It’s not just people rolling with the idea that hierarchy equals power…. That’s literally what Vizzie herself stated. Your hierarchy= your power level.
You have to remember we only seen Stolas get fully serious once and that was when he was rescuing the IMP Gang and he was terrifying. The thing with Striker only happened because Striker had something to completely nullify his powers rendering him helpless Al wouldn't have faired any better in that aspect. Plus not sure how useful Al's barrier would be if Stolas can probably just make a portal to get around it. basically Al is strong very much so but seems like you are really underestimating Stolas who has never really had to get serious since the only time anyone was an actual threat to him was when said person used an item to make him powerless. It's like the Sins Bee is a massive party girl who was ust super chill are you going to say Al can beat her as well?
@@tomjanning2710 how would Alaster even hurt Stolas? He can't really be harmed without angelic weapons at least very seriously and those weren't Sinners but hellborn loansharks from Greed so they could be killed
Stolas can just petrifying Alastor, he doesnt even need to kill him Probably why Vivzie has said that it would be an easy win for Stolas. Hes just outright more powerful and has way better abilities than Alastor.
@lf181 Yet Alastor killed overlords before and we are told that a sinner can't be killed, sounds like many writing inconsistencies to me OR in universe loopholes to get around those statements...?
Stolas is part of the Goetia Family and they are above Overlords, so I bet Stolas might beat Alastor since he has a bit more power than Alastor himself. Although Alastor is also pretty strong, but he ended up being defeated by Adam due to his cockiness and only cares about fighting for himself instead of fighting to protect those he cares for. Just like what Carmilla warned Vaggie about.
Stolas is greater than Alastor in both Raw Power and Hierarchy/Political Power. However, Stolas almost got outsmarted/killed by an Imp, so I imagine Alastor could easily subvert Stolas. The only reason he hasn't is because I imagine Alastor doesn't want to deal with the political backlash, where as Striker was fully prepared to.
that’s what i thought, but seeing as he stepped to Adam, it seems he can surpass the power hierarchy, and not be subjected to being on the normal overlord level, all because of his deal.
@pancakes8670 Wrong. All Stolas could do when Striker went to capture him was dodge/run because Striker was shooting at him with an Angelic Gun and he couldn't fight back because there were two Goetia ready to stop him if he did. The only reason Stolas couldn't to escape or fight back once caught was because he was literally tied up with Angelic Rope, which negged his powers. Also, the only reason Striker was able to harm Stolas in the first place was because of Striker's Angelic Weapons.
It’s possible that Alastor took on both Valentino and Vox and was repelled before he was able to kill Vox. Velvette was the newest Vee and as Velvette has no interest in Alestor (despite Velvette being a spiteful and petty person) makes me believe that they have never interacted. Valentino and Vox have been shown in old photographs, so my bet is that the duo was considered the OG Vees and they were at the very least able to survive against Alastor
@@JulioMendoza-up1pv Velvette was the person who got Vox and Valentino to collaborate in the first place though, I'm quite sure. Hence why she's the "backbone of the Vees"
I think Stolas is inherently more powerful, he not only has access to massive amounts of magical and political power from the fact that he is a Goetia, he also has access to vast tomes of knowledge that keys him into all kinds of mysteries and secrets. That being said I would bet on Alastor, not because he is stronger, but because he has more killer instincts. Stolas has consistently been shown to have a kind and gentle heart and is more of a scholar than a fighter, Alastor meanwhile is a ruthless and power hungry killer as well as a very successful schemer, he is patient, devious and disciplined.
This, this is more or less my thoughts on it, Stolas is likely stronger, though not necessarily by a huge margin, but Alastor seems to have more combat experience and is more ruthless, so...could see it going either way, but would be betting on the Radio Demon
I mean one guy lost to an imp with angelic weopons and the other is shown time and again that he is either superior to or not afraid of an ex-angel with an angelic weopon
In stolas case he could ONLY run, the angelic rope would stop his power , and even if he did fight which he could, there were two other goetia that would probably stop him
@@things-z8o Cancelled seems like a bad choice of words there honestly, Overpowered would be more accurate since Adam one punched Alastors Barrier into pieces, and that's just physical strength, with his weapon, and being kind of serious he went on to two shot Alastor into running away. So i think it would be fair to assume Alastor would be powerless if constrained by Angelic Rope as well.
If I recall... Vivziepop did mention in a Q&A that Stolas is stronger than Alastor by LEAGUES. Leagues. Alastor is just a sinner, a powerful one but still a sinner nonetheless. While Stolas is a high demon, Weaker than Ozzie who is "The weakest of the sins".
Ozzie isn't the weakest of the sins. Crimson said that to make him angry, besides, he might just be the softest out of them. If he was that weaker, I highly doubt Mammon would have retreated against him.
That doesn't help mate, doesnt explain any feats with or without the Grimoire, we dont even know if Petrification affects Sinners or other creatures but Hellborn Demons.
My money is on Alastor. Alastor definitely got way more fighting experience and is more of a strategic fighter. Stolas strikes me as someone who never had to fight in his life.
@@jknetwork6211 because he was being shot at by angelic weaponry, not to mention that two other goetia were there to stop him if he tried anything funny.
I think it all comes down to power attitude. There's a sort of hunger for power in Alastor, that leads him to take more chances to join a fight just so he could either become more powerful, or show off the carnage he can do. Stolas, as powerful as he is, isn't a fighter by nature: he's not one to get into conflicts unless someone he cares about is in danger. And even then, his powers rely more on defensive spells or scary apparitions. With this in mind, I think that Alastor is more prone to win thanks to his strategic and power-hungry battle style, even considering the differences between his and Stolas' powers.
Something I’d like to consider, even though it’s dependent on what Stolas is based on instead of actual canon, is that Stolas is an Ars Goetia, which are demons that people that are experienced in magic can control. Alastor is directly tied to voodoo and witchcraft with the symbols that appear around him among other things, so the possibility of him knowing how to control an Ars Goetia is actually pretty high. (If it works the same in the show, that is)
People do this and forget that Demon Royalty upright CANNOT be killed without angelic weaponry, Alastor can wound Stolas, But Stolas will win by default no matter what unless Alastor uses some angelic weaponry. Y'all, My bad I only now caught I goofed, I meant they can't be killed without, Mb lmao
What? No, they literally do. It's the entire plot point of the Harvest Moon episode of HB. Striker got hired by Stella to kill Stolas using a blessed angelic steel rifle. What are you talking about?
I like to look at this as not a battle to the death necessarily, just to defeat, but even then Stolas can only be harmed by angelic weapons whereas Alastor can be harmed, but not killed, by anything.
Stolas was confirmed to more powerful than Alastor Alastor can hang on for a few seconds but gets out classed in magic power strength Alastor only has strategy and area control
@@lozzielozer This is a lame answer though. "ehhh they're ranked higher" if you're not gonna discuss? shut up. the confirmation does still stand, stolas wins, because thats what vizipop confirmed. HOWEVER, if we WERE to ignore this, goetia being ranked higher, and having higher power, is seemingly meaningless, if we have seen zero evidence of this being actually applicable combat power. stolas can teleport and has been seen using telekinesis or something similar, outside of that he has been shown as completely incompetent and incapable of recognizing a danger to himself, and an almost unwillingness to defend himself, only even attempting to do anything more than run away once he was already tied up and brought seemingly dozens of miles into a cavern by nothing more than an imp. the imp had angelic weapons, yes, but killing isn't a win condition here, (demon) magic can't kill either one, it needs to be angelic weapons. as a result, disabling is the win condition, therefore: either alastor attacks stolas relentlessly and is able to take him down or stolas can stone-skin or telekinesis him down. if stolas can't just flat out pin alastor down, I can not see him winning in any sort of back and forth. stolas just assumes himself to be untouchable, meanwhile we have actively seen alastor engage in active combat with a high degree of competency, including against a superior opponent (adam). this superior opponent (who I will assume to be relative to stolas) is an active combatant, routinely practicing during exterminations, and having no qualms about fighting. alastor was still able to land multiple successful hits against him and harass him quite effectively, only losing because of adam managing to land a hit to stun, and then following it up with an angelic weapon strike - which is intended to be lethal, and still does not succeed in its goal. STOLAS on the other hand, did nothing more than dodge a bullet (in theory, he might have just moved when he saw striker, and got lucky) any other combat experience, including trying to help blitzy who was being swarmed, results in nothing more than mild pointless flailing. this isn't a theoretical enraged or bloodthirsty stolas, this is just regular stolas, and I can't see him actually engaging in the fight until he is convinced alastor is trying to genuinely harm him, and even then will probably try to escape more than anything. It's just not stolas' nature to do much fighting, so no, I don't really see him winning a fight with a character with confirmed combat feats against superior foes.
