Louis Vuitton knows how many “Elite” customers they have and how many influencers they are going to gift. They should have at least made double those numbers. Personally I feel the prices for this collection are ridiculous, but it does irritate me that LV is more than willing to take my money other times but I’m not included for this collection. I also understand exclusivity but if that’s the case why the huge campaign?
The questionable design on the shopping bag has me laughing so hard! Your bag is SO cute and I love the interior has a color! The event looked so lovely, how nice to give out flowers. I didn't understand this launch at all I bought a lot last year and wasn't able to preorder anything. Both of my SA's were kind and got back to me launch day they tried and I thanked them of course it isn't their fault and they had to be overwhelmed, but this was a mess! I was super excited for the cherries but not anymore. Huge congrats on your bag!!!
I’m shocked that your SAs couldn’t preorder for you! That’s absurd! The whole process was such a mess. Some high spenders were turned away while other high spenders were allowed to preorder early. 🤔🤔🤔
I’m happy for you that you were able to snag a Murakami 20th anniversary bag. I attempted to pre-order from three different stores in the Boston area in December and was turned away since I wasn’t a VIC. Mind you I have a collection of 40+ LV handbags acquired over 15+ years so from my view I’m at least a loyal customer. I visited my local LV store on the day of the release, was second in line, and did not see a Murakami bag on a display shelf, no Murakami celebration signage, nothing close to what I have seen on You Tube for ‘flagship’ stores. I was told that there were no Murakami bags for purchase in the store. Myself and a few others walked away disappointed. I gave my CA my wishlist and both of us attempted to order online and were not successful. Since this launch I have been pondering why we as women are accepting of customer relation issues, such as, supply chain issues, website ordering errors, packaging inconsistencies, pre-order exclusiveness, store location product availability, etc. Would men be just as accepting of poor customer service and product quality issues? I think not and as a result would Louis Vuitton treat them better? I can’t believe that LVMH with the sophisticated analytics and supply chain capabilities provides such customer experience inconsistencies for a luxury brand. LV won’t do better until we demand such through redirecting our purchasing power and impacting their bottom line. I did write an email to the President and CEO of Louis Vuitton Americas (who happens to be a woman) detailing my experience and disappointment in the Louis Vuitton x Murakami launch.
Why is everyone acting like if you didn't get anything on launch day, there will be no chance a month from now to get a piece? It seems like there is still plenty of time for LV to produce more pieces for people that truly want them over the coming months. Isn't the whole pre-order process mainly just hype to fuel FOMO? If LV is really focused on sales, I'm sure they'll be producing more pieces in the weeks/months to come.
I heard there will be a restock on January 10, but no word yet on how much will be included. Hopefully it will be a lot. I think part of the issue is that customers were unable to order and turned away, or worse ignored.
I live in Missouri and a low volume buyer. I did travel to Cali once with daughter and bought her an Ivy WOC. I reached out to that SA on Rodeo drive and she hooked me up with the Rosalie Coin Purse on launch day ! I was shocked 😅. Should be here Thursday.
Ooh I love your speedy 20 it’s very nice!! I couldn’t get an order to go through for hours and hours. It kept timing out. So, I gave up. And now I’m going with plan B - I’ll wait and see if I can get a cherry blossom bag when I’m in Japan this spring.

