When you tell your testimony, you are talking about yourself. This is just how it is. People can argue with doctrine, they can't argue with testimony... Though you managed to demonise a man who has done a lot for the church. Disappointing.
randall Smith funny you should say that, but I was independent and very anti the SDA church, and it was my talk with David Gates at one of his meetings that convinced me to join the mainstream church. He said, while there are bad things in the church, while ever he can agree with the fundimental doctrines of the church, he will stay. That made sense to me, and I joined the SDA church. He is not pushing people away. If it wasn't for his advice I would still be violently opposed to the SDA church and calling it apostate. He actually quoted that EGW quote in his sermon, which made me talk to him.
randall Smith To trust in God. There are thousands of pastors teaching the basics of the gospel. David Gates teaches that too, however, his focus is having real faith in God that he can do what he says is incredibly vital. It is also sadly lacking from most Christians. No one is ever supposed learn everything from one pastor. I don't learn the gospel from CMI pastors either (creation.com), but I learnt the bible wasn't a bunch of fairy tales for adults. I don't believe everything Tim Jennings says, but I believe he makes a good point about "a designer" Vs "a dictator" view of God. I could list hundreds of pastors I like, but don't take their preaching as all I need to know. Besides, 99.9999% of my biblical knowledge comes from personal study. These days, I believe pastors are there to encourage, and inspire and build trust in inspiration, so we can figure stuff out for ourselves. Anyone who follows a pastor blindly is guaranteed to fail. Forbid them not, he who isn't against me, is for me. We need to stop killing our own, because their way is a little outside what we deem comfortable.

My brother, I read through all your comments, and while I am not exactly sure what you have something against Brother David Gates, your comments are quite negative and mean spirited. Those are the very things you are complaining about, but you're doing them. I follow my Lord, my King Jesus every day, and I search the Scriptures to see if what others say are so. I've never experienced anything like you speak of in regards to David Gates. Instead of going through and making a comment on every person's supportive post, perhaps you'd do better to dedicate your time in a more positive direction, like your own youtube channel sharing what you've learned and experienced? You don't know me, or anything about me, so I'd appreciate you not making judgments about me and "what is going on in my head" according to your comment. Because GC is greedy when it comes to tithes. All must go to them. Any member is accountable to God for continuing to feed a system NOT doing God's work. While those really doing the work are left without funds, causing them to beg to continue God's cause.
Randall Smith, not sure which bible you have been reading? Every bible I have read I see Jesus denouncing the Pharisees and Sadducees, the then equivalent to the GC. Ellen G White also called out the wrongdoings within the conference. Sorry Randall, if you do not call out wrong actions, then you are indirectly supporting wrong actions. i haven't given tithe to the confetence since the SDA church sued Raphael Perez over using the SDA name in his ministry. Our tithes went to sue another bretheren in a secular court where we are counseled not to do. I support my local church primarily our children's ministry and support independent ministries. May God continue to lead and protect His cause through you brother David

They're not of God . remember John the Baptist, he didn't need the approval of the sanhedrin leaders to do God's work and he did a marvelous work for God. the general conference represents the modern sanhedrin. The apostles came up to Jesus and told him they had stopped someone not from their group from casting demons out in his name Mark 9:38. And Jesus said if he is not against me he is for me. So Jesus was for independent ministries which is obvious if the gospel is to go out to the whole world. The SDA church Sided with the Nazis in Germany so they could survive. I have no doubt the SDA church in the last days will promote the mark of the beast for the same reason. Eve changed 3 words of the word of God and she fell. The SDA church is casting off So many of Jesus' words that it has no ground to stand on(in fact they are carrying out the fall from the garden in our churches, changing the word of God, believing Satan's lies, and making women leaders and casting down men).
What is even more interesting about that bible passage is that Jesus didn't start name calling and criticizing the apostles like most people are doing now about the conference. ANYONE who demonstrates a spirit of hatred is of their father the devil. The behavior of the church is very discouraging. I don't see people from the conference every week, I see the church members. Unfortunately, the actions and attitudes of MOST of the members are far more impacting than that of the conference people. What a shame!

New to the Adventist faith I must ask, why are so many members concerned about the words of Sister White? The Word of God should alone be enough. In it we find all we need. I think Sis White was an inspired author. I do like her work. But when the church and its' members make so much ado about her then Adventists are no better than JW who look to the watchtower or LDS who look to Joseph Smith. Should we not stand wholly on the word of God? I really don't understand.

I was working with David Gates and my friends on several different projects. I came to the conclusion that there are many serious problems in his methods. For example, promising us 2 million euro for one project before even the board is formed so that the wrong people were fighting to get in the board, and then the money of course never came, because of they never existed... Many times he speaks without knowing what his words will cause in people. And then he said: No I didn't promise any money... I have also many others bitter disappointments in our ministries. Even unlawful acts... it is questionable,dubious and unacceptable that pastor Gates did not learn of the significance of Ted Wilson being a participant of the Vatican Ecumenical council in Moscow which truly exposes Ted's real motive and character. Many of us failed to heed the warning from sister White that our leader is no longer the voice of God. Can we work with the evil and the scripture says clearly we can serve either God or mammoth. Because we are timid and indecisive the conference can deepen into apostasy. God only want people who can stand alone on the words and words only.

randall Smith funny you should say that, but I was independent and very anti the SDA church, and it was my talk with David Gates at one of his meetings that convinced me to join the mainstream church. He said, while there are bad things in the church, while ever he can agree with the fundimental doctrines of the church, he will stay. That made sense to me, and I joined the SDA church.
He is not pushing people away. If it wasn't for his advice I would still be violently opposed to the SDA church and calling it apostate.

