I was taught to stagger joint and never have the same length of board above each other. Is that just a visual thing ?

You make it look easy. What’s that tool you’re using to fasten to the studs?

A screw gun, all the main tool manufacturers make them. Normally 18v battery versions. The drywall screws are in a plastic band, kind of like machine gun ammo. The tip makes contact driving the screw in but has a limited travel, so once the screw is flush then the driver loses contact leaving it set in the board the right amount. Only worth having if you are going to do a lot of work

If you are asking because of the gap between the ceiling and the wall, that is intentional. In Australia, most houses have a molding they call cornice. It is made from the same materials as the plasterboard and is applied using joint compound.

So quick question. I know if you over drive a screw you should put another screw next to it for strength but are you suppose to take the overdriven screw out? Also if you over drive a screw in a tape joint can you get a screw pop or the tape will prevent that? Thanks and keep up the good work!