@@werewolfdragon4740creator confirmed Stolas was stronger than Alastor because he is quite literally a demon prince, he has royal blood and with that comes great power. Although it’s true he doesn’t really fight and he only got caught by imp guy was cuz he wasn’t tryna fight him, mostly just tryna escape but if he was mad or smth he definitely wouldn’t have got caught and he wouldn’t have been nullified (meaning he was unable to use his powers cuz of that).
However no one seems to be considering that stolas doesn’t actually know how to fight we so far have not technically seen stolas fight anyone and where alastor lacks in power he makes up for in experience not to mention I think it’s canon that alastor got nerfed by a deal he made sooooo at the core of all this I bet this would end in a draw both are clearly powerful and even if stolas could win through raw power alone alastor could make up any difference in power with his experience in battles and the fact that stolas is inexperienced in actual fighting and the battle will depend on if alastor s at full power or not but even that is tricky because we don’t know how bad he was nerfed but I’m willing to bet alastor was nerfed big time because he literally sings about how he will be pulling all the strings (probably meaning running hell) when he gets his full power back so in the end if alastor and stolas fight right after season 1 of hazbin hotel stolas might win but it will probably be a draw and if both are fighting and at full power it’s would end in a draw or alastor winning depending on how much power he lost in that deal
We also should consider that Alastor used his full strength in his fights through the show while we’ve only seen stolas fight seriously once… against human which didn’t even require him to use his full strength.
Viv was asked this exact question and you can find her response in a video called who is more powerful Alastor or Stolas. Which just animated a section in her stream. But she might not have been including angelic weapons as a factor in her statement. the thing is though I see portal creation as such an op ability in theory he could open a portal to a giant space rock and launch it at Alastor. The question is does he have enough battle iq to do that.
even if that happened, the meteor would likely cast a shadow over alastor, and alastor could just dissolve and teleport into the shadows and escape the meteor and go on fighting.
We do see that stolas uses his power to make hell on Earth, meaning he probably has at least a good idea of his powers and how to properly use them, so yeah. Also what was the answer viv gave!
@@nicodiangelo6788 The meteor would not leave a shadow it would be on fire and glowing. Besides the reason I mentioned the meteor was not because I think it would crush Alastor it was because it can destroy any shield he creates.
Now, I’m on the “Al is weakened by his deal with ___” bench, and that he cannot fully unleash his power as *his* soul isn’t with him, which I believe is how overlords are empowered. Alastor’s transformation in his duet with Vox is what I think Alastor’s full power form looks like, and his full power involves the tentacles, more voodoo, and a bunch of Radio-style tricks like in the pilot.
Great Video. There is also another argument for Alastor being able to survive Stolas's petrification. This depends on if you think the petrified demons are conscious or not. Cause Viv stated that Alastor can shapeshift to the point where he doesn't even have a set shape. And based on what we've seen he isn't using any hand signs or verbal spells to shapeshift. He just consciously wants to change his shape or not. Which would mean that he can theoretically either change back from being turned to stone. But as i said this is based on if he is conscious or not.
The only reason stolas lost to an imp was because stolas wasn’t expecting it. If stolas didn’t underestimate striker striker would have definitely been dead. He pretty much fights like the exorcists with reckless abandon.
Just going on something I assume rather than definitely proven but I feel that, unless Alastor gets his hands on some angelic armaments, Stolas would take the win rather easily, on the sole basis of how their invulnerability/regeneration seem to work for Ars Goetia VS Sinners alone. We know that a sinner can be physically destroyed and will require some time to regenerate, with even simple physical attacks while the Goetia demons actually don't seem to be able to be hurt, actually hurt (in a way that doesn't make them feel like you are into BDSM), unless you are using angelic weaponry. This can in part be concluded from how casual Stolas actually is when under attack, only to grow slightly more worried he learns his opponent is using angelic weapons. He isn't worried by regular attacks as he know they can't hurt him for long, when they come from a "lesser being". And at this point, Alastor can try all the tricks he want, if they don't stick, they won't do much. And we've seen that Stolas' teleportation abilities are vastly superior to those of Alastor, opening both portals to Earth with ease as well as to space. He could easily summon an asteroid to crash on Alastor, if he desired and if he isn't angelically hindered. To begin with. We also don't know the full extent of what his monster owl form can do and it is clear that need be, he could take control of corpses so any of Alastor' slain familiar might turn on their master on behest of Stolas. And I do think the power difference between Hell's royality and Sinners is by Hell's design. If the Overlords had the native potential to rival the Ars Goetia, the latter would stump them out, long before they reached that potential. HOWEVER and this is what would play in Alastors advantage, is the fact that due to their natural superiority, the Ars Goetia (and demons above them likely) have grown arrogant to the point that they are blind to the power shift angelic weapons actually brings to the table. It is how Stryker got the better of Stolas. Stolas wasn't really taking him all too serious (while Stryker is physically a very skilled and agile fighter, he can't rely on much magic), until it was too late and he got ensnared in angelic rope. So if Alastor comes to Stolas with Angelic weapons, Stolas might be in for the fight of his life but without that, Alastor doesn't stand a chance. And yes, Adam was an Angel, nearly getting the shit beating out of him by Alastor but we can't forget that he isn't in fact an natural born angel. He is in the first place a "winner" and the same might be the case for all the Exorcists. I think they are all born human, went to heaven and as they were female and warrior-like, recruited by Adam.
Ye kinda have to agree since stolas is really featless when it comes to battles and kinda just has to rely on his Bombastic side-eye medusa style to win but since the only thing we know that can stop his petrification is angelic weapons which alastor is to prideful to use shown by his fight with Adam so stolas probably gets the dub but then again the next ep could reveal that the Bombastic side-eye medusa style has some hidden condition or something so for now we can't be 100 percent certain just due to how little we know about stolas' powers and what he can and can't do
I mean honestly if we are giving Alastor angelic weapons it's an auto win for Alastor. That said I think Alastors strongest native attacks could breath Stolas's defenses and overwhelm his regen, it's heavily implied that Lucifer and the 7 deadly sins could easily murder someone like Stolas, so it's just a matter of raw power at that point, which Alastor has a lot of and while Stolas clearly has more I don't think he's out of striking range from Alastor. It'd be an uphill battle but I believe Alastors tenacity and combat experience could make up the power gap.
@@doomed89"it's heavily implied lucifer and the other sins could easily murder someone like stolas" I don't think it's an innate thing for the sins. Lucifer and Charlie could cause they're of Angelic descent and that runs innate to their magic as shown in episode 8 of Hazbin, with Charlie manifesting a trident that hurt Adam, and lucifer wrecking his shit in. I think the implication is that the sins have the connections, money, tools and authority. demon royalty very much seem to have the Spawn thing going for them in that they need specific kinds of magic infused weaponry to be used against them.
@@abuzerklldozerv360 well i would say more of a deal that would patch things up with them and in return something alastor wants like a favor or stolas' soul.
Sinners do regenerate from injuries, but the process is extremely painful. The crew has confirmed this a few times and it is implied in episode 2 of Hazbin by Velvette.
