I know Brendon is thankful for all the good discussions and that you were a tremendous help to him and his ambitions. *Christina

At 20:02 the panels on the ground reflect the sunlight to focus at the top of the tower heating the material in the chamber (I think it is sodium) to very hot temperatures which flashes water to steam to turn a turbine and make electricity. Thanks for sharing the road trip Clarke, Keith, and Mike.

For those solar plants, y'all had it backwards - the mirrors reflect light up to the central pillar which generates power (I think via heating salt up to melting point, then using that to boil water to turn steam turbines). Really cool to see that!

That looked like the Ivanpah Solar Power Facility. It isn't a mirror reflecting to the ground, it is mirrors reflecting to the middle unit. Water is constantly pumped through the unit and is super heated. The result is a solar steam turbine. It has another name...solar death ray to anything that gets in range...and yes, bird do fly into that ray and get incinerated. The "efficiency" isn't great at all, and while it does supply power, I believe they have stated that maintenance doesn't make this super viable, but it is better than having nothing at all.

You've got to do a cross country road trip at least once. I've done them many times both as a kid being drug all around the states West of the Mississippi and then again as an adult with my wife both in the Porsche and on the Honda Gold Wing motorcycle. Even if you only do it once the South West of the US is indescribably a sight to be seen and then there is the Rockies and the Tetons mountains, breathtaking.
A bucket list item for sure. Do it before you jump out of the airplane or bungee off a bridge, just in case!

You didn't include the answer! (edit: or maybe you did...I need to watch the rest) I got 26, 24x24+8x8+6x6 = 676 which is 26x26. Long multiplication is a pain and the square root was a guess based on 25x25 being 625 and assuming the answer was a whole number 😁
