You guys use a Jackery generator to keep trolling motor batteries topped up? I been looking into learning the Bay, but the only maps out there are Navionics and I keep seeing on fishing forums guys hitting the props saying the aps are off. Got me a little paranoid. I have been trying to figure out which campsites on Massasuga Provincial Park sites have sand areas to beach my boat while I sleep and eat. But so far going through google review and maps pics I found ONE site. And its nowhere near as far as I wanna go out. Tying to plan this and be safe is a pain... but it will be worth it. You guys have the best vids out there so informative and done so well.
@meadrenalinejunkie yep small generator. It's a must for multi day trips. The maps are good for the main boating route but outside that just assume its completely wrong. Google earth study before hand and marking extra rocks / planned routes on deeper looking channels is how we do it
Great show Nice to see you get into a few Looks like there may have been a good spawn four years ago. One tip if I may wet your bump boards before laying the fish on them It helps preserve thier protective slime Looking forward to the next one.
I'd look for those pinch and saddle points where its deep on 2 sides and shallow on 2 sides. These are huge concentration points. Also don't be scared to fish the open water down the middle but keep your bait high in the water column and go fast. like 5 mph +
Seemed like it here. Depends on the year and area tho. A lot of the fish in the types of area we were fishing don't move all that far even as summer comes around. Maybe the next visit back we can find some big girls

@kainowak the girth made it seem huge .... until we put it on the board. Dirty beat up resident fish though
fishing new waters in august, deep, narrow, what would you suggest to fish for this time of year?

big girls are gone, only the males are left by the time you get there on opener
