He was only here for half a season, but Milwaukee will never forget what he did for us in 2008. He pitched the entire final month of the season on three days rest, and almost single-handedly ended the Brewers' 26-year postseason drought. Congrats on the Hall of Fame CC, well deserved!
@@FuzzyWuzzyHairdamn right. What he did in Milwaukee hasn’t been done before him, hasn’t been done since. The Yankees had to outbid themselves 3 times before CC signed. He wanted to hit. He enjoyed Milwaukee and his teammates, most he still talks to. So ya, Milwaukee was a big part of his overall career, just not long.
CC Sabathia is a first-ballot MLB Hall of Famer. Glad to say I was attendance at Yankee Stadium on October 7, 2009 for the first playoff game in the new stadium where CC Sabathia got the win. - 2009 World Series Champion - 2009 ALCS MVP - 2007 A.L. Cy Young - 251 wins - 3,093 strikeouts
Love Big CC.. When he joined the Yankees in addition to being a guy who was the best on short rest. CC brought a class and joy to the clubhouse. A fantastic pitcher with a heart of gold. Loved by his teammates and fans on every team he played for. He played injured many times and the fans never knew. One of the best innings eaters of his era. Congrats CC on an amazing career!
My favorite memory was a raining night in Baltimore in the playoffs. After 2 rain delays CC still took the field and dominated the O’s… That was a fun night.. Thanks CC!
No bs I got called up as a sophomore to play in an Easter tournament with CC, Vallejo apaches. I played 3rd while he pitched. Can’t believe he’s a HOF’er now. Still gives back to the community. My son plays on his field now. Thank you and congratulations big dog
I used to play for Vallejo High’s varsity baseball team. I’m part of the Class of 2020, in which the baseball season got cut short by the pandemic. Still had great memories, but the best ones were the team was helping out at CC’s camps and me helping out as an alum as well. CC got guts and a great heart. Happy for his HOF induction.
CC Sabathia is one of my favorite pitchers of all time! My favorite moment is when we got traded to the Milwaukee Brewers and help that team to go to the playoffs for the first time in a long time. Congratulations CC!
after CC, next HOF will be Zack Greinke, Justin Verlander, Max Scherez, Clayton Kershaw upset: Tim Lincecum (train too much Biceps) , Felix Hernandez (no enough stride) , Daivd Price (shoulders injury like Ben Sheet, Rich Harden, over swing behind his head) , Brandon Webb (shoulder injury stop pitching after age 30) BorderLine HOF: Roy Oswalt (not reach 3000 innings) --->3xAS, 1x ERA title, 2245 innings, 3.36ERA, 1852 SO, 163W) Jon Lester (not reach 3000 innings) , ---->5xAS, 2740 innings, 3.66 ERA, 2488 SO, 200W) Cole Hamels (not reach 3000 innings) --->4xAS, WS MVP, 2698 innings, 3.43 ERA, 2560 SO, 163W) Cliff Lee (not reach 3000 innings) ---> 1 Cy, 4xAX, 1x ERA title, 2156 innings, 3.52 ERA, 1824 SO, 143 W
he loves to catch the ball with his bare hand, like 0:26, 0:54 mainly 94-96mph, (mid 90s) of his career before move to Yankees after few season in Yankees his velo decrease to 91-92 then he start to learn cutter and also too fat....cause inconsistent performance, higher ERA (more than 4.0) lucky of his young career with good performance, his career ERA below 3.9, otherwise he can;'t get into HOF , probably will be the only pitcher who got 3k SO, 250Wins, 3.5k innings who didnt get into HOF XD
A pitcher like CC would LOATHE this new knee down catching BS! He gets ahead with 2 strikes he’s bouncing the next possibly 2 pitches and you’re most likely chasing one, I can only imagine how many strikeout safe at first runners he would have ended up with bc of this lazy catching trend we have now
I'm sorry, but the bar for who they let in the Hall of Fame is low.... CC Sabathia was an above avg pitcher but he was not an All-time pitching great... 3.78 career ERA regular season and 4.28 ERA post-season are no where near HOF caliber numbers.
Over 60 career WAR, 3,000 K’s, 250 Wins, a Cy Young, ALCS MVP and a ring. More than half of which was in the steroid era.. Seems to check all the boxes to me.
btk I agree. In what universe is he a Hall of famer? He's Hall of very good. My goodness. All went to s*** when they let Harold Baines in. And I love Harold.

Damn I forgot about that
I was in 7th grade. That run will never be forgotten. Dude was an absolute horse.
Absolutely. He helped revitalize the franchise. And no matter what the official scorebook says, that was a no-hitter against Pittsburgh.
I suppose you want him to have a Milwaukee hat in the Hall of Fame

@@Dr.SteveBrule Great story ❤️
My favorite Yankees pitcher of all time.
Every start of his was appointment viewing. Watching him from 2007-09 is a big part of what made me a lifelong baseball fan
Congrats Vallejo native CC Sabathia, we are so proud of you. btw, that homer in Dodger Stadium @2:07 was like Willie Stargell. Wow!

Love the one that supports his teamates ! Not just a good player also a great team leader
Greatest "rental" in Brewers history. Nothing but love for CC from Brewers nation.
Ayo Vtown Legend!! Mad proud of you CC !!!

Congratulations to CC; also, hearing the voice of the late, great Bob Uecker was a nice touch.
サバシアさんおめでとう🎉
Congratulations CC Sabathia
Lfg The whole state of Wisconsin will never forget your amazing run with us in 2008
It should be noted in an oddly classy act for the Yankees, they paid him the 500k anyway.
He is a Brewers legend for how he helped them get to the postseason in 2008.
CONGRATULATIONS CC
4:21 Even #Ichiro swung and missed on a CC Sebathia fastball... yeouch!
Edit: that was CC's one thousandth K! Now that's a double yeouch!
Man, is he pumped up!
Big guy big carrier big success
Congrats CC, they don't come any finer. BEST CHOICE IN A LONG TIME!!!🎉❤
As a kid when he was traded to Milwaukee, that team got me into baseball. Thank you CC and congratulations on the Hall you deserve it
Never forgot when he was robbed out of no hitter when he was on the Brewers.

Tim Lincecum (train too much Biceps) ,
Felix Hernandez (no enough stride) ,

Brandon Webb (shoulder injury stop pitching after age 30)

Congrats, CC!!!
Oh there’re hall of famers 😅
4:30 Ichiro and CC.

He was better than just above average and HoF worthy, but not first ballot. He’s a tier below Pedro, Maddox, Randy.
So 3000K's aren't good enough for ya?
@ idk, Is 3000k's all it takes? There have been many Pitchers with better and ridiculous k's to IP's ratio, but didn't have the longevity CC had....

The bottom 3rd of his career was forgettable. My man was just collecting a check at that point.
