This is another great video from Kirk. The best single plane instruction out there in my opinion. I would say this: Kirk doesn't waste any words, no chat, no filler, so you do need to take everything he says on board to get the best of the instruction, patiently stick with the drills etc... Every word counts. If the method doesn't work for you, you've missed something, simple as that. Check and review. My weak spot was the rotation on the down swing - I was still very 'armsy' - but I've pretty much got it, finally. And hitting absolutlely straight - and I do mean absolutley straight! - which for me is the most important thing of all.
Single plane convert struggling with the Moe Norman-oriented approach taught by others. Overnight, after implementing the few simple techniques that Kirk teaches here, I went from frustration to gaining confidence (i.e., straighter and farther) for all shots tee to green. Thanks, Kirk!
Kirk Junge in Gothenburg, Sweden. I came across golf July 2016, started my swing as Moe norman becaus of 2 sliped disks. Got the tip from my club to watch him on youtube. Got in to your style later and am at 5hcp, and i can not even understand why so many still are in the dark... :)
Hi Kyle..I will be running Florida schools now every month until April. I will likely be in Cincinnati in late May, and possibly again in Sept. Most people struggle trying to copy Moe. It is a very unnatural swing where most lose both distance and accuracy.
I take shallow divots often, but it depends on if the turf is soft or hard. Everyone has the wrists uncocked at impact. Most people though do it much too early. The drills teach you how to release at the right time.
is the relation of the grip to the left arm the same with driver and fairway wood? in other videos of yours it looks like the grip is pointing more toward the body with those clubs.
Yes, it should be the same pointing under my leading arm. Sometimes camera angle could make it look a bit different though, or I setup slightly off. I am not a machine. I guess...lol
Are you letting the club pull you through the swing? I myself feel as though because I swing too hard I'm not letting the club do the work. This video is great in a nutshell.
I feel like it is my body that is moving the club through impact with the hands controlling when the club is released. Many also have success thinking about moving their arms properly. This is also fine as long as the body is moving ahead of the arms like it would when throwing a ball.
I have been watching for a while now and am still trying to figure out what the hand action is that is getting you to the top. Is the right wrist folding back on itself (poor explanation)? Is it an upward "flick of the wrist." My explanations suck but this is where I feel I am not doing something right.
Hi Jeff, I find that golfers spend much too much time worrying about where they are at the top and how the wrists should cock. Working with people in person, or through my online program I rarely need to correct the position at the top. It is FAR more productive to work on the impact area of the swing. This is what counts in the golf swing. For the backswing look at drills 1 through 3 in the video here that you commented on. Basically at about knee-high with the clubhead the trailing arm begins to fold as the backswing continues the trailing wrist also bends and cocks. Work on this in slow motion and if possible shoot a video of yourself. Then you can compare to what you see me doing. Do not over complicate this move. It just needs to be in the ball park to begin with.

Q1. How often do you take a divot ? Q2 Do your wrists ever feel like they are “uncocking” for more distance .

What's the weight distribution on the legs at setup?

@@Setup4Impact thanks a lot!
Hey Kirk, would you recommend the something like the PLANEswing golf aid to assist in this style of swing?
No you do not need that. If you setup on your impact plane it is easy to stay on plane.

What would be the setup for hitting a 3or5 hybrid
The same setup for every club. Setup on your impact plane with the wrists uncocked.

Hi Kirk can you set up with an open stance with this setup? I only ask because I find it easier to turn through with an open stance set up
@@paulmorley1007 An open stance is fine. You likely have a path through impact from inside to out which is fine if the ball is flying where you want.
I live in South Carolina. Where is your school in North Carolina? Thanks!

It might be a great lessons, but fuck cut back the talk.
