And so are hundreds of small businesses like Sulok. We can prevent more casualties during these trying times by supporting neighborhood businesses. :) Sulok Cafe may be gone, but it lives in every small business continuing this battle for survival amidst the pandemic.
@@rodrigoescobar766 miss ko na po yung laing pasta
For closing na po cafe nila. :(
Until July 18 pa naman. :)

I will definitely..!..
boss rod. paturo naman ;) :)
Mgkanu po puhunan ng pag open ng coffee shop..
When we opened Sulok 4 years ago, we had a running spend of around 800k-1M, but then it wasn't enough and were forced to open at around 70% completion. It wasn't until 6-8 months after we opened when we were at full completion. When this episode was shot, the business wasn't at its full capacity yet. Naalala ko nun, 10 lang yung pinggan 12 lang yung baso at wala pang 12 yung pairs ng utensils.
The costs are different now since materials, equipment and labor are far more expensive than it was 4 years ago, so I can't really say how much it costs now.
Saan po yan sa antipolo
Tapat ako ng Ynares Center. :)
San po nkkabili ng machine cappucino any idea
Leny Fabrigas allegro beverage mam
Magkno po ung coffee machine n gingmit nla..any idea pls
The entire set is about 120k. I invested more on the grinder, which is almost at the same price as the espresso machine. :)
Where is this located?
Hi Michael! Malapit ako sa Ynares Center along L. Sumulong Memorial Circle in Antipolo City :)
saan po to banda

Hi there, Rodrigo here. :) Ako yung lalaki sa interview. :)
I just want to know the details kung ano yung inorder mo and how the experience was. I would appreciate if you can give further details to your review. :) Suggestions and comments are really important to us since the business is only 6 months old, and to be honest, there are still a lot of room for improvement.
Hope I could get a feedback. :) Feel free to message us on our Facebook page too if you wish. :)
Ang plastik ng reaksyon ni karen hahahaha
Behind the camera, she finished the food. I guess that's a good sign na nagustuhan talaga niya. :)
Hello! Ako yung lalaki sa video. :)
Sarado na yung cafe-restaurant namin as of July of this year, and I think the reasons are quite obvious. :) But I'll answer your question objectively and from a digital marketing perspective - a field that I believe I am more than credible to speak on. Sabi nga ni Karen Davila at 5:09.
Sulok Cafe, prior to its last day was a 4-year old business, with almost 30k worth of following. Organic reach was measured to hit up to 200k people on a single piece of content with no monetary intervention. Within its area of operations when put side-by-side with other establishments, it had the most number of following, highest klout, and unparalleled digital engagement.
At its peak, it has appeared on all major television channels (ABS-CBN, GMA, TV5, PTV), all major newspapers (Philstar, Manila Bulletin, Inquirer, Manila Standard), and numerous digital media channels which are too many to mention. Now, I'll stop here cause I'll sound even more like I'm flexing Sulok's achievements.
But solely based on what the business has achieved in just a few years in to its operations, I think I was able to answer your question, "sikat na ba?"
The answer to that may be a "yes" for some, but fame is subjective especially in the MSME food industry. What may be "sikat" for me may not be the same from another person's perspective.
Pero ito nalang siguro if anything. Majority of food businesses don't really last more than 2 years. It is a saying among my restauranteur peers na kung umabot ka ng more than 3 years in the industry, it's already applaudable. So I guess reaching 4 years before we closed it down can be considered an achievement.
If it makes you feel any better, Sulok Cafe as a restaurant-cafe was a failure, but a very important one - and it was so fragile that it only survived a few months in to a devastating and business crushing pandemic.
Cheers!
