i know the feeling John. I "discovered" Todd about 5 years ago at age 55 and couldn't believe I had been missing him all those years! I heard Conservative Christian on the radio (90.5 The Night here in NJ) and my life was forever changed. Now I am a fucking working musician. I wasn't until I heard Todd. I watched his videos nd said I WANT TO DO THAT!!! and have been busting my ass practicing picking and grinning and telling stories at open mics and for anyone who will hire me ever since. He is my favorite contemporary songwriter, hands down. He's the best.
I lived on 19th and Lovejoy in Northwest Portland I spent time in the Tillamook Forest camp in Tillamook in 1979... Yeah I don't want to go back and I have never been back...