I've honestly not heard anything positive about the ordering/purchasing experience for this collection and I think you're so right about it alienating those prospective new & returning customers. It's not like LV doesn't have the resources to ensure a smooth launch! 💁🏼♀️
Just wanted to share my experience! I preordered online through customer service in Kuala Lumpur, and the payment process was super seamless. I successfully made the payment, but the order status still says "Pending Order Validation" - fingers crossed it gets confirmed soon! 😅 On the second day of the launch, I also walked into one of the LV stores (the SA had contacted me earlier) and was so happy to snag the multicolor bandeau in noir! 😍
Glad you were able to get this bag but the launch did sound very messy! I wasn’t interested in adding a piece from this collection but the stories make me wary of future big LV launches.
Super cute! 💕 I went in store on launch day and the super flat really impressed me. Much prettier in person. I didn’t get anything from the collection as most items were display only. They only had card holders or notebook covers available for purchase by the time I went in. Happy I got to see the pochette accessoires in person. It appears to be the OG PA size from when the collection was first out and not the current PA size which is bigger. One CA I chatted with told me that they will put more stock out. Just keep an eye out. The website was glitchy. You couldn’t even buy non-murakami pieces online during launch day.
That bag looks so nice for your coloring. I love the 20 size and the flowers are so cute. My SA ordered me a bag online in store on launch day. We will see if it comes. I am not stressing it. Congrats! Love the speedy. Like you the pre oredering process which was actually done for me at the very end of December was a tension filled process. I'm lucky though because my sweetheart of a CA offered me my speedy 25 and Romy cardholder. Sadly for my store there was no launch event as they were not even given packaging or window displays. I feel really bad for the CAs as they had to deal with very angry and frustrated customers during this launch.
The original lining from the first collection is super soft so I wonder if it’s because of that. The speedy 20 is so cute! I’m a huge fan of the speedy 20 lol. The ordering process was a mess. I was able to order online but it took hours
What can I say this Murakami launch was a MESS but are we surprised? I went to the store and stood in line only to find out most of the items available were rejected by VIC’s. I purchased the SIDE TRUNK in Murakami, white multicolor sneakers, and black multicolor satin scarf. I purchased three items from three separate stores. CA’s tried to convince me to order but I refuse to have my money sit. I want the white the speedy 25 and the black 30 but I think I already went over budget. 💜

I think you’re right, LV left a LOT of money on the table by botching this launch. Maybe they thought that limiting availability would make the brand more desirable, but speaking for myself, hearing how difficult it was going to be to get a bag I didn’t even try to pre-order, where otherwise I would have. And now I’m reconsidering whether I want to support a brand that is so disorganized and won’t reward non-VIC customer loyalty.

Can anyone tell me what country or specific region the White Multicolor Micro Pochette Bag Charm was released in please. It wasnt released here in the UK or EU for some strange reason. Love that SuperFlat Speedy 😍
Hi Geoff! I am not sure about every region, but I know that piece was shown on the US website. I was really frustrated that so many pieces were country-specific. A shawl I wanted wasn’t available in the U.S., but it was in Europe. 😔
You could not order anything from website except for some overpriced “dad” sandals. Error messages did appear when you tried to check out. I’m not overly unhappy given on the vintage pieces the designs rub off. I assume the same will happen to the new designs over time with regular use of the Murakami pieces.
They did me a favor by not allowing me to check out because I did not need to spend the money anyway so when I could not check out, I took that as a sign to keep the Chanel bag I had bought just recently for Christmas, but I will belooking out for the cherry blossom drop
I am able to get pochette accessoire, Marellini, Rosalie wallet from Asia on the website today. I think this is only a hype in the US. I believe they will restock in the US.
Hi ! Ordering on line was ridiculous to say the least....I kept getting error messages over and over again...when I was able to add something to my cart, it told me I could only have (2) items in my cart, I'd look at my cart again, and it showed nothing in the cart. I called LV and I was told that my wait time was 40 minutes...I waited and waited and I'm not kidding you when I say that at the 36 minute mark, a recording came on saying customer service could not take care of now, try later...UGGGH ! Needless to say, I ended up with nothing.

