I'm torn between this and the trimmui smart pro
The sticks on the RGB10 are way better than TrimUI. The screen here is more vibrant as well. The PSP performance is probably a little better on the TrimUI, but at the end of the day, if I had to pick one, I would most likely go with the RGB10 Max 3, but I haven't compared them side by side. Questions like these are impossible to answer. It comes down to a game by game basis. The performance for both is very similar. A lot of people love the TrimUI, but I can’t stand the sticks on that one. So I’d pick the rgb10 max 3 if I only had those two to choose from.
How would you rank this device in comparison with the TrimUI Smart Pro and Powkiddy X55 based purely on physical build quality and N64/PSP performance?
Hmm 🤔 Let me give that some thought and I’ll get back to you later today.
Ok. There isn't an easy answer to this question, but I've given it some thought. The X55 has the biggest screen, and the most RAM. The RAM should theoretically give it better performance, but I don't think it does. Performance wise, I think the TrimUI Smart Pro probably comes out on top, because it seems to push most N64/PSP games at slightly higher frame rates. But it also has the absolute worst joysticks I've ever used in my life. So... if I'm ranking based on build quality, it would be RGB10 Max 3 in 1st, followed by neither at #2, and the X55 and TrimUI Smart Pro tied for 3rd. The X55 feels incredibly cheap from the moment you pick it up, and the TrimUI is slightly better, but I can't get over those sticks. Performance wise, they're all very close. It's hard to say because I think it's going to come down to a game by game basis. But it's probably the Smart Pro in 1st, the X55 in 2nd, and the RGB10 Max 3 in 3rd. Just keep in mind that those margins are pretty thin.

Yeah. I didn't consider the shape when I was just looking at pictures online. So, I was really caught off guard when I actually picked it up. Felt like I had to talk about that part.
@@BoKnowsGaming they must be experimenting. The X55 was much more ergonomic and we'll received. Maybe they wanted to go with something "more" pocketable
What has been the most comfortable handheld so far?
Great question. Probably the Anbernic RG556. But that one is quite a bit more expensive. I still enjoy the Powkiddy RGB30 a lot. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Performance wise they’re basically the same. The X55 is more comfortable to hold, but the RGB10 Max 3 feels like it’s built with better plastics.

They’re both great. It’s hard to say. Performance wise they are very similar. So it really comes down to form factor. Do you want a bigger screen or something that can fit comfortably in a pocket.

This device is garbage! All powkiddy devices are trash. Don’t waste your time or money. But no honest RUclipsr will tell you that so I did.
Haha. I would have agreed with that statement a year ago. But in the last year they've put out multiple decent devices like this one. They seem to be genuinely trying to make higher quality products.
