I think that the item identified as a Victorian sewing awl is actually for lace making - a bobbin.

I think the "ring holder" is for stringing seed beads. Beads in well. Threaded beading needle inserted in well at bottom.
Handle used to turn it so beads slide down needle onto thread. I have one very similar for beading.

13.27 This could also be a lace making bobbin, missing it's spangle at the end with the hole. For it's size, could also be for tatting.

I agree, lace-making bobbin. I have several of these, quite similar, from forebears (from Devon which was a lace-making area).

12:06 It's actually called Orbeez there are usually several of them together of all different colors.
They CAN be a toy, but they also serve a functional purpose. Since they hold a LOT of water, you can mix them into or put them under the soil in a plant pot to help the plant to stay hydrated longer after watering. They are especially helpful for people who take a lot of vacations or go on a lot of business trips, or for people who's job keeps them away from home for long periods.

The cut oranges are far more likely to be set up as cat or bug repellents. Orange oil is especially good at repelling mosquitoes. Try rubbing an orange peel, the PEEL side, not the segments or the white, on your arms before going outside.

3:17 It’s got advertisement for the equine drug, Osphos. I was thinking they were blinds or padding for a bridle?
5:56 I was thinking that this was a drying rack.
6:46 This could be a caviar spoon with a tool to open the tin. Sturgeon roe were given away in saloons to encourage drinking.
9:26 The small wicker basket is for white wines, which ned to be chilled and the loop on the opposite side is for red wine, typically served at room temperature, so you wouldn’t need it to be insulated by the wicker. It has no base loop because some of the bottles (like chianti) can be kind of stout.
11:18 Antique surgical clamp for holding back large, open areas.

  • @Linda-de7np

I believe the ring was used for hitching a horse onto it. People would have a horse and buggy, and would use the ring as a support to keep the horse from panicking and therefore running away.

1:52 I had a friend who was a 911 operator. She said they used an alphabetical typing keyboard as opposed to a 'qwerty' keyboard. Had something to do with union rules and avoiding classification as secretarial, which had a higher rate of pay, if I remember correctly. That was my first thought, but I think the jukebox answer is correct.
