I like Bucky's story arc in the movies better. Childhood best friends vs what is essentially Marvel's version of Robin made Bucky's death and reappearance all the more emotional, plus that scene where Bucky suddenly realize who Steve is and that he's making a huge mistake was incredibly powerful vs Steve getting the cube and saying "welp got the cube here's your memories back." Bucky's film counterpart is one of my favorite fictional characters of all time.
I like the movie Bucky much more. Sebastian Stan really did an excellent job with a character that could have come across as flat and one dimensional since he barely spoke and had that mask on most of the time.
Michael Otis yes but is not about how much he does but how Sebastian Stan plays him. Even with no lines, you could clearly see that this was a character with depth. In my opinion, CW did not do much to show more light into this character and I left not knowing anything new about the WS except the words used to control him. However, the actor showed the struggle within the character even when the script failed to address it. I loved CW but I would not have chosen the CW "plotline" over another Cap movie that properly ended the CA trilogy.
Yes. I was referring to Sebastian Stan's portral of the character. Comic book Bucky is a much better written character since his origins are better explored.
CaraMarie13 I honestly think Sebastian Stan is one of the greater actors in MCU... Especially considering his character doesn't really do much except be "Steve's friend" and assassinate and fight. He does a good job conveying emotions and intent with his eyes, sorta like Tom Hardy's Bane.
+Professor Protein It's funny. people seem surprised by the "twist." but if you paid attention during Cap 2, you would have seen that Bucky did it all along. That's how Cap knew. So by everyone's logic, he was your favorite for half of the second movie. lol
+Professor Protein Cap not signing the accords wasn't entirely about Bucky. He saw first hand what happens when you blindly follow governments. Hydra infiltrated Shield from the beginning and used Bucky as a weapon. He didn't want to become the same. it was his morality that was the reason he was picked to become a super soldier in the first place. His story arc since the first movie explains his motivation for not signing.
He was always badass. The movies just kind of opened it up to more people. In the comics, he's gone toe to toe with Iron Man, punched Galactus in the face, beat the shit out of Punisher, and takes any risk. In the Civil War comic, he's easily one of the most badass characters in any story.
Really? He first refused the accords before he even knew Bucky would come into the picture! And he refused them second time because Tony actually held Scarlet Witch in house arrest against her will, confirming all the fears Cap had about the Accords and how they would be used against their free will as people. And while Bucharest did happened because he wanted to save Bucky's life, as you remember the order was "shoot on sight" (would YOU actually let your friend die, just like that and not try to help?), the airport scene was rally not just because Tony wanted Bucky, but because Cap was in a hurry to stop Zemo who was alredy on his way to wake up the rest of the Winter Soldiers, who would be impossible to track after they'd been send out to a mission. The fact that this was all a trap by Zemo, doesn't make Caps believing they were a danger in that moment any less real. Cap even tries to explain the situation to Tony, but Tony just ignores it all. I also remember Everett Ross (agent of Joint Counter Terrorist Centre) laughing in Caps face when he asked for Bucky to be assigned a layer. Trampling on human rights of prisoners this much, that's definitely a "government" one should trust to decide what is good for you. Not even talking about the Raft prison of U.S. Secretary of State Thaddeus Ross, that is basically a high teck version of Guantanamo. And the last fight? Saving one friend from killing another friend both traumatised by their own past? And yeah, he should have told Tony Hydra killed his parents, he really should! But he actually didn't know for sure Bucky was the assassin, as he says so himself. And as we see it in Winter Soldier that shows the winter soldier as a hydra assassin, he is not directly connected with the article about Howard Stark's death. Not to say that back then Cap didn't even know yet Winter Soldier is Bucky. But hey it's a work of fiction. To each their own interpretation.