🎉congrats on your bag! I was able to place two orders online at 12:49pm CST the Multicolore notebook cover. Then the multicolore notebook about 9 minutes after. Each time refreshing. Those were the two items I wanted. In the morning i was getting the errors or only after in cart couldn't get past the shipping. I do have a digital stylist. At first was going to get on pre-order. Then she reached out the night before and said would be best for me to try online myself. As of now my order is pending. I have the confirmation number. So hopefully my order will go through. My pre orders do have the packaging so it’s not only for influencers. I don’t think I’m a VIC but I got to make pre orders via my LV SA who is just great. So maybe depends on the country and your relationship with your SA. The SA warned me not to wait for the launch as he felt stock would be limited. Turned out to be true.
I cancelled my order after waiting 8 days.. I am offended by how LV treated their long term customers like myself. We waited and waited but the influencers were given bags for free and have a nicer packaging. Been buying LV for 30 yrs.
Congrats on the beautiful, uplifting bag! Apparently - I wasn't proactive enough - This is the SAME item that I would have purchased, had I been given the opportunity to do so on Friday - 1/3/25. I was able to snag a keychain (last minute) & bracelet with the help from a Sales Associate. I don't have much experience w/ LV shopping. Therefore, I was late to the game & missed out.

I bought a pair of sneakers. the launch was chaotic, the only reason i got my item was i went into store the day after to try and see what was going on with my in store pickup order. like my order had not made it into the stores system. i would have loved one of the white MC speedys but that wasn't going to happen. i would have eventually bought both white MC speedys if the collection was going to be around the entire year.

I am so pissed. I tried putting in an order, tried online and went in store and nothing. Was such a mess and I'm so disappointed. Guess just saved me money. Was a joke and I didn't want anything else from this collection and rethinking purchasing LV.
I've got the same bag!! I just love this floral pattern much better than the white and black multicolor ones, I suspect that most people will go for the multicolor and I don't want to see so many people wearing the same bag as I do on the streets! 😅 you know what I mean.... I was able to order the bag thru my CA with no problem back in early Dec., I'm definitely not a VVIC and I'm not sure if I'm even a VIC, but my CA and I have a good relationship (she worked hard to find me the Millesime speedy two years ago!) I live in HK. I haven't heard any frustrating stories about pre-ordering in my city, although when I went to pick up my bag my CA told me it was quite chaotic on launch day, all the Murakami merchandises they had were gone except for the displayed ones which they're not allowed to sell, and I heard that it will take up to months to get the merch when other customers were just ordering on the spot. I’m soooo happy you got the bag you wanted, absolutely love it 💝🌸 I have the perfume I wanted with the Superflat flowers Attrape Reves on its way from my SA, they have to wait for it to come in tomorrow. I tried online before contacting my SA because I knew she’d be inundated and I had a “place in cart” button but then it errored out so I gave up and waited a few days to contact my SA. I wasn’t after a handbag thank goodness. Huge missed opportunity by LV they went way full on with the Kusama launch that didn’t sell out and maybe that impacted how they launched Murakami? Not sure but they should have known this would be their biggest launch in history. Luckily they are restocking the multicolor, I talked to an SA near me and my usual SA. It didn’t make me not want to purchase because all I collect is Murakami but other people I’ve seen majorly upset. I love how you had a good experience in store, I’ll probably go this weekend to see it in person, I’m in a wheelchair most of my day so it’s not so easy for me to go in store. 🥰

I did prepay but the orders were not secured till the launch day. My SA told me that they all have to arrive the store very early morning on the launch day to place orders for their clients. And most items were already sold out to the vic 😢. I think they have tried their very best to fulfil our request. Just think about the pressure that is placed on them 😢 I hope LV will restock 🙂
I called LV on Friday and was waiting on hold for over 40 min only for a message to say there was an issue and I was hung up on. This happened twice. I had no idea until Sunday that the launch for that collection happened Friday. So I finally spoke to someone about something else on the phone on Sunday. What a mess.
I don't feel the launch was any different than any other hyped up launch. I got everything I wanted with no issue. There are previous launches that I took too long to decide and missed out and had to wait but eventually got the item. Items are always limited. So customers should keep that in mind 😊
I was looking forward to getting into LV although I’m a Chanel girl, as soon as I heard giving to influencers, big turnoff, no thanks, but your bag is nice

As someone not fabulously wealthy or an “influencer”, but someone who has to work (and hard) for her money: my dollars are just as good as theirs. In fact, probably more so, since I save and “go without” avocado toast and such to treat myself to a luxury bag. LV should keep that in mind.

