Hi, could you please explain and share the technical drawing and working principle in detail ? Also I want to build a DIY overhead sump (3 ft long, height, width no constraint but has to be proportionate) with two parallel rows with U turn at one end, while rear row only houses mechanical media (sponges of different grades, wool etc) and front row holds biological media in multiple compartments (lava rock, burnt mud porous rock, zeolite rocks, dead coral rocks, varieties of ceramic rings, ceramic candles, crushed coral shells and many more naturally available highly porous media) with plants like money plant etc in those chambers to eat up Nitrates. The whole idea is ===>>>>> front row (visible from front) should look attractive with water plants and rocks while back row holds unattractive sponges, wool and remains hidden. Any idea how to accomplish this with your state-of-the-art design ? Let's stop hiding sumps underneath or under display aquarium hoods, instead make them look more attractive, aesthetic and a thing to flaunt and display ......

If all the debris is removed from settled chambers wont it kill beneficial bacteria...? Or decrease beneficial bacteria..?
This is for mechanical chamber, don't you worry we have biological chamber for beneficial bacteria.

@@diegoperez6751 that is dead and you need to sun dry before you use it. oysters shell is to help control the ph of the water.