Honestly what the Russo brothers did to the Winter Soldier story arc was a master piece of its own. Although I enjoyed both I have to favor the film due to its more emotional charged moment when buck begins to remember bits of his past. Also the fact that buck received some super serum in the film made him that more of a badass
Most modern comics fans are too young to remember this but there used to be a saying that no one stays dead in comics except Bucky. The Winter Soldier comics killed that idea unfortunately
The idea that there used to be a gold standard of, "No we can be sure this one's staying dead," is baffling to me. That's just...not how comic books work. You can watch each atom in a character's body fly apart but also stay in place to confirm that yes they disintegrated and no it wasn't a teleport fake-out. But that character is still 100% confirmed to be coming back to life someway, someday, somehow.
captain america 2 was by far the BEST marvel movie since iron man. The storyline was awesome, had some awesome kick ass scenes, they though in emotional and realistic stuff, plus the twist and final downfall of hydra(sort of)?! hell ya! that movie was awesome
I think winter soldier has a much more solid plot and yes is a better movie but civil war is more entertaining I'd say. I still prefer winter soldier though
Have you read the comics man? Lol That storyline has less to do with the movie than this one did. It be easier to say what they do have in common hahaha
+Angus Mayo It was a weird moment when I first realized that "My Country 'Tis of Thee" was actually a re-worded "God Save the Queen," and one that made the skeptical part of my brain become more skeptical. That being said, the melody in question is technically patriotic for both the UK and USA, even though it truly belongs to the UK. So what you say is true (from a British perspective), but most of us spoon fed Americans really don't know the difference, and would never dream of challenging anything handed down from our fore fathers.
IanPeon It's a weird one that. It seems a lot of the time the UK and USA are competing (for whatever reason) and yet we share the tune as a symbol of the glory of our countries. 🇬🇧🇺🇸
scotcheggable Yes and no. Each nation in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland) does have its own patriotic tunes and anthems, but God Save the Queen is the true anthem of the UK as a country.
+jeanie dreamie Harry Potter doesn't have a lot of differences, but the movie does leave little things out like S.P.E.W. , Winky the house elf and Peeves.
Russo brothers really made Bucky and Caps relationship so great you really feel the pain in that scene where cap says “then finish it, cause I’m with you till the end of the line...” and the reaction between him and Bucky at that moment really just make you empathize with them that is where I said this movie goosebumps and it’s my 3rd favorite in the mcu movie and oh man from then on I definitely liked those characters more and they are my top 3 characters in the mcu for sure all time
These are so fun to see (as someone who didn't grow up with Comic Books/friends or parents that read comics). Thank you. Hope you'll be doing Civil War, as I know that one is pretty far off from the movie.
That much I did know. Everyone's almost entirely out of character, aren't they? Plus a certain someone dies for no real reason. ( I know a little from watching video's like this around youtube). Thanks!
Lavinia de Mortalium ehh not sure about everyone, but Iron Man is WAY out of character at least (and manages to convice spider man to reveal himself on television somehow) Also the guys shown to be the bad guys in the conflict win and the comic does a bad job of making this seem like an acceptable ending.
I really enjoyed _TWS_ film. I liked how the writers managed to fit Cap very well into our post-9/11, post-Snowden world.I believe it's good that they've simplified the story into film, cause it would have been too convoluted for mainstream audiences, but the subtle references and easter eggs are all there.
+NukeMarine make it a 4 fold, who goes there. the thing from outer space, the thing. the thing reboot. (comics unnecessary as way too many). could be a fun miniseries
On the dismantling of Shield: That is from another series entirely, Secret Warriors, where Nick Fury finds out about the Hydra infestation and founding of Shield.
I honestly kept waiting for the reveal that Alexander Pierce was actually Red Skull in disguise for years operating Hydra from within SHIELD. I still think that would have been a great twist.
anyone else like to see a warfilm following captain america (& bucky)'s stand ins, how they struggle to keep myth alive despite lack of powers but probably SSR tech, be nice way to show the howling commandos, Peggy & Howard stark some more.
I was hoping for the Hydra twist in Civil War (Winter Soldier, see edit below) because in the comics it had recently been revealed that SHIELD had been a Hydra organisation all along. Edit - I meant Winter Soldier. This is why proof reading comments is good for you, and why not paying attention to when you are typing is very very bad for you
That's funny - when I was growing up I always heard of Bucky being one of the three unressurrectable characters in comics, along with Uncle Ben and Jason Todd, because of what the impact of the event meant to everyone around them. I thought most people also felt something when Bucky died. (It's funny, and a little sad, that only Uncle Ben remains on the list of unressurrectables.)
I'm not American and I don't mean to offend I like the USA but does anyone else find that the pledge of allegiance is creepy. Sounds like something North Korea would do not a free country.
