  • If you haven’t seen my previous video check it out! You’ll see how I got to Fort Lauderdale for this flight. This video focuses on terminals 3 and 4 at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and a departure out of this airport on a jetBlue A320. Looking for some elbow room? Watch this video to find out what I mean by this!

    Alonzo stands for Alonzo Mourning, a basketball star for the Miami Heat. He is retired and is vice president of player development for the Heat.

    Naval Commander Horatio Nelson would have no problem with elbow room/armchair. Joke aside. As a pilot, love your very informative straight-to-point videos on this platform. And for that, we thank thee -

    Thank you for the awesome video. Ha! Elbow Room. 👍 been there a few times. I'm down in Boca for a month. Yay! I took 2 very nice flights from ROC/ATL/PBI. Window seats in the back all the way on Delta. I discovered in the map feature on IFE, a detail map showingspeed, altitude, heading, and a 3D map of the ground. Had that on all the way. Pretty cool. Hope you had a great time in South FL. 🌴🌴🌴

    Peter, very informative videos! Like your explanation on the FRISBIE departure from FLL and the names of the route waypoints which are restaurants below. Back in the 1960s here in NY on the ILS approach to 22L for JFK there was a bar in New Hyde Park called “The Outer Marker”. It actually was about a half mile from the actual marker and was owned by an Eastern pilot. ✈️

    Thanks for getting us home safely again Peter - I agree with your policy of arriving at airports with plenty of time to take in the runway views, I have friends who make it to their flights with a tenth of a second to spare and who see nothing. I love the big viewing windows at Sydney airport.

    As expected, another wonderfully informative and interesting flight. I also prefer a window seat and find that looking out the window is far more interesting than the in-flight entertainment. Thanks for sharing your flight experiences and views!

    Love the video! As a fellow aviation enthusiast, another "hack" I like to use is to listen to LiveATC via the inflight WiFi connection. The only trouble can be finding the exact frequency but usually I can follow along fairly well

    Very nice. Good to see FLL. Terminal 3 is probably the least nice terminal there. Is it the same department plan from runway 10L as it is on 10R?

    • @PeterMasella
      @PeterMasella  Год назад +1

      Thanks for watching! The procedure from 10L is nearly identical.

    Thank you for another great video. Some quick comments: 1. You mentioned the terminal you left from is a shorter taxi for arriving aircraft. However, during the (less frequent) westerly operations, wouldn't the reverse be true? 2. Nice view of the Boca Raton airport after turning westbound (you can clearly see the runway strobe lights next to I-95). 3. I too have seen that ATC channel on Jetblue never to have it work. I wonder if it even exists (with pilot discretion) as I have never ever had it work. United is obviously a leader in that area with Channel 9. 4. Those were "Stellar" brand pretzels you were eating (not nuts as you mentioned) :-) Again thank you for a great video with interesting narration.

      1. That's a good point! 2. I saw BCT too! 3. Too bad! I loved United Channel 9! 4. Oops! I was so excited about flying I didn't even know what I was eating! Thanks so much for watching.

    Do the know the steelpan was invented in trinidad and tobago and its the only musical instrument to be invented in the 20th century?

    There is great aircraft Viewing area off of the 10 L runway at the beginning. They have a big speaker where you can hear the tower
    Off of 10 R there is a park with a nice trail that runs the length of the runway with great airplane viewing as well.
