What percentage of the ministry of housing budget was spent on this government house project? This doesn’t make sense. I can understand if I see more housing infrastructure for schools, healthcare, etc. The investment here dwarfs those, and it shouldn't be that way. In the U.S., government buildings are very basic. I have lived in California, the 5th largest economy in the world, for over 30 years. Sacramento is the capital of California and is the most basic town. I commend Soludo for the theme park as well as the mall. They add economic value. Nothing here has economic value. I have nothing against housing your government properly - the construction looks decent. It is a well executed project. However, can we imagine the impact of such an investment in an income generating sector? The governor spoke about a pharmaceutical hub. It is not even 10 percent in progress. Onitsha needs urban renewal in the markets. A well constructed market in Onitsha or Nnewi will have measurable impact in revenues. This money could have been used to develop the foundations for a new city and ultimately bring in investors. Anyway, I rather have this project than the abandoned state it was in with threat of erosion. Also, I commend Soludo's government for including housing for government staff. Having them in the same locality will make government more efficient. In the long-run it is a good investment. I want to see this same vigor in the pharmaceutical hub and industrial city projects.
Oga, we are not in America. This is nigeria. Learn to appreciate good things, if soludo decide to divert the fund used in developing this government house to himself, heaven will not fall. Are you aware that this government house was started about 30years ago and today we found a governor who put positive energy to get it completed and yet you found him Worthy of criticism. Please oga wait for your turn, when you become a governor you can do it American way inugo.
@yangalife thanks for this special Xmas gift. This massive Estate is one in a million of executive mansions in the world with more spaces left for future expansion of needed facilities. The importance of this edifice to a state that is lacking world class infrastructural development can't never be quantified or debated as been a misplaced priority by any government. The edifice which belongs to the people is a symbolic statement of what the state is and where it's aspirations are heading.Any future project standard must be measured using this standard or a higher one to benchmark the administration's performance. The Anambra state of our dreams deserves the very best of everything. Merry Xmas and a prosperous new year to all.
An excessive number of concrete walls give the area the appearance of a prison yard. We can utilize flowers instead of too many walls. It will improve the ecosystem and make the surroundings more aesthetically pleasing with green and serene environments. Great job, and congratulations to ANSG for this amazing structure.
I have complained and protested about the erection of these internal high fences........even if a fence is to be erected , why not put up fancy block dwarf fences !! Our architects are just uncreative.............These internal high walls are negatives and a minus for the project!