+Darren Turner I'm originally from USA and was punished in school (maybe age 7?) for refusing to say the pledge of allegiance in class because I thought it was creepy because of the words and hive-mindset. They sent a letter home telling my parents that I was being obstinate, but I still refused to do it even though my parents grounded me (and my dad beat me for it later when the school kept sending letters saying I wouldn't say the pledge). I'm an expat who's lived overseas for almost 10 years, and I find it doubly creepy that they were making us -- children with no concept of what the words meant -- say it. Honestly, I have so many problems with America. I'll never go back willingly.
+Maddy James That's weird, I know a ton of people that didn't sing the Pledge of Allegiance from 2nd grade till now and had no problem. What part of the U.S did you visit or where at?
Your boy Ed boy Colorado. This was in Colorado Springs. I was sent home once at one point for it by the school. And beat by my parents at least once for it.
HerdULIekLetsPlays This would have been early-mid 80s, right in the middle of the hyper-conservative Reagan 80s. America is nuts. Will NEVER go back willingly - I'll go teach English in Korea first.
It's not too different but I still agree, The Crow is my favorite Comic Hero, well Anti-hero the movies (aside from the Wicked Prayer) were amazing to.
That's movie exclusive, Zola in the comics has had a robotic body for a long time (in facts that's his gimmick). Plus he doesn't appears in this arc. He's important in the Ed Brubaker run but not in this particular arc.
+Sloth Yeah, like most Disney movies based on pre-exciting works. The Disney version have very little to do with the source material. For example Kaa in the books is not a villain like he is in the movies. He helps Mogli out a few times. I think it would be fun episode but it would kinda be like this video and Roger Rabbit one. It would more or less be focusing on whats the same then whats the difference since they are so different.
Yes. The books and movies are very different. In the book, Baghera is female, Kaa is not a villain, as he helps Mogli deal with the monkeys (by eating them) and different things like that.
They definitely create a better story for Bucky in the movies. The fact that he was more than just a sidekick made the winter soldier reveal more impactful.
+Joseph Dipalo I thought Civil War mixed the flashy superhero aspect really well with the more real word threats set up in Winter Soldier. Great movie.
+Marcos Fernandes de Sousa Júnior In the First Avenger he wasn't the "secret dirtywork assassin" in the comics. He fought alongside the Howling Commandos in the movie, and in Civil War I'm pretty sure he was trained by the Spetznaz or something like that as the winter soldier, and he trained other special operatives (but I won't spoil!)
+MrMister681 That one is pretty interesting because it was written and directed by the author. He left certain things out for the sake of streamlining the narrative and leaving out some tough moments. But all in all it's basically the same just with some more David Bowie.
One of the major changes is how the main character actually seemed autistic in the book. And a lot of extra scenes, maybe a video about it it's not that necessary, but I'll take it anytime.
I have to say that when i read Captain America: Winter Soldier, it felt more as an origin story to Bucky than a Captain America story. The movie got a better story for Cap but the comic was more about how Bucky turned into the Winter Soldier
Everything really. Just like all the Marvel movies major arcs there only in name and semi in plot. For Civil War its has nothing to do with Bucky. It was about how these Z list heros fucked up this city and now the government is pissed now Superheros have to unmask. I could go on but that would take for ever.
Wow! This was a really great "episode" of What's The Difference! I must say, as much as I like all of the What's the Difference videos, I really really loved seeing the comic book panels directly compared to the movie version in this! That made for some very cool visuals. So, basically, if you wanna do even more What's The Difference videos on comic book movies.... I think I would be in favor of that! ;)
+ZOMB135LAY3R His original uniform was seen on display at the festival Steve and Bucky attend at the beginning of the movie. This was more of a nod to the fact that Chris Evans played Human Torch in the original Fantastic Four movies.
Um no... that's not what winter soldier means. I guess it was comic that got it wrong and not cinefix but yeah that's not right, the actual definition makes way more sense.
there was this idea come up at the "Winter Soldier hearings" which I believe were hearings about war crimes in Vietnam. The name is sort of a bastardisation of Paine's idea of the "summer soldiers" and "sunshine patriots." Summer soldiers were soldiers were ones who fought because they had to, they eventually go home. Winter soldiers were always at war, whether it was because war never ended or they couldn't face the end of war.