You're rubbing salt in the wound when you share the cocktail reception at the store. I can't even get my CA to respond to my requests. She used to be so good to me; now she's a huge disappointment as is the LV line.
I’m sorry! That wasn’t my intention - I was just trying to end on a positive note. My usual SA ghosted me as well during the preorder window, so I can understand your frustration. I got lucky that another SA was able to pull this bag for me when the store received their shipment. The way this launch was handled was very disappointing.
Adorable! I am in NJ too and usually go to KOP but am wondering if i would be happier elsewhere. My SA was pretty good at getting back to me so hopefully the ones i was able to order have no snags😀
Personally I’ve always had a good experience at KOP, but it can definitely vary depending on who your SA is. I hope you get all your pieces soon and they’re perfect! 💖

At this point I’m completely turned off by LV and won’t be buying anything from them anytime soon. My biggest gripe is the lying and ignoring, completely unprofessional. I couldn’t even attempt to add to cart due to the chaos on the website.
Everything you mentioned was right but my own personal opinion is that LV can only produce so much at a time if this collection is high in demand than its gonna be hard to fill every single order! I love your bag choice thats a beautiful bag! I do own a wallet and the black speedy from the previous collection its my favorite handbag!

A disaster! I hated it and feel it was discriminatory sales practices. I recently came back this year to LV but after the experience I am heading over to Hermes.
I’m disappointed in LV too. I’m a very long-term client, and I wasn’t able to secure anything. I can understand offering their VIP clients first dibs, but that’s it. IMO, should be first come, first serve after that. Yes, I had trouble on the website. I had a couple items, but website was glitchy. LV screwed up! My CA of 9 years blew me off…. I’m done with him now. I’ve been an LV customer for over 25 years. I’ve had a very good experience at Hermès….. so far! Your bag is really cute, btw! TFS. Happy New Year 🎉

Yeah, the influencer PR unboxings were totally unnecessary since LV couldn’t even fulfill all the orders.

Congrats! Love the speedy. Like you the pre oredering process which was actually done for me at the very end of December was a tension filled process. I'm lucky though because my sweetheart of a CA offered me my speedy 25 and Romy cardholder. Sadly for my store there was no launch event as they were not even given packaging or window displays. I feel really bad for the CAs as they had to deal with very angry and frustrated customers during this launch.

What can I say this Murakami launch was a MESS but are we surprised? I went to the store and stood in line only to find out most of the items available were rejected by VIC’s. I purchased the SIDE TRUNK in Murakami, white multicolor sneakers, and black multicolor satin scarf. I purchased three items from three separate stores. CA’s tried to convince me to order but I refuse to have my money sit. I want the white the speedy 25 and the black 30 but I think I already went over budget. 💜

I think you’re right, LV left a LOT of money on the table by botching this launch. Maybe they thought that limiting availability would make the brand more desirable, but speaking for myself, hearing how difficult it was going to be to get a bag I didn’t even try to pre-order, where otherwise I would have. And now I’m reconsidering whether I want to support a brand that is so disorganized and won’t reward non-VIC customer loyalty.

Hi Geoff! I am not sure about every region, but I know that piece was shown on the US website. I was really frustrated that so many pieces were country-specific. A shawl I wanted wasn’t available in the U.S., but it was in Europe. 😔

You could not order anything from website except for some overpriced “dad” sandals. Error messages did appear when you tried to check out. I’m not overly unhappy given on the vintage pieces the designs rub off. I assume the same will happen to the new designs over time with regular use of the Murakami pieces.

I am able to get pochette accessoire, Marellini, Rosalie wallet from Asia on the website today. I think this is only a hype in the US. I believe they will restock in the US.
Hi ! Ordering on line was ridiculous to say the least....I kept getting error messages over and over again...when I was able to add something to my cart, it told me I could only have (2) items in my cart, I'd look at my cart again, and it showed nothing in the cart. I called LV and I was told that my wait time was 40 minutes...I waited and waited and I'm not kidding you when I say that at the 36 minute mark, a recording came on saying customer service could not take care of now, try later...UGGGH ! Needless to say, I ended up with nothing.

