I got accused of plagiarism because I used the word ‘thus’ in seventh grade and the teacher was convinced that a seventh grader wouldn’t know that word. She asked in front of the class how many people knew that word and everyone except like 3 people raised their hands. So she dropped it.
I got accused of copying off the internet because I took good notes 😂😂 the teacher literally private messaged me saying “I don’t think you were the one who did this, I think you found it from the internet” (I used my notes to pass this writing test to be fair but she thought I pulled it from somewhere lol)

yeah my history teacher accidentally once told my class about it, so now everyone in my class is aware about that as well (all the extroverts [not me cause am introvert] told their friends in other classes about it but also told them not to tell any adults and surprisingly, no one snitched) and till this day, im sure no adults or parents know that we know ‘bout it >:D

Honestly, I’d have taken that Public Speaking thing up with the school as a serious complaint. If they’re testing you on your Public Speaking skills, that’s a completely different thing to testing you on your Speechwriting skills. If anything, they should have given you the speeches to see what flair and skill you bring to them. It’s an oracy class, not a writing class. To fail it for plagiarising a speech is unfair and definitely complaint-worthy.

dude the teacher was incredibly nice about it, plagarism regardless of how its applied is punishable by expulsion. public speaking is not only an art of communication, its synthesizing your own ideas for persuasion/arguments. if all of his ideas were stolen without any critical thought, thats plagiarism.
He still ought to have at least cited the video.

Not really, while it sounds a bit odd they still are testing you for scriptwriting skills as well as citation being mandatory in any academic setting. In fact she was exceptionally relaxed with the consequences as typically plagiarism, especially on such an extreme level, normally receives MAJOR consequences. Typically failure of an assignment is expected, sometimes even failure of a class, and in extreme cases expulsion or revocation of a degree isn't unheard of, though these are typically edge cases for habitual plagiarism instead of a singular case.

I plagiarized twice. Once I handed in a copy pasted like 30 page science report in middle school where only the first couple pages were written by me.
Teacher knew it was sketch but couldn’t prove it at the time so I got away with it.
Second time I just handed in a book report that I had written for another class a year or two prior, and my mother found out and told the teacher and THAT I got in trouble for. Plagiarizing myself. 🤦🏽♂️

Here's how I never got in trouble for plagiarism, I just copy, paste, edit. So I edit the copied text, that way it looks more like I wrote it myself, instead of copying it from some website.
I low-key do the same thing.
My teacher doesn't let us use the laptops to research stuff because she believes the government is tracking all of the electronics. she will not even use her own computer... she got fired

I'm an ambivert and I did public speaking. Some tips I used is that you should pick a wall (preferably a wall behind the audience) and just stare at it. Just imagine there's no audience and it works surprisingly lol
Just have such bad social anxiety from one-on-one or group conversations that you worry about that instead of what you said during a speech.

Same ways as an extrovert actually. I'm also introverted and don't mind public speaking, if I must. You just have to develop social/communication skills and develop confidence in yourself or a level of apathy in others opinions. Introversion doesn't mean that you have bad social skills, it just means that you prefer solitude or smaller groups to 'recharge' over parties and lots of social interaction. Granted, someone who is more introverted does have less drive or opportunity to develop social skills or overcome any social anxiety they might have.
Edit: If I had to give one tip though, it would be, when talking to/in a group, only talk to a single person. The person can change while you speak, but act as if you're having a one-on-one conversation with them. It's a lot easier and a whole lot less draining that way.

I failed a subject because I did "self plagiarism" seriously I filed a complaint to the school. At the time I didn't know it was illegal to use one assignment for two classes. Self plagiarism was never mentioned in the student handbook or was discussed during orientation. I won and ended up getting the lowest passing grade.

Heres my tip: Copy and paste something onto your project. once you edit the text font and size, edit the text a little bit. e.g: Joyful --> Happy. then go onto Grammarly plagiarize thingy, and see if it can detect plagiarism. Im pretty sure thats how a lot of teachers find out you've been copyrighting, so edit the text until grammarly cant figure out its been plagiarized.
