Coco Chanel famously said about accessories.. 'When you're done getting ready, go to the mirror and take ONE thing off.' that is of course about women's fashion that relies much heavier on bobbles and scarves added on :P. I usually do the 'is there one piece I really want to wear today?' and then build off of that.

Funnily enough I had exactly that quote in mind filming this as I'm aware my thought is basically the opposite haha. I find typically I under-accessorise though (until very recently I've not really worn jewellery or a watch etc.) so that helps balance things out a bit I guess

@@ThisIsAntwon it probably applies to tech wear in that you don't need to have a bag, a holster, and a ton of pockets 🤷. Utility until the point it's no longer utility, right, like when you talk about chains etc 🤔😂

Excellent video Ant! It has reassured me to go for what I feel like and express myself, while keeping my mind open for the endless possiblities. I know it might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I do love the urban ninja aesthetic side of techwear the most and that's what I feel most comfortable with while not being the super edgy, almost cosplay-ish type with straps on straps on straps.

Great vid Ant and timely for me as I'm still trying to find my own style within the tech x street wear world. I think it's important to go with the flow of how your feeling and the clothes will just work. Just picked up the veilance allgn pants which I do quite like. The cut is a bit straighter other pants I own but it'll be interesting to see where they intersect with other non-veilance items.

I've been into goth/punk music/fashion for over 30 years. Over the last year or so I have been creating my own style by combining goth type fashion with a dystopian/post-apocalyptic style. I never knew that 'techwear' existed until very recently when I started shopping for dystopian/post-apocalyptic pieces on Etsy and ran into it on there. I'm not into brand name anything, so I am not attracted to that aspect of techwear. However, what I do like about it is the side of it that easily fits into dystopian territory. I have distressed clothing, sewn patches onto a denim jacket and painted designs on a pleather jacket, so I am experienced at creating DIY projects. I feel that I can very easily fit some techwear pieces into my style. I think blending some techwear into different styles would be quite easy to do and fun! By the way, I think that over-accessorizing outfits can sometimes really sink a look. It takes skill to know when to stop adding things to an outfit.

At this point I just want to find some affordable ($250) techwear pants, man. The problem for me is on the fit, I detest baggy clothing so my aesthetics tend to shift towards the Enfin Levé Amtazu shoeller dryskin's style but those are half a grand. I've looked for months for alternatives and I've gotten nowhere. I'm super frustrated. A lot of people suggest getting regular pants with technical textile aspects and then just having them tailored but I don't have any good Tailors that I can take them too and doing it myself is out of the question.