Those are the very things you are complaining about, but you're doing them. I follow my Lord, my King Jesus every day, and I search the Scriptures to see if what others say are so. I've never experienced anything like you speak of in regards to David Gates. Instead of going through and making a comment on every person's supportive post, perhaps you'd do better to dedicate your time in a more positive direction, like your own youtube channel sharing what you've learned and experienced? as far as I know it is a self supporting ministry. But the GC is still against it.
Because GC is greedy when it comes to tithes. All must go to them. Any member is accountable to God for continuing to feed a system NOT doing God's work. While those really doing the work are left without funds, causing them to beg to continue God's cause.

i haven't given tithe to the confetence since the SDA church sued Raphael Perez over using the SDA name in his ministry. Our tithes went to sue another bretheren in a secular court where we are counseled not to do. I support my local church primarily our children's ministry and support independent ministries. The apostles came up to Jesus and told him they had stopped someone not from their group from casting demons out in his name Mark 9:38. And Jesus said if he is not against me he is for me. So Jesus was for independent ministries which is obvious if the gospel is to go out to the whole world. The SDA church Sided with the Nazis in Germany so they could survive. I have no doubt the SDA church in the last days will promote the mark of the beast for the same reason. Eve changed 3 words of the word of God and she fell. The SDA church is casting off So many of Jesus' words that it has no ground to stand on(in fact they are carrying out the fall from the garden in our churches, changing the word of God, believing Satan's lies, and making women leaders and casting down men).
What is even more interesting about that bible passage is that Jesus didn't start name calling and criticizing the apostles like most people are doing now about the conference. ANYONE who demonstrates a spirit of hatred is of their father the devil. The behavior of the church is very discouraging. I don't see people from the conference every week, I see the church members. Unfortunately, the actions and attitudes of MOST of the members are far more impacting than that of the conference people. What a shame!

New to the Adventist faith I must ask, why are so many members concerned about the words of Sister White? The Word of God should alone be enough. In it we find all we need. I think Sis White was an inspired author. I do like her work. But when the church and its' members make so much ado about her then Adventists are no better than JW who look to the watchtower or LDS who look to Joseph Smith. Should we not stand wholly on the word of God? I really don't understand.

I was working with David Gates and my friends on several different projects. I came to the conclusion that there are many serious problems in his methods. For example, promising us 2 million euro for one project before even the board is formed so that the wrong people were fighting to get in the board, and then the money of course never came, because of they never existed... Many times he speaks without knowing what his words will cause in people. And then he said: No I didn't promise any money... I have also many others bitter disappointments in our ministries. Even unlawful acts... If I make a video to blame him it can go hours, but we decided not to expose him, but perhaps if he is fighting against the church there might come a moment that people need to know. There are people who speak good, but behind the scene, they are not as they appear to be! We really believed in him, we supported him, and we wanted all to be true, but there are many ministries that he has failed with his actions and words, and mostly attitude. And no, he is not humble. He has more televisions and influence than all conservative media altogether. And if he wants to get rid of someone, he knows how! Don't be fools!
This is the reason we will be forced to work in "the wilderness". ONE shall not die to save the entire structure! We cannot compromise into apostacy. Truth will stand, but there will be but a few who continue to preach it.

Whatever may have been their former position, their present course tends to unsettle the faith of God's people. Such counselors are prompted by Satan. They are time-servers. If I were you, I would not have a 'back and forth' communication with Wilson. He is a religious fraud.

I still remember the time I called on Pr. Gates to repent for something bad he did, and his only response was that he has a huge ministry and many orphanages etc. It was unbelievable that he basically used the same tactics as the pope to justify his wicked course.
Having said that, Pr. Gates does do a lot of good. We need to pray he will humble himself before God, repent, and go forth mightily to spread the 3 Angels' Messages.

it is questionable,dubious and unacceptable that pastor Gates did not learn of the significance of Ted Wilson being a participant of the Vatican Ecumenical council in Moscow which truly exposes Ted's real motive and character. Many of us failed to heed the warning from sister White that our leader is no longer the voice of God. Can we work with the evil and the scripture says clearly we can serve either God or mammoth. Because we are timid and indecisive the conference can deepen into apostasy. God only want people who can stand alone on the words and words only.
How did we end up like this?... Sincere people who are serving to the bleeding must be supported. We are becoming like a Political Organization.
May God strengthen this man of God and help Ted Wilson to keep his integrity and not give in to the pressures of the wicked.
Pr. Gates, we will continue to pray for you. Satan will continue to use all kinds of tactics to discourage and distract; that is a sure sign that you are doing God's work. If there is one ministry that I would desire to support always it is yours. God has shown His support in so many ways for your ministry that I find it difficult to understand how anyone could say otherwise. Hold fast, Brother! Each soul is more than worth it. A very humble Christlike man. Does this not demonstrate how Jesuits are wreaking havoc in mainstream Adventism? Why would genuine God fearing men even desire to destroy such brilliant work that is saving countless souls and helping in preparing them for Jesus? The answer is self evident. If Mrs White was alive they would chuck her out for giving Tythe to Self supporting ministry. Remember Galatians 6:7 !

I have known you and your wife since college, and know you have a heart for missions, and was even inspired by you and your wife to go to Peru for 9 months in 1984. I know that throughout your life you have been led by God, and are committed to the beliefs and mission of the SDA church. Sounds to me like you are sharing in the sufferings of Jesus. I will keep you in my prayers. Sounds to me like jealousy, just like the leaders in Christ's day were jealous of Him.