As to what I have seen in the shows the only reason I feel like you can’t really put money on either side is because Stolas isn’t much of a fighter. He only ever fights when he sees the people he cares about in danger. Stolas powers haven’t been expanded on but we do know that Stolas spell book has more spells then what we have seen. Not to mention the spells we have seen are more to help them out in situations like portal travel, and human disguises. However without the book Stolas does have his own powers like we see with possession. Alastor on the other hand has more fighting based powers because he fights so often. He is an overlord he has to fight. Fighting wise Alastor could win due to all his tricks. Alastor could very much win but how I see it is that as long Stolas isn’t being held back by an angelic rope and he is forced to fight then the odds are very equal. I hope that Stolas powers do get expanded on but at the same time because Stolas is more of pacifist when it comes to conflict he isn’t directly harmed in he rather not fight. But my money is on either side here.
I think its hard to compare, due to the fact that we have seen stolas's powers very little. We can guess he has more power we haven't seen because the only time he put in more effort to hurt somebody above what was absolutely necessary is very little. The only insight we see is when blitz was in trouble, and even then his goal was to terrify and neutralize the threat instead of trying to actually cause harm ( he couldn't use his powers with stricker, so it doesn't count). Alastor on the other hand, seems to always use more power to scare away or show off so we can get a lot on info of info on him. Because of this, we can only compare stolas's bare minimum and Alastor's full effort, but due to the fact these two things seem to be tied, we can guess Stolas is more powerful than alastor IF he chooses to put in the effort, which I doubt he will unless necessary because he's a cinnamon bun who doesn't want to hurt anybody.
That's true, but we can guess he can uses more power than needed just by looking at the scenes where he uses them. He didn't NEED to grow giant when fighting the loan sharks, the tentacles could have done it well enough, but he chose to. Why? My guess is that he wanted to show off or scare away threats. Though you are right he was probably still holding back, but with new info that he sold his soul to someone and his powers (or his will to do what he wants with his powers) are not fully his choice. So at this moment in time, (We will probably need more info for when he does get out of his soul deal and his powers are back) We can guess Stolas is more powerful.
Which is also why it's unlikely they'd fight. If they did though then Alastor is known to get Vox to target himself with how insecure he is. And Stolas is very insecure. One line. Of how he made empty promises to his daughter. He'd get under Stolas's feathers. Get him to fight himself. His own power, even if being more powerful then Alastor, can be used against himself. That's the game Alastor can play. And very well at that. The same tactic can't be used against Alastor, because Alastor always keeps his word. Even if it costs him.
I wonder, will we get to see the Archangels In Helluva boss, who are dealing with Satan? One of them being Michael who maybe Lucifer's brother and Charlie's uncle? But what do you guys think of theory?
And yet he was sloppy enough for Adam to break his staff. Alastor got cocky. Alastor also can get Vox to defeat themselves. Because Vox got cocky. He can do the same with Stolas. Because Stolas is insecure for sure.
Thing about Stolas is that despite having heard about it directly from Stella and having more than enough time to react he was still lasso'd by an imp with angelic rope. Alastor still probably outscales him in hax
1:55 he was using angelic steal when he had his shield up but I think he wanted to punch adam and annoy him for his personal entertainment. Therefor he was holding back and got caught off guard when his mic staff brokw
Stolas beats Alastor hard. Oh? What did you say? “But Stolas was nearly killed by an Imp!” Because he wanted Blitzø to be his knight in shining armor, which nearly cost him his life. Pay attention to the show and all will make sense. Also, didn’t Stolas blow up an entire solar system just to put his daughter to bed?
It's really one-sided, you *can't* kill or incapacitate demon royalty without either an angelic or blessed weapon (as mentioned in S1E5 Harvest Moon Festival). While a sinner can just respawn if not killed by an angelic weapon, they can still be hurt without one (we've seen plenty of times). Stolas probably couldn't get rid of him permanently, but Alastor isn't likely to even be able to harm Stolas.
It is not. In viviziepop words (the creator of both characters and series) when asked who would win between alastor and stolas: "Uhhhhh thats a good one. Hard to say. Their powers are very different. (stops to think). Its hard to say. Im going to go on a limb and say stolas tho, but i don't know" So stolas would probably win, but it would be VERY close and could go both ways. Its not unfeasible for alastor to win either.
3:00 I have a thought about Alastor coming back looking all fine. If wounds from the angelic ax can't be healed from, he could see at a later time he has stitched himself back up with his shadow. Or maybe he can heal from it w/e .
Ars Goetia are way above Overlords. And if we are counting underestimation, then there's no actual fight. Of being called off guard counts as being defeated, Alastor could technically be defeated by a random on the street.
We know that the overlords alastor killed were in power for centuries and were heavy hitters. When he first showed up at the hotel he even shocked Charlie.
it's a 'power vs skill' ratio, stolas has a power advantage and alastor has the skill advantage. then you have characters like charlie who have tons of power but almost 0 skill in using it.
Ngl with some of the recent epsiodes Stolas could be argued to be Multi Solar System level due to him consistently creating entire stary skies. Its not consistent with the verse as of now, as I belive the town-island level stuff is more reasonable for Stolas but due to how frequently he does it its not impossible to put him that high.
For anyone wondering why Stolas ran from Striker when he could've used his petrification glare. You mean dodge angelic bullets in a teahouse full of citizens? Yes, I'd want to take the fight outside too in that situation. He shapeshifted to make it difficult for Striker (who was fast) to hit him. We honestly don't know how well Stolas fights. We've never seen him truly fight but we know he's basically a mage and high up the foodchain. He has legions and some very useful powers such as telekinesis, petrification, posession and making himself invisible and whatsnot. But we know too little about Stolas' full raw powers. For all we know he could make it rain asteroids from the sky. That IS his territory. We do know the Ars Goetia are no light weights and rank above sinners in power, including overlords. They're immortal demons like the 7 sins. Only a fatal injury with a blessed weapon can kill Stolas. And Vivienne confirmed that he's more powerful than Alastor. In the end our deerboy is still a sinner. Taking on a prince of hell is not a good idea.
I’m sure Alastor _could_ clear the conditions for a sure victory, but Stolas has millennia of experience, I can’t imagine him just falling for any common trap. I could see Alastor underestimating Stolas and losing as a result, but escaping and putting him down in a rematch.
man, I'm gonna be real I completely disagree with your statement. the problem is that stolas is really ditsy and naive. he seems completely unaware of any even possibility of someone being willing to hurt him. he is just not a fighter, and probably would be extremely easy to beat unless he could literally just wrestle alastor down with pure magical power (telekinesis) which IS possible.
About that millennia Bugged debunk is due to one thing Blitzo existence, why is that because the 2 met as kids and met again as adult and imps seems to have normal human lifespan or less
@@werewolfdragon4740stolas just straight up outclasses Alastor, both literally in the hierarchy and in strength. @@AdamSlander888 some people just can't read. (the rope being angelic doesn't make it magically good at catching people) He just isn't a fighter, alastor is. So again I stand by my statement, if he can't one shot him with telekinesis or his stone gaze, he loses, he just doesn't have the skill to back up his power. and alastor has been stated to be able to kill multiple STRONG overlords, while stolas has only been shown using utility magic. the utility magic is more than what alastor can do, but he might just not be very good at fighting.
@@werewolfdragon4740 Alastor has literally no way of killing stolas and killing strong overlords means nothing because the goetia are far above that unless Alastor somehow has a way to kill stolas (which he doesn’t) stolas will just find a way to destroy Alastor either with magic or by some other means. Again Alastor has shown nothing that even puts him remotely close to the goetia in the hierarchy, he’s strong but he isn’t even the strongest overlord and the only reason he is able to be as strong as he is is because of either deals or he’s shown to be fighting low ranking demons like loan sharks
If it were purely a cage match sort of fight, then Alastor could probably beat Stolas for the reasons you said. But Stolas definitely has better mobility. Use his portals to move himself or Alastor to wherever he wants. Plus, Stolas can move between the Rings to recoup, while Alastor is stuck in Pride.