The opening action/fight scenes are also different. Comic TWS opens with an AIM assault while the movie opens with Batroc taking over the SHIELD ship in the Indian Ocean
I don't know what Samuel Effin' Jackson did to earn the Nick Fury role, but he clearly doesn't deserve it. One-dimensional acting, given how much dialogue he was in. Sebastian Stan conveyed more nuance with so little speaking in the movie version.
This is a little random, but when I watched the winter soldier I called Alexander Pierce Donald trump and then he turned out to be a villain I was like, I might've just predicted the future (I watched the winter soldier in 2016)
+blacktigerpaw1 I don't think Steve/Bucky is happening. It's just a brotherly relationship. But many fans think that they are all gay for each other. I don't care if they call me or you homophobic, it just never seems like it would happen. Even Sebastian himself had an opinion.
I'm probably a bit late here but the tesseract has been confirmed not to be the cosmic cube. The tesseract houses the space infinity stone which is why it can be used to create portals and travel through space
I guess it's more of a difference for the previous film, but there was also Bucky's role. Comic Bucky in the original Golden Age run was a kid sidekick a la Robin. Then his *return* in the Winter Soldier arc reveals that that was just what the world *thought,* and he was in fact a Jack Bauer type doing what a less dark hero wouldn't. That Bucky was never who we thought he was in the beginning was big!
The film actually does keep the flying cars. Fury tries to activate flight mode in the SUV when he's attacked, but the flight systems had been damaged.
I agree 100%!
Totally agree!
Bucky is also the biggest hero in MCU movies. He has been victimized for 50+ years but never whined about it or felt sorry for himself.
Plus the actor who made Barnes, did a very good job on every film. Almost no lines on Winter Soldier, but very good with the stares.
+toríbio Gubert he's a handsome SOB. Would like to see him in more action films.
agreed
I like the movie Bucky much more. Sebastian Stan really did an excellent job with a character that could have come across as flat and one dimensional since he barely spoke and had that mask on most of the time.
Movie Bucky is great but he doesn't do much in this film except being an unstoppable supersoldier. He becomes more dimensional in Civil War
Michael Otis yes but is not about how much he does but how Sebastian Stan plays him. Even with no lines, you could clearly see that this was a character with depth. Honestly, I used to think Cap was boring as fuck. After his trilogy though. He's my favorite. Well, after The Winter Soldier.
+Professor Protein It's funny. people seem surprised by the "twist." but if you paid attention during Cap 2, you would have seen that Bucky did it all along. That's how Cap knew. So by everyone's logic, he was your favorite for half of the second movie. lol

Russo brothers are the best at doing marvel movies in my opinion.
Can we all just agree that just cuz Martin Scorsese said marvel isn’t cinema that doesn’t mean all superhero movies are completely garbage.
I think the best part about the MCU is still being surprised if you're a comic book follower, but you still get those Easter eggs.
The Winter Soldiers MCU origin is better
Most modern comics fans are too young to remember this but there used to be a saying that no one stays dead in comics except Bucky. The Winter Soldier comics killed that idea unfortunately
Neg Ative oh shit yeah that's like fossil memory damn I'd completely forgotten
Nobody stays dead except bucky and uncle ben
Uncle Ben is always dead
The idea that there used to be a gold standard of, "No we can be sure this one's staying dead," is baffling to me. That's just...not how comic books work. You can watch each atom in a character's body fly apart but also stay in place to confirm that yes they disintegrated and no it wasn't a teleport fake-out. But that character is still 100% confirmed to be coming back to life someway, someday, somehow.
To Marvel fans it was Bucky, to DC it was Jason Todd
captain america 2 was by far the BEST marvel movie since iron man. The storyline was awesome, had some awesome kick ass scenes, they though in emotional and realistic stuff, plus the twist and final downfall of hydra(sort of)?! hell ya! that movie was awesome
couldn't agree more.

+Digital West Mission report December 16th 1991...
no room left in this comment chain buddy lol
Dude, you just triggered every winter soldier out there...now I have to round em up again. Bucky! Bucky, where are you. man?
winter soldier was better than civil war
+Joel Velimir I agree.
