- Kelsang's faith in Yun's Avatarhood begins to waiver after Kyoshi recites a poem he found eerily familiar. Then later during gifting duty, Kyoshi finds that Kelsang isn't the only one as Yun confides his real thoughts about his meeting with Tagaka.

I think it was better that way instead of Kurik stealing a married woman. Kelsong did the right thing, & he was right about Kurik being selfish, but the next Avatar, in a way, got the girl in the way of her daughter.... I guess it kinda explains things. Paraphrasing: "Keyshi chose her because she was familiar." & In a way Aang would be the same when Katra wore the Painted lady make up. It was the same as Rangi's (who was inspired by the folklore).

Kyoshi and Kuruk are not related only she is the new Avatar. Also Hei-Ran was never Kuruks lover, they were friends and he had feelings for her.
Rangi and Kyoshi have a real relationship, and you can not in any way compare that!!

This is a meme quote joking about how Kyoshi fell in love with Rangi and Rangi is the daughter of who Kuruk was in love with. In fact, this meme quote is from the same people making this video you are watching. I was quoting their meme.

Great chapter! The backstory of Yun being chosen as the avatar is very well told. The Idea that some Avatars can remember certain things from there previous lives is really interesting.

So good, as someone who hasn't read the original book, this has been amazing experience. I am also loving the VA's they fit the characters so well especially Kyoshi she sounds just like the Kyoshi from the original series, would sound in her younger days.
This is the best chapter so far. Can’t wait for the next one. Though I’m dredging when things start going downhill for them. 😭😭😭😭
I believe Yun might be Kuruk's son. He likely got drunk after losing Umi and had a 1 night stand with Yun's mother,she possibly could have stolen his journal about his Pai Sho techniques and taught it to their son. Plus they say Yun has Kuruk's smile,that could be a genetic trait
That'll will make Kuruk's entire story even more tragic.

My gf and I love the story of Kyosh she was my kyoshi and im her Rangi. We read 2 books the rise and the shadow. We always wait for the animations of the book. Until she can't wait for this episode anymore. She's gone its been almost 3 weeks now. We watch together the other episodes but this episode im all alone.

Just for the record: I think Kelsong did the right thing 20 years before with Kurik and destroying the poem. That woman was already married, & happy. Kurik 's love profession would have left more than 1 hurt.
Indeed. He may have ruined a marriage and probably stopped Rangi from being born if she wasn't conceived yet with his selfish love display. An unwise move, Kelsang did the right the thing compared to the alternative.

Wow this is great. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Some of the chapters were pretty descriptive and harder to imagine while reading. Kudos to you guys for being able to put it into a visual form for those who have read the books to understand better what was going on. Although it would have been nice for all videos to be finished before beginning the uploading and sharing so that we get the full story, I'm hoping you guys choose to continue your videos!

I can see why Zaheer or Unalaq thought that having an Avatar was a bad idea. The world became so dependent on the actions of one person that when the Avatar was gone for only 7 years, the world began to fall apart. It's like if Superman left Metropolis for just a day.