we know from livestreams from vivziepop that stolas and royals NOT TO BEST MESSED WITH under normal circumstances and that they have hefty power but other than that we have not much feats from stolas other than him no diffing those earth group members but I mean he can just look at alastor and turn him to stone with his medusa hax and that's it since alastor is WAY WAY to prideful too use angelic weapons unlike people like striker so unless he does use angelic weapons that's not working but also angelic weapons are the only thing that we know that can kill sinners and royalty so i'm not power sure if it will kill but stolas takes because of his medusa hax since nothing other than angelic weapons have been seen to stop his petrification technique which ONLY takes one glare. it's not that I think that alastor is weak in any means it's just stolas has one really op cheat code. But give me your opinions I wanna see what y'all say.
Honestly I think the reason why people lean on the "social hierarchy = hard power hierarchy" thing is, well, first of all everyone loves a good tier list, and they do tend to unfortunately flatten any arguments they come up in... but also because the Deadly Sins *do* work that way. They are both socially AND strength-wise above everyone below them in the hierarchy. They're a unique case owing to being something almost like minor gods in the series. There's even further depths to them depending on your headcanon or how far the writing team ends up digging into theological sources - Oz, for example, could be a fallen angel himself, which would automatically make him an immense danger to other hell denizens WITHOUT being a Deadly Sin.
Uhh no, we lean on it because some of us actually watch the livestreams and the Q&A and viv HERSELF confirmed that this is how it works. She already stayed a full grown goetia is stronger than sinners and specifically clarifies that stolas is stronger than alastor. Idk about you but I'm not going to argue with the creator of the show on that subject
@@memotorres9126Hey man, no need to be so snarky. Some of us have also watched the livestreams. You'll note I never called the tierlist wrong in my comment.
I see it as this. 1 Adult Goetia is beating 100-1000 Sinners and Hellborns in power depending on their innate ability and overall there are many more Goetia than Overlords.. The Average Overlord is also pretty strong about 100 sinners or hellborns in strength, they only posses power though, they are not already KNOWN throughout hell like a Goetia, an Overlord like Alastor made SURE to be known throughout hell, he is in my opinion at least in popularity as big as a Goetia and not because his radio show was happy go lucky or something, people know and fear him for his power and the way he broke other sinners and overlords, feats that haven't BEEN seen before in hell, or if they have , they never have been seen by such a young soul , my theory is that while he is by all means an "overlord" , something else is allowing him to have an even higher cieling than that, and this will leave us to see in the upcoming seasons. Like common , it's obvious we are being showed the Vee's and how they operate as cocky overlords because they are about to get smoked, they got more screentime than any other overlord besides Alastor, they keep saying Alastor is below them but there are hints that it might not be this way, I feel like Alastor wants to reign over hell itself and he made a deal with something that might allow him to attempt such an insanity.
I think it's safe to say at this point the higher ups of hell would smash Alistor and his lil barrier, Stolas ain't breaking a sweat while he has his powers, much like Lucifer all the sins are displayed to be powerful and that includes the Goetia Royals. Hell now at this point I'm pretty sure a Sin could remove all of Alistors potential on a whim and reset him to zero.
5:01 That's not durability, that's endurance. It'd be durability if those stabs couldn't penetrate his leg, but they did so this doesn't count. 5:41 Kinda haven’t watched this series so pardon me if I'm wrong but why didn’t he just petrify striker then? 6:29 Stolas could use his portals to go to a place with bodies around. What I need to know is if he's intelligent enough to do that. That's why BIQ is important.
For why he didn't petrify Striker it was because he couldn't. for context he was bound with angelic rope but in any other circumstance Striker would have been Bombastic side-eyed medusa style and would be a hunk of rock.
@@Ren-b7u Also, strinker was able to damage Stolas with angelic weapons. Pretty sure Alastor had plenty at the end of S1, so couldn't he demolish Stolas?
@@justsomerandomhomie1794nah. Goetia is above overlords. More Hierarchy = more strength, stolas couldnt fight striker bcuz there are 2 other goetias that would stop him. The angelic rope negged hes abilited
See the thing is, Vizzie made it VERY clear that if you're a higher level then this and that, then youre obviously stronger. Using Stiker as a way to downplay Stolas (I can't find the right word) doesn't work, because Striker is known to be strapped with angelic weapons, on top of the fact Stolas didn't take him seriously until it was too late, AND even if he did fought back, which he could, Stella would've jumped him (maybe her brother would tag along too). Apart from the hierarchy stuff tho, as far as we've seen, this matchup dont really make much sense, because both shows are different in terms of combat. In helluva boss, its made very clear that mostly imps and hellhounds do the fighting. Excluding the I.M.P, it was shown/said that imps used to be involved in wars, and there's a literal episode of a bunch of imps taking part in a brawling competition. For Hellhounds, they've been shown to be used mainly as bodyguards, but to some extent, imps has done this too. In Hazbin Hotel, literally ANY and EVERYONE fights for something.
I assume it would be Vox, he seems to control more of the industry than both Valentino and Velvette, along with being able to apparently go toe to toe with Alastor, almost killing them both.
This is a wonderful idea for a fight however we have to remember that Alistair is limited in power by his deal, and assuming that he thought he could defeat Adam with his level of power, it is most likely that he would be far more powerful without his deal.
@@lorenzoherreros6641 Actually, Alastor can get Stolas to fight himself due to how insecure Stolas is. Having more power doesn't mean you can't be manipulated into fighting yourself. Alastor has proven he can do this with Vox. So even if Stolas is more powerful that can actually be in Alastor's favor. Since he can get inside peoples heads.
I think Alastor, Despite being lower then stolas in the hierarchy, is probably a special case and is much more powerful then the average overlord due to the whatever vodoo demon he gets his powers from. That said, if Stolas actually destroyed that solar system in episode 2 Alastor is screwed lmao
@@Tophat-TurtleIt wasn't an illusion, he just created a portal to a dying solar system. But he definitely doesn't need to be a solar system destroyer to defeat Alastor.
@@isaiah5519 bro that won’t do anything to Alastor who tanked hits from Adam who is scaled far above most angels and Overpowered Charlie with ease so it’s not that simple
@@MaximumPrime He didnt tank the hit he almost died. Tanking and barely survivng are two different things. So is getting hit by an attack and turning to stone
people tend to forget that technique also plays a major role in power itself. Yes, Alastor definitely or (probably for what we know so far) holds less power than Stolas, but you sure have to consider that for as much power as Stolas holds he literally got kidnapped by a imp (yes I know he’s in the ars goetia), and, Alastor easily kept up with Adam in the fight (ADAM, an angel, the first man, stronger than STOLAS, the one who also easily was beating up Charlie, which in this case she HAS a lot of power, but NO TECHNIQUE.)
Alistair’s been around hell since the beginning of the 20th century and Stolas has been in charge of his legions since the middle of hell. So, I’d say Stolas could win by a long shot, and who knows? Maybe he’ll just take Alistair down for the long count of time.
stolas can go into the human world, and travel galaxies in the real world, and this is stuff he can do easily like nothing, and he is able to fly across an entire city in hell (im guessing) in seconds so I dont know if alastor lasting a minute
I think Alastor in Viv mind when she made pilot was way less powerful than in full show. This is based on pilot and things Viv sayed. I know it would never happend, but I would love to see Alastor vs Beelzebub. Maybe someone will made fan animation? I hope so. Or maybe I could... no.
4:07 Striker won on trickery alone. And if we count prep time and trickory then literally anyone can beat anyone, regular aah human can "solo Superman" if he just has cryptonite trap, also I know Superman has bs feats of beating cryptonite but my point was simply that, so long as character isn't literally unbeatable and has one weakness, weaker characters can beat that but that's not what vs death battle rankings are all about, they're about ONE VS O N E. Who cares that Al can beat Stolas with prep time? Fcking Loona could probably do it as well but that doesn't make her stronger than Stolas, so it's kinda irrelevant, what's relevant is who's winning 1v1 no prep time and only trickery allowed in combat. Could Alastor win? Absolutely since power gap isn't that huge, but to pretend Stolas is a pushover due to ONE guy who used tricks to get him is absurd
