As someone who thrashed many 440 when they were cheap to buy that motor didn't let go at idle. My 440s held up with NOS and 6500 and never did I have a failure like that. The delivery driver is responsible for the cost of the new motor. Mark needs to look for rubber in the wheel wells and contact his lawyer. That goodness this wasn't a matching number car.
That Challenger must have been taken for a little joyride, and revved to hell and back to throw a rod like that. No way was it done at idle. It's the sort of thing narcissistic Darren Kirkpatrick would have done. God that man was a douch bag. The show improved 100,000% after Mark fired him.
I agree on that engine. I remember this video from when it was posted before, and I had commented on it then. That engine was beaten . HARD. That's why it let go, and it wasn't at idle.
Either faulty build or most likely idiotic abuse, 440s don't do this unless the owner/driver is completely ignorant and ignores engine sounds and vibrations. In my experience a properly built 440 with correct steel head gasket should be practically indestructible even under extreme usage. Oil pressure and temp gauges should never be ignored. But when money is no object why even have them or a tach for that matter.
7:37 Alyssa is looking Super Hot today
Wrong vinyl top…..
Wrong coloured stripe….
Yeah…great attention to detail…
The back tires we're not burned up on this car or a bunch of rubber up in the wheel Wells
That engine looks like it was in a burnout competition
Charles Fox wrote the song killing me softly. Roberta Flack simply sang it. Give credit where credit is due.
Mark knows his stuff about dodge's but he is way too cocky
Poor Mark needs to smoke one. LOL 😅
The only time I have seen that much damage on that engine is when it let go is when it was going wide open

not a vinyl top fan, but I guess they need to add them to make them complete
This is a couple years old repeat!
That 440 was WFO when it let loose

Surprised that he doesn't have the top of the line of the Road force balancer and a New Auto 34 touchless machine.
RFB is the shit. Makes a good car feel like a new car.

@@novaseline4u Did they ever get to the bottom of who did it? My guess is the truck driver took it for a little 'test drive'.
@@matthewgodwin3050 If they did, I don't think they ever said. I agree with you that the truck driver probably did it.
