic mat more often.

It’s a 5x7 folded card base. I had some larger cardstock a while back and created a few 5x7 top folding bases to save for future use.