Winter soldier was better than civil war
+arturo Pendragon Winter Soldier was definetley better than Civil War...
I think winter soldier has a much more solid plot and yes is a better movie but civil war is more entertaining I'd say. I still prefer winter soldier though
Doesn't matter, Marvel still made bank
Wow this is the way on how you change stuff in a storyline while also staying faithful in a few ways as well
Your gonna do Civil War at some point I hope
+Jake Johnston lol. It's going to be pretty long.
That video is going to be about 7 hours long tbh
+Robert Decker I'm okay with that
Have you read the comics man? Lol That storyline has less to do with the movie than this one did. It be easier to say what they do have in common hahaha
They only have a fe scenes from the comics and they use the base plot for the story of the movie.
I love how you played the national anthem of the United Kingdom in a Captain America video! 😂🇬🇧
+Angus Mayo It was a weird moment when I first realized that "My Country 'Tis of Thee" was actually a re-worded "God Save the Queen," and one that made the skeptical part of my brain become more skeptical. My God! The movie was way better than the comic, and that is a first one.
I thought the same thing!
Same with Civil War. And Jessica Jones S1 was better than Alias in my opinion.
+Walter Kovacs yeah, alias went a bit...TOO far, even Stan Lee said he didn't know why they would do that.
the movie was soo shitty, hahaha
In season 1 he raped her but in the comic he made her want to have sex with him but then not have sex with her
The best MCU film.
Still is.
I thought of a trilogy call the civil war trilogy:
Winter soldier
Age of ultron
Civil war
Could you guys do WTD for Harry Potter and for Lord of the Rings?
+Maswartz226 One of these is literally on deck for the next episode. Tune in to find out!

Winter Soldier was a reference to the Vietnam soldiers who endured great hardship; which was meant to be a counter point to the Sommer Patriot.
You guys have a great sense of when to add old footage and silly sound effects. Love the big eared dope kissing the girl in the old man logan ep. 😊
The difference? The film was moreless released in summer where the soldier in question is winter. :)

you better do it for civil war too.
+JamesonDoesStuff daz gonna be an hour long episode
+Write To Be Fit i don't care!
I'd say it's a BIG difference

+Maddy James That's weird, I know a ton of people that didn't sing the Pledge of Allegiance from 2nd grade till now and had no problem. What part of the U.S did you visit or where at?
Your boy Ed boy Colorado. This was in Colorado Springs. I was sent home once at one point for it by the school. And beat by my parents at least once for it.
+Darren Turner Do they still do that? I think that was more of a 50's thing. I might be wrong since I'm not American xD
HerdULIekLetsPlays This would have been early-mid 80s, right in the middle of the hyper-conservative Reagan 80s. America is nuts. Will NEVER go back willingly - I'll go teach English in Korea first.
Brubaker's Captain America run is one of the best comic runs of all time
PLEASE DO THE CROW WHATS THE DIFFERENCE 😸😸😸
I FUCKING SECOND THIS
The movie is actually very faithful to the novel, with the exception of few minor details.
It's not too different but I still agree, The Crow is my favorite Comic Hero, well Anti-hero the movies (aside from the Wicked Prayer) were amazing to.
+werewolf914 I heard both the sequels sucked lmao
+SepticHead I still need to read the novel
30 days of night: comic vs. movie!!! That would be amazing
What about Zola's conciousness beign stuck in a computer?
That's movie exclusive, Zola in the comics has had a robotic body for a long time (in facts that's his gimmick). Plus he doesn't appears in this arc. He's important in the Ed Brubaker run but not in this particular arc.
+Bruno Franco yeah comics zola is 1) completely different and 2) still active, in fac the regularly cheats death due to, yknow, being an AI now.
+aceotaku Do you think he might show up in the Marvel Phase 3 Movies?
Torres Liam i dunno, its unlikely though
I mean, they killed off Baron von Strucker offscreen
I guess. Maybe
3:44 actually, you can see the human torch (the robot, not the F4 one) at the expo early on in the First Avenger.
how about WTD for jungle book?
It would be whats the same tbh. The movies are nothing like the book.
Are you sure?
