Yes, also what the other comments are asking for as well...how much time do you spend during the week and weekend? Do you wish that you could study more hours than you are if you had extra time..? Anything else that requires your time in the direction of your studies....ie. other readings, podcasts, master classes, etc. I'm currently looking at Legal Eagle on RUclips/online. Tests, essays, extra sources outside of NWCSL, thank you. I see other people share my sentiment that you are doing a wonderful-wonderful service of getting this information out. Cheers and a big THANK YOU!!!
Thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! I answered a similar question in the comments below and will try to expand on it further in my next video!
The other two are Purdue University global and North Central University in California. I chose one of those two and I start in the fall I looked at the one you go to but I didn't like the funding policies that they had. Best of luck to you!
No federal financial aid available. You have to pay out of pocket. That's not a bad deal, as payments are as low as $325 per month, and you graduate with little to no debt. But, if you don't want to, or can't, absorb the cost up front, then this is not the option for you. Both Concord and JFK School of Law at NCU do offer federal financial aid. Otherwise, NWCU Law is a worthwhile option - especially with the potential to earn a JD with no debt on the back end.
@@ssteele1 @Sam Steele Concord is $50K tuition, JFK is $92K tuition... are you high? If you can't afford $325 a month....u have way bigger issues. Thanks for the info, im looking for an online law program I've been thinking about it for a while just feel like I may be too old to start since im 40🤔
Go for it!! You’re definitely not too old. At least as far as live classes go I think I am the youngest, most seem to be in their mid 40s up to their 70s and 80s!
Do you find that following the provided 12 month study plan for each course prepared you well for the final exam? It seems like it’d be a good way to forget things by the time you take the final.
You are amazing!. Thank you so much for all the helpful information, there is nothing like this anywhere. I've been postponing my enrollment for 1 year due the lack of REAL insight. Can you tell us: how much are the 1L books? Keep the great work and once again, thank you.
Hello. Thank you for uploading the informative video! I am Japanese and I live in Tokyo. May I ask you two questions? (1) Can I obtain JD without leaving Japan? I am wondering whether I need to attend on-campus lectures or exams... (2) Do I need to attend online live-lectures? It would be hard for me because of the time difference... Thank you in advance!
Yes you can do it without leaving Japan because nothing is done on campus. Attending live lectures is not required and all lectures are recorded and saved for you to watch at anytime. We have students from all around the world!
Hello. I am thinkig about applying here. Thank you so much for the info! I am subsrcibed! Just a quick question on the protocol with testing. Is it multiple choice? Proctored? Open book? Thanks again!
Hello. what do you mean u have to submit ALL CLASSES' case briefs at the same time? How are the classes on the same schedule? And do you think that is an effective way to learn? thx
The classes are taken concurrently just like any other school would be. To prevent people from trying to do 1 class at a time (which is not how it’s meant to be) you must submit the same type of assignments for each class together. So you don’t turn case briefs in until they are done for each class and you can submit them at the same time.
I believe April and October are when new live lecture series start, but it really is not that important to determining your start date. I would recommend trying to plan your start date around when you would be taking your finals (the last 4 weeks of the program) because I personally do not want to be stressed over studying for finals around the holidays or at the start of the summer.
@@1vnessy If you can fog a mirror, you can get into NWCU. Getting in is easy, staying in is harder. They let 500 in a year but only graduate around 40 a year. Lots of people drop.
Thanks for the information! are nwcu students required to take the baby bar exam although uwcu is now an accredited law school? thanks for your help! I am considering to enroll
No! Im not planning on leaving California anytime soon and if I do there are other states who will allow me to practice. Since the pandemic has started it has also shown that things are continuously evolving so it may even become ABA approved before I graduate!
@@MacyySuee Ok that sounds awesome. I’m really interested in the law program at northwestern California. I have my degree in prelaw but never pursued my law degree. My only concern was the ABA thing! Thanks!!
Yes you can still attend the school, but taking the bar depends on where you live. The NWCU website has some information on this, but you will have to do some research.
Is everyone from California or are yall planning on practicing in another state? I am from Texas and I am a Spanish teacher, but I am passionate about law. I have a degree in paralegal studies.
There are students from all over the world. Whether or not you can practice outside of California just depends on the exact location you want to be and what field you'd like to practice. NWCU has some information about it on their website!
@@MacyySuee Oh. I see. So because your school just got Cali Bar accredited then you don't have to, but others that have not received their Bachelors Degree do. You're lucky your school got CA Bar accredited because if not then you had to take the Baby Bar.
@@gemalopez6885 Yes, exactly! I don’t think you have to have a degree for it either though, just a minimum amount of college credit, but I was already finishing mine up when I found out about this school!
The school recommends you spend a minimum of 20 hours a week on schoolwork. I am a very fast reader which takes up a majority chunk of this time so I have found that I don't always have to spend that much time. Typically I spend 2-4 hours on classes on weekdays (2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the evening) and another 8-10 hours split across the weekend (Fri-Sun)!
No online law school is ABA accredited. Some non ABA accredited law schools are very good like Trinity in Orange County, CA. Trinity is not online. Law school graduates of online schools have a low pass rate of the California Bar Exam. However, it is doable. You have to take the baby bar after year one.