I think Stolas, like Charlie is naturally more powerful than Alastor, but both are just not qualified for combat whatsoever. If Stolas actually applied himself, or had at least a little combat experience, he would win. But without someone like Blitzo being in danger, Stolas won't fight at his full potential. Meanwhile we can safety assume that in a fight, Alastor would go for the kill first chance he gets
@mr.knightthedetective7435 That room was not him affecting the actual solar system lol. It's just simulation. Him moving the planet around like that would've killed people lol.
Stolas: *gets easily kidnapped by imp cowboy with angelic lasso and angelic knife* Alastor: *kills angels with big black ball and puts up a good fight with the literal leader of the exorcists and is able to take a huge slice from probably the strongest angelic weapon*
Being honest, no one would win. Stolas is very much high in power, Al might not be as good in the offense side but doesn't lack in his defenses. Sinners are automatically immortal and seemingly indestructable if hit with anything besides angelic items. Even with Stolas having great magic, it still would be pointless, as without angelic weapons, the target would just respawn. Now a fight between them with actual angelic silver (Perhaps Stolas might get his hands on something more devine from sheer status and money.) would look different, we still know crap about Stolas general combat skills and power range. As long as someone looses focus or underestimates their oponent, the other folk will have a field day winning. (A tie for now, only because Stolas hadn't gotten more then like one fighting opportunity, therefore we are left clueless on the combat skills.)
Angelic Lasso completely nullifies his powers, same thing would happen to Alastor dude. Alastor's massive shield also got one shotted by Adam's fist, not even an angelic weapon. Alastor is strong but people wank him off so bad.
@@jessphilipguevarra4743 That wouldn't stop Alastor from getting inside your head though. Like he has shown with Vox. He can make you fight yourself. And that's pure raw skill and talent. Not magic.
I just want to say can alastors magic even affect stolast beacause it was said that the only way to kill demon royalty aka stolas was with angelic weapons and aiming in this fight alastor doesn’t have any of those but hay I don’t really know
I feel like this isn’t a very accurate power scaling between the two. On the one hand we’ve seen Alestor flex his powers plenty of times in the 8 episodes of the Hazbin hotel. Meanwhile Stolas hasn’t had much of any opportunities to show off his raw power and abilities despite 8 seasons of Hell of a boss. And even when he does show his powers there pretty inconsistent. He was able to one shot an imp. But looses to striker. He can posses people and make portals without his book in one episode. Yet in another when he doesn’t have his book his powers are limited.
I guess that they are close in power, with Stolas having a bit of an edge. Vivi did say that its a tricky question due to how their powers work. Also, on the "Alastor has some regeneration": All Sinners do. They are essentially immortal, lacking a conventional death now that they are already dead. Its confirmed that they can pull themselves together from being crushed/smashed by a boulder, dismemberment etc. Its unknown how long it takes, and its shown that angelic weapons slow or outright stop said regeneration ( said weapons also nuliffy invulnerability, and can directly destroy a soul) the so Alastor taking some time to come back is due to that, and he was still walking around with no problem despite that wound.
@@tomjanning2710 but Alastor can't kill Stolas either, not if he doesn't have angelic weapons, and Alastor also can be killed with them for people who say that sinners can regenerate: so do demons, Stolas healed after being stubbed with angelic knife
I love the way they made alastor. He can outskill people but not outpower them, at least in terms of other stronger characters, he again destroys regular sinners.
@@MrMochaMouseWhen was it said that Sera is the strongest Seraphim and where was it said that Lucifer was a mid power seraphim? Sera seems kinda scared of Lucifer at times so I think he would win.
She is the head seraphim as of now. And, as of now, Lucifer has no business being the head seraphim even if he used to be or not because he is banished to hell. Like, her current position doesn't matter because we don't know what Lucifer was doing before he started stirring shit up. @@MrMochaMouse
Stolas' "power in numbers" was him controlling dead bodies across realms to draw his seal and summon himself into the living world without his grimoire
I invite everyone to watch or rewatch Helluva Boss S2 E2, "Seeing Stars" - specifically about 15:15 into the video. Stolas'can barely walk. His "battle sense" during the chaos consisted of a limp-wrist throwing of a water bottle. Unless he was intentionally holding back in order to avoid blowing his cover on earth, Stolas might have the "Charlie" problem. He is naturally overpowered, but has no experience and isn't inclined to fighting. His best strength in a fight with Alastor is petrification.
@@that_icy_stylish_bitch i said it seems like, not that it’s set in stone canon. but still. i mean heaven is most likely up there above overlords and whatnot. and alastor managed to kill multiple exorcists and would’ve killed adam had he used angelic weapons.
We're all forgetting two things: 1. Stolas is a DAD. And 2. Stolas is a kinky bastard. Al took one lucky hit and he dipped. Remember that Adam was pretty much just swinging with reckless abandon, not used to opponents that actually fought back. He won because he got a lucky hit in and used a big blast of holy magic which easily overpowered Al. Al is a smart fighter, though. Stolas All Stolas needs as a reason is that Al *might* harm his daughter and he's going all out. Stolas is constantly getting kidnapped, shot at, etc. Al hides. Al does have more significant wins under his belt, and he'll use more cunning tricks to win, being the psychopathic freak of a serial killer he is. Stolas might be able to just swat away Al's magic like it's nothing. He has SIGNIFICANTLY more experience and arcane knowledge than Al, being possibly hundreds or thousands of years old, meaning his magic is more versatile and more powerful, not to mention more refined. He seamlessly shifted into a shadow form. Al's getting good hits in, completely due to being willing to do more cheap tricks, but Stolas' magic is likely far and away more powerful than Al's. Stolas might have some degree of foresight, even, due to his job being largely divination-based.
Alastor is very clever, using whatever he can to advantage. He could get cocky and prideful as we've seen Adam vs Alastor. But I do think Stolas would mostly likely win. The reason why Stolas's power didn't work on Striker was due to the angelic lasso around him.
A royal bird who has never been on combat and relies on his magic/raw powers, loves books Vs a strategic overlord above overlords with a large kill count and stalled Adam (Almost won)
Not to mention that Alastor can get inside your head when you're insecure. Which Stolas is. Alastor's good at getting inside your head. He just couldn't do it with Adam because just look at that narcissist. Doesn't exactly think does he? Stolas is more a thinker And one to worry. Alastor showed he can get Vox to fight himself. He can do the same with Stolas. One line about how Stolas made empty promises to his daughter and Alastor would erode Stolas's willpower. That can't be done to Alastor because Alastor keeps his word, even if it costs him. What Alastor dies is get you to use your own power against yourself. By working you up somehow. He's basically Dante in Devil May Cry. Taunts and goads until you slip up.
I still feel Stolas is stronger. If Alister uses his barrier, who's to say Stolas can't pass through it with a portal? Or drop Alister through a portal into the sun? Or just posses Alister and make him commit die?
one thing I'll say about Alastor is that he DEFINETLY wasn't trying to kill Adam in their fight, only delay him. If Lillith has a deal with Adam and Lillith also owns Alastor, she wouldn't condone him fucking up her deal with Adam.
@@Idkwhattoput-nl7wj Yea, but that was only to goad Adam to make him lose focus. Alastor never said when either. He just needs to delay Adam long enough for his allies to get the upper hand. If he wins it's a bonus. Alastor is always prepared to lose. It's indicated in everything he does. In how he sees the hotel as hopeless yet still tries, and sets the stage for Husk to be there for Angel. He covers all the possabilities. He even makes very sure to talk to everyone he can, making sure he's providing the more indrect direction. He gets inside Vox's head, makes him fight himself. Uses your own power against you. Vox is legit doing that. It's not even just a metaphor here. Adam was just much of a narcissist for that. Stolas is more of a thinker and one to worry. That makes it easier for Alastor to target Stolas's insecurities. Such as how he failed his daughter for example. Considering Alastor tries to play "best dad" with Lucifer then he could do that. Alastor knows what to target here. Stolas can toss all the world ending planets he likes. But if you are caught off guard with the truth, of how you told your daughter that everything would be ok, and are reminded it was not, then what? He'd have to pause. He'd hate himself for that. They all do. And if someone is honest with you, telling you the truth, then how can you target that? No amount of power can change harsh reality. That's the game Alastor plays. His threat against Adam was just petty banter. But if Alastor really wanted to make you suffer he'd BREAK you. Not just kill you. Adam is kind of immune to shame. Stolas isn't.