+Sloth Yeah, like most Disney movies based on pre-exciting works. The Disney version have very little to do with the source material. For example Kaa in the books is not a villain like he is in the movies. He helps Mogli out a few times. I think it would be fun episode but it would kinda be like this video and Roger Rabbit one. It would more or less be focusing on whats the same then whats the difference since they are so different.
Yes. The books and movies are very different. In the book, Baghera is female, Kaa is not a villain, as he helps Mogli deal with the monkeys (by eating them) and different things like that.
The "he's my friend" and "so was I" hurt. Don't fight, mom and dad!
where is ths "game of thrones what's the difference"?
It's somewhere in the couch cushions, I don't know. I'll check later.
+Casey Redmon Please do a Civil War follow up! This was very well done and I'd love to see a Civil War What's the difference!
They definitely create a better story for Bucky in the movies. The fact that he was more than just a sidekick made the winter soldier reveal more impactful.
Can you do a What's the Difference for The Fox and The Hound?
This was great. By far, The Winter Soldier is my favorite of the Marvel Films.
could you do captain America civil war batman vs superman
its a combination of the Dark knight Returns and the Death of Superman.
ah
+Leigh Silver Apples and Oranges
I love that part where captain america says "He's my friend," and iron man sadly responds "so was i." i was like "awwwe,"
Alexandria Miles
That’s in civil war. This is winter soldier.
50 Shades of Grey - What's The difference?
Yes
+My pointless life no
Yes! Xx
That may qualify as torture.
Luken looks like Doctor Strange's and Tony Stark's lovechild
Is it me or does Alexander pierce Kind've looks like Donald Trump
+Bad Mofo Not in the least...
+Emil Christophersen Then it's just me
Yeah, a bit in the shape of his head, and his hair
Please don't tell me you don't know who Robert Redford is.
Robert Redford looks like trump???? Hahahahahha
This movie lead directly to one of the best plots in tv with agents of shield
Civil War just barely beat this movie IMO
+TheMeowersChannel I agree
+Joseph Dipalo I thought Civil War mixed the flashy superhero aspect really well with the more real word threats set up in Winter Soldier. Great movie.
***** Boring? Wow
***** I don't mean to be a dick, but that's an odd criticism. Wouldn't it make more sense to say there's like 30 min of content or something?
***** Man, i dont see how it was boring at all.
7:14 and the studio didnt want to hire DRJ for an extra movie xD
Coraline?
2:20
...those beautiful patriotic hands...
*puts the scene on slow mo with bassy jazz in the background*
Can you do "The Life of Pi"?
Why can I like this more than once~!
They did adress bucky's "assassin" background in Civil War didn't they? Mentioning that he did what Cap couldn't or something similar.
+Marcos Fernandes de Sousa Júnior In the First Avenger he wasn't the "secret dirtywork assassin" in the comics. He fought alongside the Howling Commandos in the movie, and in Civil War I'm pretty sure he was trained by the Spetznaz or something like that as the winter soldier, and he trained other special operatives (but I won't spoil!)
he made the tough calls cap couldn't bring himself to do
Namur. Harrumph. Great video.
Can you make The Perks Of Being a Wallflower?
+MrMister681 That one is pretty interesting because it was written and directed by the author. He left certain things out for the sake of streamlining the narrative and leaving out some tough moments. But all in all it's basically the same just with some more David Bowie.
One of the major changes is how the main character actually seemed autistic in the book. And a lot of extra scenes, maybe a video about it it's not that necessary, but I'll take it anytime.
+MrMister681 Charlie seemed autistic to me in the movie too, just less so.
+MrMister681 How things end with him and Sam is different as well and he's closer with his teacher in the book.
i read the book years ago, but didn't it come to light that his aunt sexually abused him and that that's why he was off?
I have to say that when i read Captain America: Winter Soldier, it felt more as an origin story to Bucky than a Captain America story. The movie got a better story for Cap but the comic was more about how Bucky turned into the Winter Soldier
Whats the Difference: Civil War????
I don't want what's the difference civil war, I want mission report: December 16, 1991.
+Jamick98Geass Movie Civil War is basically In name only. Aside from the concept, nothing is shared with the comic.
Everything really. Just like all the Marvel movies major arcs there only in name and semi in plot. For Civil War its has nothing to do with Bucky. It was about how these Z list heros fucked up this city and now the government is pissed now Superheros have to unmask. I could go on but that would take for ever.
