I have been using golf balls for file handles for years. So comfortable on the hand and they rarely wiggle loose. Just walk along the fence of your local driving range you will find so many that are outside of the fence. FREE!

Edge made in half a minute...And stupid me grinded my knife for hours by hand.It was a good edge but time consuming.Thank you for a nice idea of simple fast jig

Nice. My jig is similar, because I've seen a lot of variations of the same concept. But I've got to say, I think yours is the simplest, and is a good base to start from. You can always adjust, or customize, as your skills and understanding grow.
PS- I like the golf ball grips, nice touch!