In a fist fight maybe, but in any other competition Alastor would run circles around our poor depressed owl dad. Alastor stuck by Charlie and earned her trust, waiting for her to experience a true moment of weakness. As soon as she did, he was there to capitalize on it. That's exactly how it would go with Stolas and Alastor would acquire his soul with ease.
The Hazbin/Helluva universe has a specific power ranking and the Ars Goetia outrank the Overlords. Sinners can reform after being deadly wounded and only killed by angelic weapons, but Goetia straight up can't get harmed by anything non-angelic.
I think the power structure isn't anywhere near as rigid and the two can't really be fairly assessed. But one thing people keep saying that is driving me NUTS is that Alastor has more combat experience like he's using any sort of strategy in any fights we see him in. We've seen him fight people who are clearly weaker than him, and we've seen him fight Adam and lose fast. But he isn't playing 3D chess against his opponents. He's going at them with brute force. Yes it is said he toppled overlords in the past, but we don't know how he's gone about doing it and we have no evidence to suggest he would not go at Stolas head first like he has literally everyone else. In my opinion, Alastor is a manipulator. He backs people into vulnerable positions and then flexes his power at the right time. Do I think he could find a way to do that to Stolas? Absolutely because Stolas, bless his sweet birdie heart, is a bit naive. But if you put the two in a cage together and told them to duke it out, I have absolutely no reason to think Alastor would last a single round against a Prince of Hell.
Alastor did not lose fast against Adam. Adam had him several times outmatched in terms of power and was using angelic weaponry and Alastor managed to get several hits on him before taking any damage. He was basically playing dark souls against a boss that could one shot him and winning for a good chunk of it. There's no reason to believe that Stolas is as powerful as Adam and he wouldn't be using angelic weaponry.
I think a lot of people really overestimate alastor in the fandom in the higharchary he’s only towards the middle tier even Charlie is she wanted to she could hypothetically just flash alastor out of existence since not only her status and also her being part seraphim Angel
Alastor could win easy if he uses Angelic weapons to equip with his minions which could overwhelm Stolas by masses. Stolas was almost killed with just a stab from a Angelic dagger by Striker whose an imp so Stolas is vulnerable to Angelic weapons no matter who stabs him. If using raw power then they may be evenly matched but since Alastor has made a deal with someone powerful, his power creep could have been enhanced dramatically.
Alastor fanboys making stuff up again. If using angelic weapons is permitted, then we can give them to Stolas too and our owl boy can beat that tacky deer with even more ease. Stolas' reflexes are impressive, as seen in episode 2 of the first season, and his powers also allow him to control physical objects, which we also see in season 1. Try again!
Striker is a trained fighter. Stolas is not. Striker has more fight training than millie and moxie who would easily beat alastor in an only hand to hand fight. So uh yea, argument is very dumb.
@@that_icy_stylish_bitch yet Stolas was immediately caught with the angelic rope by a literal imp an IMP. On the other hand Alastor was able to dodge multiple attacks from Adam’s angelic weapon and Adam is the leader of the exorcist angels.Try again
People are saying Stolas is on another level to Alastor as if it’s not just one level. I think they are a lot closer in rare power than people think. But even then I’ll give it to Stolas Alastor needs to come into the fight prepared. If he runs in guns a blazin Stolas will catch Alastor off guard in some way, whether it’s turning him to stone or something else doesn’t matter. Alastor’s problem in a fight is his own ego. But either way it goes it will be close
Stolas is on another to Alastor but I think you're right that he's only really one rung above him in raw power, I think Alastor could make up the difference with combat experience.
Obviously there’s no confirmation bc I’m not part of the crew butttttt for the petrifaction alastor can’t be seen on cameras and maybe something similar would happen with that ability too, kind of just frizzling but not turning him into stone, or maybe it doesn’t work on sinners because they regen after death while as far as I know hellborn don’t so alastor might be able to get multiple attempts, but vivziepop also said regen from scratch would be painful so who knows. Good video
You just made one of the most baseless assumptions ever. Imagine comparing a camera to an eye. If it worked like, everyone would go blind by looking at Alastor. The thing is, Stolas has other powers besides petrification, he wouldn't even need that.
it's a bit weird with petrification because if DAMAGED the body slowly painfully heals (unless damaged with angelic weaponry) but would petrification count as damage with it being closer to frozen. but then again she also said if damaged BEYOND repair then they would remanifest (unless damaged with angelic weaponry) so it may count as that.
@@plantcrone9662 don’t really get the hate, im just loosely theorizing on nothing, just something fun, but also if it worked on everyone but sins, why’s that because they’re big, alastor can turn big, does that mean I think alastor would beat a sin or compare to their power, not usually no.
Here's a fun one to dive into: Striker got his angelic weapons from stella to kill Stolas, I bet that's pretty obvious. But where did Stella get those? From Carmine? Probably not and there's some evidence in Hazbin Hotel to prove that. During episode 6 we're treated to this amazing song called "you didn't know?" and you can see a statue in the background, a statue that seems to resemble Stella pretty heavily, it's accompanied by 2 seats at it's feet which remained empty during that episode. Nobody noted that statue that against all odds stands there. The Gotia family is a demon species that should in noway be aquainted with Sera or the other angels... Yet there's an honorable statue there which leads to the assumption Sera and Stella have a bond and Sera could very well be the one to have handed those weapons to stella. Because Carmine would be a witness you could not risk having as killing a royal demon could result in bad stuff happening probably. Which means the 2 could be ending up fighting on the very same side against the very same foes instead of against each other.
You know that goetias arent above overlords in the hierarchy of hell, do you? Also, In viviziepop words (the creator of both characters and series) when asked who would win between alastor and stolas: "Uhhhhh thats a good one. Hard to say. Their powers are very different. (stops to think). Its hard to say. Im going to go on a limb and say stolas tho, but i don't know" So stolas would probably win, but it would be VERY close and could go both ways. It’s not just people rolling with the idea that hierarchy equals power…. That’s literally what Vizzie herself stated. Your hierarchy= your power level.
People forget that its literally the reason why sinners arent dead last in the system. Because they have powers and are immortal
Yeah, it really makes sense if your that on top of the hierarchy it would make sense you'd be powerful than the ones lower than you.
So joe biden beats average mcdonalds employee cause he's higher ranked despite seemingly being unable to climb stairs?
You understand,, Hierarchy might equal power, but it doesn’t equal smart, Striker was able to outsmart stolas, Striker is an Imp.
No she didn’t your just trying to get any peace of evidence to make you sound right
Just get over yourself and admit that alestor wins😂
You have to remember we only seen Stolas get fully serious once and that was when he was rescuing the IMP Gang and he was terrifying. The thing with Striker only happened because Striker had something to completely nullify his powers rendering him helpless Al wouldn't have faired any better in that aspect. Plus not sure how useful Al's barrier would be if Stolas can probably just make a portal to get around it.
basically Al is strong very much so but seems like you are really underestimating Stolas who has never really had to get serious since the only time anyone was an actual threat to him was when said person used an item to make him powerless. It's like the Sins Bee is a massive party girl who was ust super chill are you going to say Al can beat her as well?
how should stolas even kill Alastor? he cant. sinners are effectively immortal unless he gets an angelic weapon.
@@tomjanning2710 how would Alaster even hurt Stolas? He can't really be harmed without angelic weapons at least very seriously and those weren't Sinners but hellborn loansharks from Greed so they could be killed
Stolas can just petrifying Alastor, he doesnt even need to kill him
Probably why Vivzie has said that it would be an easy win for Stolas. Hes just outright more powerful and has way better abilities than Alastor.
If Alastor wants to harm Octavia, I think he will be in VERY big trouble.
@@nicodiangelo6788he got exploded by Adam lol
Having more money doesn't really mean more powerful but yeah from what we've seen stolas is quite strong
Alastor fought ALL the Vees "He owes US mutch more than money" - Valentino "He'd be powerless without the other Vees" - Alastor
Alastor is also extremely cocky. Dude was hard under estimating Adam. Adam who effortlessly defeats him when he got somewhat serious.