It's not in-name only there are plenty of similarities
Jamick98Geass A lot actually. There was no way in hell they would use the comic book storyline for the MCU.
I think I would be in favor of that! ;)
could you do a contrast of CA:CW and the comic itself?
+Albert Ramos What's the difference? The comic sucked and the movie was awesome.
It would make sense as you had lots of differences in the comics vs movie
"So was I" Did you really have to do that?!!
Acually the Human Torch had a cameo in The First Avenger
Elaborate?
+ZOMB135LAY3R His original uniform was seen on display at the festival Steve and Bucky attend at the beginning of the movie. This was more of a nod to the fact that Chris Evans played Human Torch in the original Fantastic Four movies.
please please please do trainspotting!!!! pleeeeeaaase
I enjoyed that movie, but I prefer comics the most
During Winter Soldier, a scene shows Assassination target in Stark Tower AKA Tony Stark.
Um no... that's not what winter soldier means. I guess it was comic that got it wrong and not cinefix but yeah that's not right, the actual definition makes way more sense.
In the version of the comic I have they do go into the actual meaning and how it relates to Bucky in sort of an afterword thing.
+deathknight75 ah, okay
+Geordie Bailey Errr... so what is the meaning?
there was this idea come up at the "Winter Soldier hearings" which I believe were hearings about war crimes in Vietnam. The name is sort of a bastardisation of Paine's idea of the "summer soldiers" and "sunshine patriots." Summer soldiers were soldiers were ones who fought because they had to, they eventually go home. Winter soldiers were always at war, whether it was because war never ended or they couldn't face the end of war.
so the quote '...The thing about war is, I hear it never ends," ties in nicely then. Awesome.
This is a little random, but when I watched the winter soldier I called Alexander Pierce Donald trump and then he turned out to be a villain I was like, I might've just predicted the future (I watched the winter soldier in 2016)
Movie clearly was better than the comic.
LakesideAmusementPro
I disagree
Holy shit, I just picked up The Winter Soldier comic 2 days ago from my library and planned to watch the movie for the first time tomorrow. Trippy.
***** That's exciting to hear. I saw Civil War anyways and loved that, but I look forward to a Marvel movie with less grandeur like Ant Man.
my fave difference is that MCU Cap and Bucky are gay for each other
+Liv MeAlone No, they aren't. Been reading too many slash fics?
+blacktigerpaw1 I don't think Steve/Bucky is happening. It's just a brotherly relationship. But many fans think that they are all gay for each other. I don't care if they call me or you homophobic, it just never seems like it would happen. Even Sebastian himself had an opinion.
Erika Sanchez We'll always be called homophobic, no matter what, so we might as well be chill with it.
I agree❤️
Clearly you've never had a brother.
It's a bummer the Captain America trilogy is over and we never got to see the the Red Skull in action for a second run.
Watched Civil war in theaters yesterday. It was meh
lol youngins they don't understand Good Movies
+King Kunta's COLEworld ikr
Good movies? It was mediocre. I've seen it twice and didn't get better the second time.
Dude that movie was awesome, but that's just your opinion.
I loved civil war
Looks like they did an outstanding job with the material. Many think Winter Soldier is one of the best if not the best Marvel movie.
I'm probably a bit late here but the tesseract has been confirmed not to be the cosmic cube. The tesseract houses the space infinity stone which is why it can be used to create portals and travel through space
You should do one on the Eragon movie vs the book! Should be a pretty lengthy vid
So will you guys ever do a what’s the difference of Civil War? I would love to see that!
The first Human Torch was in the first Captain America movie. He is in a glass tube at the World's Fair.
The Winter Soldier, better than Civil War. PERIOD!
OH PLEASE DO MORE COMIC BOOK RELATED ONES LIKE THIS?! :D The manga/anime ones are cool too, but come on, MORE COMIC BOOK MOVIE ONES PLEASE?! :D
I like how the English national anthem starts at 8:45 in a video about Captain America
You guys should do a ten-part series on either It or The Stand.
The film actually does keep the flying cars. Fury tries to activate flight mode in the SUV when he's attacked, but the flight systems had been damaged.
And because we didn't see any flying cars in the movie, the movie thus didn't have any.