🎉congrats on your bag! I was able to place two orders online at 12:49pm CST the Multicolore notebook cover. Then the multicolore notebook about 9 minutes after. Each time refreshing. Those were the two items I wanted.
In the morning i was getting the errors or only after in cart couldn't get past the shipping.
I do have a digital stylist. At first was going to get on pre-order. Then she reached out the night before and said would be best for me to try online myself.
As of now my order is pending. I have the confirmation number. So hopefully my order will go through. Im so excited for the 🍒 collection! Would love in the speedy!

My pre orders do have the packaging so it’s not only for influencers. I don’t think I’m a VIC but I got to make pre orders via my LV SA who is just great. So maybe depends on the country and your relationship with your SA. The SA warned me not to wait for the launch as he felt stock would be limited. Turned out to be true.

I cancelled my order after waiting 8 days.. I am offended by how LV treated their long term customers like myself. We waited and waited but the influencers were given bags for free and have a nicer packaging. Been buying LV for 30 yrs.

I was able to snag a keychain (last minute) & bracelet with the help from a Sales Associate. I don't have much experience w/ LV shopping. Therefore, I was late to the game & missed out.

the launch was chaotic, the only reason i got my item was i went into store the day after to try and see what was going on with my in store pickup order. like my order had not made it into the stores system. i would have loved one of the white MC speedys but that wasn't going to happen. i would have eventually bought both white MC speedys if the collection was going to be around the entire year.

I was able to order the bag thru my CA with no problem back in early Dec., I'm definitely not a VVIC and I'm not sure if I'm even a VIC, but my CA and I have a good relationship (she worked hard to find me the Millesime speedy two years ago!)
I live in HK. I haven't heard any frustrating stories about pre-ordering in my city, although when I went to pick up my bag my CA told me it was quite chaotic on launch day, all the Murakami merchandises they had were gone except for the displayed ones which they're not allowed to sell, and I heard that it will take up to months to get the merch when other customers were just ordering on the spot. I’m soooo happy you got the bag you wanted, absolutely love it 💝🌸 I have the perfume I wanted with the Superflat flowers Attrape Reves on its way from my SA, they have to wait for it to come in tomorrow. I tried online before contacting my SA because I knew she’d be inundated and I had a “place in cart” button but then it errored out so I gave up and waited a few days to contact my SA. I wasn’t after a handbag thank goodness. Huge missed opportunity by LV they went way full on with the Kusama launch that didn’t sell out and maybe that impacted how they launched Murakami? Not sure but they should have known this would be their biggest launch in history. Luckily they are restocking the multicolor, I talked to an SA near me and my usual SA. It didn’t make me not want to purchase because all I collect is Murakami but other people I’ve seen majorly upset. I love how you had a good experience in store, I’ll probably go this weekend to see it in person, I’m in a wheelchair most of my day so it’s not so easy for me to go in store. 🥰

I did prepay but the orders were not secured till the launch day. My SA told me that they all have to arrive the store very early morning on the launch day to place orders for their clients. And most items were already sold out to the vic 😢. I think they have tried their very best to fulfil our request. Just think about the pressure that is placed on them 😢 I hope LV will restock 🙂

I called LV on Friday and was waiting on hold for over 40 min only for a message to say there was an issue and I was hung up on. This happened twice. I had no idea until Sunday that the launch for that collection happened Friday. So I finally spoke to someone about something else on the phone on Sunday. What a mess.

I don't feel the launch was any different than any other hyped up launch. I got everything I wanted with no issue. There are previous launches that I took too long to decide and missed out and had to wait but eventually got the item. Items are always limited. So customers should keep that in mind 😊

I’m sorry! That wasn’t my intention - I was just trying to end on a positive note. My usual SA ghosted me as well during the preorder window, so I can understand your frustration. I got lucky that another SA was able to pull this bag for me when the store received their shipment. The way this launch was handled was very disappointing.