So i think it would be fair to assume Alastor would be powerless if constrained by Angelic Rope as well.

Stolas wins this fight! Shows creator confirmed that Stolas and all of his family are much more powerful then overlords (like Alastor)
we'v never seen any of their full powers at all so its really impressive how you cam up with a winner.
Sinners like Alastor can also only be killed permanently by angelic weapons. They are equal in that aspect.
That or Alastor’s deal gets terminated.

@@lozzielozer This is a lame answer though.
"ehhh they're ranked higher"
if you're not gonna discuss? shut up.
the confirmation does still stand, stolas wins, because thats what vizipop confirmed.
HOWEVER, if we WERE to ignore this, goetia being ranked higher, and having higher power, is seemingly meaningless, if we have seen zero evidence of this being actually applicable combat power. stolas can teleport and has been seen using telekinesis or something similar, outside of that he has been shown as completely incompetent and incapable of recognizing a danger to himself, and an almost unwillingness to defend himself, only even attempting to do anything more than run away once he was already tied up and brought seemingly dozens of miles into a cavern by nothing more than an imp.
the imp had angelic weapons, yes, but killing isn't a win condition here, (demon) magic can't kill either one, it needs to be angelic weapons.
as a result, disabling is the win condition, therefore:
either alastor attacks stolas relentlessly and is able to take him down
or stolas can stone-skin or telekinesis him down.
if stolas can't just flat out pin alastor down, I can not see him winning in any sort of back and forth.
stolas just assumes himself to be untouchable, meanwhile we have actively seen alastor engage in active combat with a high degree of competency, including against a superior opponent (adam).
this superior opponent (who I will assume to be relative to stolas) is an active combatant, routinely practicing during exterminations, and having no qualms about fighting.
alastor was still able to land multiple successful hits against him and harass him quite effectively, only losing because of adam managing to land a hit to stun, and then following it up with an angelic weapon strike - which is intended to be lethal, and still does not succeed in its goal.

How would alastor even react to the petrification. Stolas just looks at him and hes a statue.

He can win by seducing stol with his shadow tentacles
@@doomed89"it's heavily implied lucifer and the other sins could easily murder someone like stolas"
I don't think it's an innate thing for the sins. Lucifer and Charlie could cause they're of Angelic descent and that runs innate to their magic as shown in episode 8 of Hazbin, with Charlie manifesting a trident that hurt Adam, and lucifer wrecking his shit in.
An episode where they combine both and they both have to save a certain part of themselves and their friends
Also what if stolas can mind control the shadow demons?

@@tomjanning2710 maybe agains t adam? since he litterally almost died

I agree with ur take, really it comes down to skill in combat which Alastor for sure has, but as far as I am aware our Owl Prince does not.

Alastor killed featless overlords😂and it was stated that everyone underestimated him
Stolas is demon royalty directly below the 7 sins
Overlords, not goetia. Overlords are powerful sinners. Goetia are hellborn nobles.
Wouldn't that mean Stolas would also likely underestimate him?
Ars Goetia are way above Overlords. And if we are counting underestimation, then there's no actual fight.
Of being called off guard counts as being defeated, Alastor could technically be defeated by a random on the street.
We know that the overlords alastor killed were in power for centuries and were heavy hitters. When he first showed up at the hotel he even shocked Charlie.
it's a 'power vs skill' ratio, stolas has a power advantage and alastor has the skill advantage. then you have characters like charlie who have tons of power but almost 0 skill in using it.
Applies to Stolas as well, he has demonstrated time and time again that he is very unskilled in combat.
Well considering all it takes from stolas is a glare to render you to absolute stone-
my money is on the bird boy.
I could see Alastor underestimating Stolas and losing as a result, but escaping and putting him down in a rematch.
man, I'm gonna be real I completely disagree with your statement.
the problem is that stolas is really ditsy and naive. he seems completely unaware of any even possibility of someone being willing to hurt him. he is just not a fighter, and probably would be extremely easy to beat unless he could literally just wrestle alastor down with pure magical power (telekinesis) which IS possible.

we know from livestreams from vivziepop that stolas and royals NOT TO BEST MESSED WITH under normal circumstances and that they have hefty power but other than that we have not much feats from stolas other than him no diffing those earth group members but I mean he can just look at alastor and turn him to stone with his medusa hax and that's it since alastor is WAY WAY to prideful too use angelic weapons unlike people like striker so unless he does use angelic weapons that's not working but also angelic weapons are the only thing that we know that can kill sinners and royalty so i'm not power sure if it will kill but stolas takes because of his medusa hax since nothing other than angelic weapons have been seen to stop his petrification technique which ONLY takes one glare. it's not that I think that alastor is weak in any means it's just stolas has one really op cheat code. But give me your opinions I wanna see what y'all say.
Ed Bosco “NO!” Killed me 3:35
Honestly I think the reason why people lean on the "social hierarchy = hard power hierarchy" thing is, well, first of all everyone loves a good tier list, and they do tend to unfortunately flatten any arguments they come up in... but also because the Deadly Sins *do* work that way.
Short answer:NO
Long answer:HELL NO
I think it's safe to say at this point the higher ups of hell would smash Alistor and his lil barrier, Stolas ain't breaking a sweat while he has his powers, much like Lucifer all the sins are displayed to be powerful and that includes the Goetia Royals.

If the Vees all fought each other, who would come out on top?
I assume it would be Vox, he seems to control more of the industry than both Valentino and Velvette, along with being able to apparently go toe to toe with Alastor, almost killing them both.
This is a wonderful idea for a fight however we have to remember that Alistair is limited in power by his deal, and assuming that he thought he could defeat Adam with his level of power, it is most likely that he would be far more powerful without his deal.

Its not unfeasible for alastor to win either.
All sinners have regeneration abilities, though it is confirmed to be a very painful process.
I think Alastor, Despite being lower then stolas in the hierarchy, is probably a special case and is much more powerful then the average overlord due to the whatever vodoo demon he gets his powers from.

people tend to forget that technique also plays a major role in power itself.

Sinner vs one of the deadly sin? You really wanted to see Al got killed huh. I wonder what your beef with him.

Oh please let me know when alastor can find a way out of pride
The reason why Stolas's power didn't work on Striker was due to the angelic lasso around him.

one thing I'll say about Alastor is that he DEFINETLY wasn't trying to kill Adam in their fight, only delay him. If Lillith has a deal with Adam and Lillith also owns Alastor, she wouldn't condone him fucking up her deal with Adam.

It’s also sad because of Alistair’s deal that you heard he was on a chain on rendered him weaker

Here's a fun one to dive into:
Striker got his angelic weapons from stella to kill Stolas, I bet that's pretty obvious.
